Point Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # of Games | Analysis |
1 | Luka Doncic | DAL | 3 | Even without having a full slate, Doncic is one of four players in the top tier of overall production. He'd be high up in the rankings even with two games. |
2 | Trae Young | ATL | 4 | Young should be one of the top fantasy producers this week as John Collins is still suspended and he is by far and away the Hawks top scoring option and he's found other targets for assists in the Hawks forwards. |
3 | Malcolm Brogdon | IND | 4 | Brogodon's back is feeling better and he should be able to play in his full slate of games with the only fear being that his Back may tighten up if he's given a huge workload in his first game of the week. |
4 | Ben Simmons | PHI | 4 | Simmons hit a three-pointer and the Basketball World stopped for a brief second, but, it shouldn't be a regular thing we should expect as he's a far better driver. |
5 | Damian Lillard | POR | 3 | Lillard's back is feeling better after having to miss games and experiencing his back tightening up later in the week. Even with Carmelo Anthony aboard, it won't impact Lillard's share of the shots in Portland. |
6 | Devonte' Graham | CHA | 4 | Graham continues to amaze and has been very critical in close game situations and he'll continue getting a lot of time to run the point and he does a great job getting to the basket. |
7 | Chris Paul | OKC | 4 | Paul has been able to take advantage of the lack of depth in OKC and with some of the Thunder's mid-court banged up, expect Paul to continue to log a lot of shots. |
8 | Eric Bledsoe | MIL | 4 | Bledsoe will continue to get more time with the ball with Khris Middleton injured and that will result in Bledsoe taking more shots as the third option on the floor behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez . |
9 | Spencer Dinwiddie | BKN | 4 | Dinwiddie will have another few games of running the point by himself with Kyrie Irving hurt. With Irving expected to miss a couple of games this week, Dinwiddie will speed up the Nets offense and drive a lot. |
10 | Terry Rozier | CHA | 4 | Rozier is still making a fantasy impact even though he's being outplayed by Graham. Luckily for Rozier, he can bounce between both guard positions and the Hornets don't have too much depth to take shots away. |
11 | Ja Morant | MEM | 4 | Morant has been doing an excellent job driving and drawing contact. The only people holding him back is the Memphis coaching staff, but, they are starting to loosen the grip on his minutes by letting him play 30. |
12 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 4 | Dragic has been able to stay healthy for the most part and with other Heat players in and out of the lineup due to injury, they've had to rely on Dragic more for scoring. |
13 | Dejounte Murray | SAS | 4 | Murray has been getting a bit of rest as the Spurs want to do everything they can to keep him healthy, but luckily for Murray owners, he doesn't have a back to back this week and should play in all four games. |
14 | Derrick Rose | DET | 4 | Rose will continue to see a lot of shots and time with the ball with Reggie Jackson still hurt and at this point even when Jackson returns, they should still let Rose start and lead the guards in scoring. |
15 | Mike Conley | UT | 4 | Conley has been starting to get into a rhythm in Utah as he clearly wasn't used to playing on a team with a lot of shooters as Memphis was in re-build mode last season. His scoring numbers have gone up lately. |
16 | Kendrick Nunn | MIA | 4 | Nunn earned his rotation spot earlier in the season and he'll help keep the pace of the Heat's offense moving quickly and he'll still get a good amount of shots in the offense and he'll help grab steals. |
17 | Dennis Schroder | OKC | 4 | Schroder has been very productive off the bench and will lead the Thunder's second unit in scoring. He'll run the offense, take a lot of shots, and he's even been helpful on the glass grabbing 4.4 boards per game. |
18 | Isaiah Thomas | WSH | 4 | Other Wizards players besides Bradley Beal need to continue to step up and Thomas has taken advantage of the open minutes given to him with John Wall out and he'll continue helping score and distribute. |
19 | Rajon Rondo | LAL | 4 | Rondo's minutes are going up and his production will continue to rise as well. Look at Rondo as a player who will help more with dimes, boards and steals. He's scored in double figures in two of his last four games. |
