Welcome to the DFS MLB Playbook for Wednesday, June 7th

Another full day of baseball today, with 3 afternoon games and 12 games making up the main slate. For those playing the afternoon slate, we think you’re best bet is to go ahead and roster Strasburg and Kershaw on DK and monitor lineups for value plays (especially if there are some unexpected starters at Coors). For FD, we like Strasburg a little better than Kershaw (even if only because it allows the ability to roster some discounted Nats without having to face your rostered pitcher). As usual, our playbook has a little bit of everything for the day, but our optimal lineups (coming this afternoon, once lineups begin to post) will focus on the main slate. Be sure to check the hitting and pitching coaches before putting together your best winning lineups today!

He’s not on any of the sites currently (and we don’t really expect a late add), but if he does get added, Jacob Faria may be worth a GPP look in his big league debut. There’s obvious debut concerns, but the White Sox haven’t been nearly as potent against RHP this year and at the time of his callup, he was second in all of the minors with 84 punchouts in 58 innings. He was 6-1 with a 2.82 ERA in AAA to start the year, and for his minor league career he has 626 K’s in 599 IP (9.41 K/9).

There is a chance of rain in Colorado this afternoon, but they should be fine to get the game in, even if it’s a little delayed. Since you care more about hitters than pitchers at Coors, this shouldn’t be an issue. As of now, everything else looks clear, but we’ll keep a close eye on things as they develop throughout the day and keep you updated in the Weather Center.
