This is the most difficult WNBA DFS Slate I can recall this season. Going back to just three games seems almost cruel after five and four-game slates last week, and finding worthwhile fantasy plays is even more difficult because I absolutely hate the Minnesota-San Antonio game. I would gladly avoid the entire game if I could. The Stars are averaging 72.4 points per game this season, and the Lynx are allowing 75.4 ppg. The last time they played, the game was over by the third quarter, and no Lynx played more than 25 minutes. Someone from Minnesota will probably have a big game and justify her price, but there are probably better places to spend your money.

The problem is there really aren’t any cheap plays worth pursuing, outside of one player who is, of course, in the aforementioned Stars-Lynx matchup. The situation at forward is pretty dire. Good luck finding anyone worth playing who costs less than $5000. That could change if Morgan Tuck or Lynetta Kizer return from injury, but even then those players would be difficult to trust right away. If you want to play any of the top forwards you probably have to go super cheap at guard. That is basically what I did for my optimal lineups since I really wanted to use Elena Delle Donne and Jonquel Jones. I was really tempted to go with all mid-priced players, but even that is difficult unless you are going to bite the bullet and play one of the Minnesota forwards.

Player FanDuel Price Comments
Elena Delle Donne, F, WAS $  8,000Delle Donne had scored more than 40 fantasy points in four straight games and more than 36 in six straight before she scored 24.4 and 26.6 fantasy points respectively in her last two games. As I mentioned in Friday's Playbook, I'm willing to forgive anyone who has a bad game against the Lynx. Delle Donne had at least 20 points and seven rebounds in each of her games against her former team, and there is no reason to believe Sunday will be any different.
Allie Quigley, G, CHI $  5,300Quigley has scored at least 19.8 fantasy points in every game this season. She may be the safest player in the entire slate.
Jonquel Jones, F, CON $  7,900Jones has scored at least 32.9 fantasy points in four consecutive games. No team has allowed as many points as the Wings this season, and Jones is the safest bet to capitalize on the matchup.
Shekinna Stricklen, G, CON $  4,600It was nice to see Stricklen get another start and play 34 minutes even with Alex Bentley back. Stricklen is averaging 20.5 fppg as a starter this season, and if Morgan Tuck and Lynetta Kizer remain out, Stricklen will be a solid value.
Tayler Hill, G, WAS $  5,100Hill has played at least 30 minutes in six games this season, including each of the last two. She has scored at least 24.6 fantasy points in each of those six games.
Courtney Vandersloot, G, CHI $  4,500Vandersloot went 1-7 from the field and 0-5 on threes in her first game back from Eurobasket, and she still managed 11.3 fantasy points. She will almost certainly shoot better Sunday, and it doesn't hurt that she had 10 points and six assists in her only game against Washington this season.
Glory Johnson, F, DAL $  6,600I was incredibly wrong about Glory Johnson Friday, but I find it encouraging she still took 12 shots in 25 minutes despite only making four of them. Johnson is shooting 46.3 percent from the field this season, and she will likely bounce back against Connecticut Sunday.
Monique Currie, G, SA $  3,600Currie has scored at least 29.2 fantasy points in each of her last two games, and if she comes close to repeating that Sunday, she will be an absolute steal. Currie scored 21.8 fantasy points against Minnesota back in May, and even that would be just fine. Currie is cheap enough I would even consider her in cash lineups even though I know better than to trust any Stars outside of Kayla McBride.
Theresa Plaisance, F, DAL $  4,400Plaisance has played at least 22 minutes in five consecutive games, and while she hasn't exactly been consistent, she did score 22 fantasy points or more in three of those games. Plaisance is the closest thing you can get to a safe forward for less than $5900.
Stefanie Dolson, F, CHI $  5,900I'm not ready to declare Dolson safe, but you could do far worse than 28 or more fantasy points in three of her last four games. Like a lot of the players in Sunday's slate, the biggest concern with Dolson is playing time.
Alyssa Thomas $  6,600Don't look now, but Alyssa Thomas has scored at least 29.1 fantasy points in five consecutive games. Even more than Shekinna Stricklen, Thomas is benefitting from the injuries to Morgan Tuck and Lynetta Kizer.
Karima Christmas-Kelly $  4,600Christmas-Kelly did not score a single point Friday and still scored 13.1 fantasy points. She hasn't made more than two field goals in any of her last five games. Kelly is bound to knock down some shots sooner than later, and it is nice to know she has a pretty high ceiling even if she isn't scoring.