20 | Kemba Walker | BOS | 4 | INJ: Walker suffered what looked to be a scary neck injury in which he had to be helped off the floor. He's been working out and it's hard to tell how much of his full he will miss this week. |
Shooting Guard
RANK | NAME | Team | # of Games | Analysis |
1 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 4 | Beal gets the top spot with the full slate of games and as expected, he's the prioritized scorer who will always get fed a ton of shots, even if he's missing these shots. He's played over 37 minutes per game. |
2 | Jimmy Butler | MIA | 4 | Butler is the Heat's top scoring option and has had to play in the lane a bit more with other Heat forwards in and out of the lineup and he'll never have to worry about minutes or shots and he'll help w/ steals. |
3 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 4 | Mitchell has done a good job changing up his offense and not just staying at the arc, or trying as much isolation. Teams forget that he's strong on the drive and he'll continue having success if he switches it up. |
4 | Fred VanVleet | TOR | 4 | VanVleet has another week without Kyle Lowry in the lineup and even though his assist-numbers may drop once Lowry returns, he'll still get a ton of minutes and shots. He's been a solid fill-in option for Lowry. |
5 | James Harden | HOU | 2 | Harden still makes it this high even with the short slate of the week. The Rockets guards handle the overwhelming majority of the offensive-burden and Harden will continue taking a ton of three-pointers. |
6 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 4 | Brown will continue to take advantage of Gordon Hayward being hurt and he'll get a good chunk of shots. Brown has matured as a shooter this year and now with a bigger role, he'll be able to produce more. |
7 | DeMar DeRozan | SAS | 4 | DeRozan's commitment to defense will always make him a tougher match up. His frame being as lanky as it is allows him to be agile and to contest shots as well. Expect help with scoring and elbow rebounding. |
8 | Lou Williams | LAC | 4 | Williams produces a ton off the bench giving hope and more value to other bench players who have been productive this season. He'll get time to run the point and will benefit when Kawhi Leonard sits. |
9 | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | OKC | 4 | Gilgeous-Alexander has broken out this season by scoring nearly 20 points per game and helping out on the glass and even on the perimeter grabbing steals. He'll always be in line for a lot of shots. |
10 | Jeremy Lamb | IND | 4 | Lamb's Ankle is healthy and with Victor Oladipo still out, he'll get a good amount of shots and he's not just a shooter as fantasy owners can rely on him to grab boards and steals at the perimeter as well. |
11 | Luke Kennard | DET | 4 | Kennard will continue getting a lot of shots from the arc. He has handles, but is more of a JJ Redick -type of player with the role the Pistons have him in. He'll help out big time with percentages such as free throws. |
12 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 4 | The Magic's frontcourt is injured and Fournier's usage will go up as he'll become the prioritized shooter from the elbow and arc. He'll be taking more shots, playing more minutes and has a full slate this week. |
13 | Josh Richardson | PHI | 4 | Richardson has been a little banged up for the last week or two, but should be able to play in his full slate of games and even though he's the fourth option, the Sixers don't have a lot competition behind him. |
14 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | Smart gets the boost and bump in minutes with Gordon Hayward hurt and fantasy owners will hate Smart's shot selection 50 percent of the time, but he will fill-in for Kemba Walker if he misses time. |
15 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 3 | Wiggins continues to silence his doubters by providing a lot of offense for the Timberwolves and he's even been helpful on the glass and dishing dimes. He blocks at least one shot per game as well. |
16 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | The Pelicans health is slowly improving, but Holiday will continue to get prioritized. He won't be asked to run the point as much with Lonzo Ball healthy and his assist-numbers may drop a touch. |
