Welcome to the DFS MLB Playbook for Wednesday, May 31st

The last day of May. Wow. Time flies. The baseball season is already a third of the way through and we’ve certainly learned a lot. We’ve learned that one thing you can’t account for, no matter how much research is put into this thing, you just can’t account for in-game injuries. Yesterday, we saw Vince Velasquez’ velocity from from 95 in the first inning to 88 on his fastball by mid-2nd and he was soon after walking off the field with the trainer. Nelson Cruz had to leave early with calf tightness and Matt Andreise also suffered a groin injury during his start to cut it short.

Let’s now focus on what we CAN control. Wednesday’s full, broken-up slate that features a five-game early slate and a nine-game main slate. Once again, we have that sandwiched OAK/CLE game at 6:05 PM EST.  There are a lot of big-name pitchers taking the mound tonight, most of which are included in the main slate.

It appears that weather should not come into play too much today. But, you know how quickly that can change. So, keep an eye on the Weather Center for updates throughout the day.
