D. Schroder - PG
Dennis Schroder played through his foot infection on Thursday vs. Boston, scoring eight points (3-of-8 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with eight assists, one rebound and one triple in 28 minutes.
Schroder went from doubtful to starting after struggling to put pressure on his foot in warmups. He didn't look comfortable out there by any means, but credit to him for playing through the pain. Schroder was also in the news for another reason, as Ian Begley reported that the Knicks are expected to inquire about him in free agency this summer -- Schroder recently turned down a 4-year, $80M extension from the Lakers.

M. Gasol - C
Marc Gasol moved into the starting lineup on Thursday vs. Boston, scoring 18 points with four rebounds, three assists and four triples in 21 minutes.
Andre Drummond tweaked his toe vs. Brooklyn and was ineffective in his previous two games, so the Lakers opted to hold him out this evening. Gasol has been frustrated with his role but did well the last time he got extended run with 9.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.3 dimes, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 triples in three games from April 2nd to April 6th. Anthony Davis is scheduled to return on April 22nd though, and Gasol is unlikely to pick up much steam with Drummond said to be day-to-day.

T. Thompson - PF
Tristan Thompson moved into the starting lineup on Thursday vs. the Lakers, scoring 14 points with six rebounds, five assists and one block in 25 minutes.
Robert Williams was out with a sore left knee and is said to be day-to-day. Thompson hasn’t exactly been inspiring this season as he ranks outside the top-250 in standard leagues in 22 minutes, so he’s only worth a deep-league stream when Williams is unavailable.

J. Tatum - SF
Jayson Tatum finally cooled off vs. the Lakers on Thursday with 14 points (6-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, five dimes and two triples in 28 minutes.
The reigning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Tatum has helped the Celtics win their fifth straight and seven of their last eight games, putting home court advantage in reach. "We know it's been an up-and-down season," Tatum said. "We've had to battle a lot of things with Covid, and guys being injured. We're just trying to build momentum. We're trying to get where we want to be. Wherever we fall in the playoff seeding, we'll be fine. We'll be ready.” Tatum has been unfair in fantasy lately, coming into tonight averaging 34.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.0 dimes and 3.8 triples in his previous four games. He took a backseat to Jaylen Brown (40 points) in this one, but should feast against the Warriors on Saturday.

J. Brown - SG
Jaylen Brown went off for 40 points in Thursday's 121-113 win vs. the Lakers, shooting 17-of-20 from the field with nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and three triples.
Coach Brad Stevens said he was "unreal" and fantasy managers would agree. “Tonight he was really dialed in scoring the ball," Stevens added. "He’s had a great year and he continues to get better.” Brown has been one of the hottest players in the East, posting top-30 numbers in his previous four games with 25.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 dimes, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and 3.5 triples on 49% shooting. With matchups coming up vs. the Warriors and Bulls, the Celtics will like their chances of extending their winning streak to seven games.

D. Fox - PG
De'Aaron Fox scored 27 points in Thursday's loss to the Suns, hitting 11-of-21 shots and 5-of-7 free throws with eight assists, three rebounds and one steal in 40 minutes.
This was Sacramento’s 9th straight loss which ties their worst streak of the season. The Kings are fading fast despite De’Aaron Fox’s best efforts, and you have to wonder if they will soon start to dial him back with the playoffs being out of the question. In his previous five games, he was playing at a first-round valuation with 32.0 points, 7.2 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.4 triples.
Added 12:35 am (EST)
H. Whiteside - C
Hassan Whiteside started the second half of Thursday's loss to the Suns, finishing with a double-double of 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 24 minutes.
Whiteside had 12 points, nine boards, two assists, a steal and four blocks in 23 minutes on Wednesday and has been getting extended run with Richaun Holmes (hamstring) out. Holmes will miss at least one more game and possibly more with hamstring injuries being so tricky, so hopefully you were able to scoop Whiteside off the waiver wire even if he’s only a short-term solution. He’s had a rough season for the most part due to some uneven play and injury concerns, but his per-minute production is in line with previous years which is all fantasy managers should care about.
Added 12:33 am (EST)
C. Johnson - PF
Cameron Johnson cooled off vs. the Kings on Thursday with six points, three assists and two rebounds in 22 minutes, missing all five of his 3-point attempts.
Johnson had been trending up in category leagues with at least three triples in five of his previous seven games, averaging top-80 numbers of 12.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 dimes, 1.0 steals and 2.7 triples in 23 minutes. The low workload makes him a volatile fantasy option for off shooting nights like these though, making him more of a fringe standard league player.