17 | CJ McCollum | POR | 3 | McCollum owners shouldn't be too worried with the shot-heavy Anthony on the team as the Blazers don't have a lot of shooters and Whiteside can't hit outside shots. Consider McCollum safe. |
18 | Alec Burks | GSW | 4 | Burks along with Ky Bowman will serve as the guard depth until D'Angelo Russell comes back. Burks has taken advantage of the open shots given to him and he'll also run the point when needed. |
19 | Dillon Brooks | MEM | 4 | Brooks doesn't even need 30 minutes in a given game to be productive as he's been taking almost 12 shots per game and helping out on the glass by grabbing long boards. He's been grabbing a steal per game. |
20 | Zach LaVine | CHI | 3 | LaVine is the prioritized scorer in Chicago and he's been able to stay healthy this season. He has a strong drive, but, he's been needed at the arc to hit long-range jumpers. He's been helpful grabbing boards. |
Small Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # of Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | LAL | 4 | James takes the top spot as he continues showing why he's this generation's Magic Johnson. He'll spend time running the point but doesn't want to stay exclusively at that spot. Expect a lot of points and dimes. |
2 | Kawhi Leonard | LAC | 4 | While Leonard has the full slate of games, I'm watching the news-wire to see if anything comes through about him sitting in either Tuesday or Wednesday's game. Don't be surprised if the Clippers rest him a game. |
3 | Tobias Harris | PHI | 4 | Harris takes a good amount of shots from the arc, but he'll still use his slashing game as well when he's in a one-on-one situation with the ball. He's been a reliable rebounder and has been helpful with steals. |
4 | Jonathan Isaac | ORL | 4 | Isaac's usage will certainly go up as he'll become a prioritized scorer, especially if Aaron Gordon has to miss time. Gordon's status will be game-by-game, but with Vucevic out, more plays are coming for Isaac. |
5 | Brandon Ingram | NO | 3 | Ingram is fully healthy and we can expect him to return to being the multi-category producer that he's been this season. He's made a major scoring impact for the Pelicans this season. |
6 | Danilo Gallinari | OKC | 4 | Gallinari is the Thunder's second leafing scorer and he's been helpful on the glass, but spends a lot of time at the arc serving as the bailout shooter on offense and he has size and needs to set up inside. |
7 | Jae Crowder | MEM | 4 | Crowder doesn't have much competition behind him and as he continues to hustle hard on both sides of the ball, his minutes will remain safe and he'll help with scoring and rebounding. |
8 | Taurean Prince | BKN | 4 | Prince has a similar role to Crowder and will be featured a good amount and doesn't have much depth behind him. With Irving and Caris LeVert hurt, expect Prince to be featured more in the Nets offense. |
9 | OG Anunoby | TOR | 4 | Anunoby has been able to show his growth on the offensive side of the ball. He's a hound of a defender on the perimeter, but on offense, he's been getting to the basket a lot more and is blocking shots. |
10 | Rudy Gay | SAS | 4 | Gay has been tough at the elbow and in the post on both sides of the ball. He's a good mid-range shooter who finds himself open a lot as opposing defenses wait for him to drive in the paint. |
11 | Miles Bridges | CHA | 4 | The Hornets are intentionally limiting their veteran forwards so that Bridges can grow and learn how to create his own shots and read screens better. He has the defensive side of the pro-game down. |
12 | Tyler Herro | MIA | 4 | Herro will continue to be featured and he'll get a good amount of shots. His defense will earn him more minutes as he's good at fighting through screens and that will result in more steals. |
13 | T.J. Warren | IND | 4 | The Pacers frontcourt is healthy but Warren should see playing time at both forward positions. On offense, he'll mainly serve as a bailout shooter, but he can get inside and score from right outside the paint. |
14 | Joe Harris | BKN | 4 | Harris will see more shots with Irving and LeVert hurt. Harris is one of the most reliable long-distance shooters in the league and he can even bring up the ball if needed and play at multiple positions. |
15 | Glenn Robinson III | GSW | 4 | Robinson doesn't have any competition at his position and he's better on defense than offense. He'll take long-range shots when he's open. He's a reliable rebounder and he'll help with steals. |
