Jimmy Butler (sprained left ankle) said on Thursday that he will play in Friday's game vs. the Lakers.
Butler sprained his ankle during the first half of Wednesday's loss, but he remained in the game and did not depart until late. So it should come as no surprise that he fully anticipates being available for Game 2. That's huge news for the Heat, as both Bam Adebayo (neck) and Goran Dragic (foot) are listed as doubtful after leaving the series opener early due to their respective injuries.

B. Adebayo - PF
Bam Adebayo (neck strain) is listed as doubtful for Friday's Game 2 vs. the Lakers.
Wednesday's issue appeared to be a bit more serious than the one that Adebayo had to deal with during the conference finals, as he had to check out of Game 1 and did not return. Should Adebayo not be able to play Friday night that would be a huge hit for the Heat to absorb, and his absence would open up minutes for Kelly Olynyk.

G. Dragic - PG
Goran Dragic (plantar tear, left foot) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.
Dragic suffered the injury during the first half of Game 1, and while he was unable to return there were multiple reports that he was able to put some weight on the foot afterwards. Should he not be able to play that opens up minutes for Kendrick Nunn, who scored 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's blowout defeat.

P. Millsap - PF
Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said recently that he hopes Paul Millsap will end his career in Denver.
"I don’t think we could’ve asked for anything more in terms of where we are," Connelly said of Millsap on Wednesday. "He taught us so much about winning and how to get to this point." The veteran forward is expected to take his time with the free agency process, and the future of Jerami Grant in Denver (he can opt out this summer) will also factor into Millsap's decision. He's one of two Nuggets rotation post players who will definitely be unrestricted free agents this offseason, with the other being Mason Plumlee. Millsap wasn't a major factor fantasy-wise this season, providing 13th-round value in both eight- and nine-category formats.

J. Grant - SF
Michael Malone said on Thursday that he believes Jerami Grant, who can opt out of his contract this offseason, is a big part of the franchise's future.
While Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray received the majority of the headlines in Denver's run to the Western Conference Finals, Grant was also an important piece due to his versatility on both ends of the floor. Grant will likely command more than $9.4 million on the open market, so the question for the Nuggets will likely be how much are they willing to pay in order to keep him.

K. Walker - PG
Kemba Walker was "never right" physically during the Celtics' time in the bubble due to a lingering knee issue according to team president Danny Ainge.
One of the concerns across the NBA when the season resumed in Orlando was how players' bodies would adjust after not playing for more than four months and having limited (or no) access to team facilities the hiatus. Walker has been dealing with knee soreness since his college years, and he was unable to get back into the rhythm that he was in prior to the stoppage due to that issue. Boston hopes to get Walker back to full strength this offseason, with Ainge also saying that they do not believe that the All-Star point guard will need to undergo surgery to address the issue.

J. Tatum - PF
Celtics team president Danny Ainge said on Thursday that he's confident that the team and Jayson Tatum will come to terms on a contract extension.
The two sides won't be able to begin talks on a new contract right away per league rules, but Ainge was confident that the team will be able to lock Tatum in for the long-term. Earlier this week it was reported that the Celtics would offer the All-Star forward a max contract extension, which comes as no surprise given his importance. A happy Tatum would be good news for both the Celtics and fantasy players, as he stands to be a first round pick in all formats.

Jimmy Butler sprained his left ankle during the first half of Game 1 on Wednesday, but stayed in to finish with a team-high 23 points (8-of-13 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five assists, two steals and two rebounds.
We'll preemptively list Butler as 'questionable' for Game 2, but knowing his competitive spirit, it would be shocking if he wasn't active. Miami will also release at least four injury updates prior to the tip-off of Game 2, so there shouldn't be any surprises. The Heat were decimated on the glass in this game, 54-36, so that's an area they'll need to improve to win Game 2 on Friday.