16 | Marcus Morris | NY | 3 | Morris has been a catalyst for the Knicks offense all season. He sets up at the arc a lot but then will follow his shots up. On defense, he's been very aggressive on the perimeter and he'll help grab steals. |
17 | De'Andre Hunter | ATL | 4 | Hunter has shown major improvement in his game since Kevin Huerter got injured. He's playing with a lot more confidence, taking a lot more chances and is scoring in double figures more consistently. |
18 | Bogdan Bogdanovic | SAC | 3 | Bogdanovic had been banged up, but his lower-body injury seems to be behind him and he'll continue getting time to run the point and even more shots with De'Aaron Fox still injured. |
19 | Rodney Hood | POR | 3 | Hood may see fewer shots because of Anthony, but he's the best defender Portland has and will be needed on the court a lot to defend the perimeter. Expect Hood to see a lot of 30-minute games. |
20 | Kenrich Williams | NO | 3 | Williams has been a bit of a defensive spark for the Pelicans with their forwards continuing to get hurt and while his minutes will likely drop as teammates return, he's been helpful grabbing boards, steals and blocks. |
Power Forward
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 4 | When the Greek Freak has a full slate, expect him to contend for being the top producer. He's needed to take a few shots from the arc with Middleton out, but his game is driving and drawing contact. |
2 | Anthony Davis | LAL | 4 | Davis has been able to stay in the lineup, but, he's hurting again as his Shoulder has been sore. He should be active for his first game of the week, but with the full slate, don't be surprised if he rests for a game. |
3 | Pascal Siakam | TOR | 4 | Siakam has needed to be even more productive with Serge Ibaka out of the lineup. Anunoby has been very helpful in giving the Raptors another attacker with size because Marc Gasol camps out at the arc. |
4 | Paul George | LAC | 4 | George has been very productive since returning and if Leonard needs to rest for a game, expect George to be even more productive. He's a multi-category producer and his minutes won't be limited. |
5 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 4 | Tatum will continue being prioritized in the offense leading the frontcourt in scoring. If Walker has to miss multiple games due to injury, Tatum becomes far and away the top scoring option. |
6 | Al Horford | PHI | 4 | Horford has been a good fit in Philly as he spends some of his time at the arc and other times in the post. Being at PF has allowed him to pick up more loose balls in the lane. |
7 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 4 | Aldridge has shown signs of life in his production after starting the season off very slow. He's been scoring more and is balancing his offense nicely between the post and the arc. |
8 | Bojan Bogdanovic | UT | 4 | Bogdanovic will see more plays in the post if Gobert needs to miss time as the Jazz are running out of big men to attack the post. Bogdanovic has been once again a strong shooter this year. |
9 | Myles Turner | IND | 4 | Turner has been able to get a lot of openings at the elbow and the arc. Turner has made two three-pointers per game. He's also been blocking shots right outside the paint blocking 2.1 shots per game. |
10 | Blake Griffin | DET | 4 | Griffin has been able to stay healthy since returning but he's not rebounding as much as expected. He makes up for it a little with dishing four dimes per game, but he needs those rebounding numbers to rise. |
11 | Jabari Parker | ATL | 4 | Parker has been a scoring force for the Hawks since John Collins got suspended and he'll continue to be a prioritized scorer when Young gets double-teamed at the arc. Parker has grabbed 6.1 boards per game. |
12 | Draymond Green | GSW | 4 | INJ: There's a chance that Green misses his first game of the week as his Heel is hurting. Green has missed his last two games and continues to suffer from minor injuries and he's needed to play major minutes. |
13 | Kevin Love | CLE | 3 | INJ: Love has missed games in the last week with a Back injury and it's hard to tell how much pain he is in. Seeing his status for games change close to game time makes me wonder if the Cavs are resting him. |
14 | Kristaps Porzingis | DAL | 3 | Porzingis has been very much on the same page with Doncic and they have excelled at executing the give-and-go this season. He's also been blocking 2.2 shots per game and grabbing 9.1 rebounds per game. |
15 | Brandon Clarke | MEM | 4 | Clarke has put a strong season together and has been the inside presence the Grizzlies have needed. Clarke has been scoring in double figures consistently, helping out on the glass and blocking shots. |
16 | Eric Paschall | GSW | 4 | Paschall will still be needed to log a lot of minutes at PF as Green might sit to start the week and when Green sits, Paschall inherits more minutes, shots and his production will naturally go up. He'll get time at SF. |
17 | Jaren Jackson Jr. | MEM | 4 | Jackson has not had any kind of breakout season, but he's still scoring over 14 points per game and grabbing at least 5 boards per game. He'll also help a bit with blocks. His scoring has been up and down all year. |
18 | P.J. Washington | CHA | 4 | Washington has definitely cooled off since the start of the season and his scoring numbers have shown it over the last few weeks, but his steals, boards and blocks efforts have saved his minutes and production. |
19 | Rui Hachimura | WSH | 4 | Hachimura has a solidified role playing at the elbow and working his way inside. Besides scoring and grabbing 5.3 boards per game, he'll help grab loose balls in the lane. He'll get a good amount of shots. |
20 | Moritz Wagner | WSH | 4 | Wagner has been able to take advantage of the few minutes he's been given. He doesn't play 20 minutes per game, but Wagner has scored in double figures in five of his last six games. Minutes will go up. |
Center
RANK | NAME | Team | # of Games | Analysis |
1 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Drummond continues to be the most dominant rebounder in the league and will continue to have the paint to himself if Griffin stays away from the glass as he has been since returning to the lineup. |
2 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 4 | Embiid should be able to play in this full slate without having any kind of back to back situation and he's been helpful in every fantasy category this season. He's even dished three assists per game. |
3 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 3 | Towns would be the top wolf if he had the full slate of games. He provides a ton of offense and grabs a lot of boards. He'll help grab loose balls in the lane and will block shots consistently. |
4 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 4 | Sabonis has been a monster in the paint this season and it works out well because Turner plays more at the arc on offense and Sabonis gets most of the plays in the post. Expect strong rebounding all season. |
5 | Rudy Gobert | UT | 4 | INJ: There's a chance that Gobert misses his first game of the week with an injured Ankle. He sat his previous game. |
6 | Bam Adebayo | MIA | 4 | Adebayo has been huge for the Heat this year when it comes to scoring and rebounding and he'll even take advantage of opposing defenses falling asleep by bringing up the ball and driving the lane. |
7 | Montrezl Harrell | LAC | 4 | Harrell has been able to play over 30 minutes per game and he helps in a lot of areas except for outside shooting. He'll grab a good amount of boards and he'll produce steals and blocks. |
8 | Thomas Bryant | WSH | 4 | Bryant will continue to get a lot of minutes even though some of the Wizards other big men have stepped up in recent weeks. Bryant can even stretch the floor a bit and hit long-range jumpers. |
9 | Jarrett Allen | BKN | 4 | Allen has been a bit more productive than DeAndre Jordan this season and the Nets seem to rely on Allen a bit more in close games. Allen is raw offensively, but he'll produce boards and blocks consistently. |
10 | Jonas Valanciunas | MEM | 4 | Valanciunas has proven that he doesn't need a lot of playing time to produce, but owners must know that he's not going to see 30 minutes very often, especially with Clarke being as productive as he's been. |
11 | Brook Lopez | MIL | 4 | Lopez will continue to get more shots with Middleton out of the way for now and he'll help with blocks on defense, but he still hasn't figured out how to produce more boards considering he's a seven-footer. |
12 | DeAndre Jordan | BKN | 4 | Jordan will still have time in the Nets rotation and he'll get a good amount of boards and blocks, but the scoring production hasn't been as easy for Jordan to find. He's in a major timeshare for minutes. |
13 | Cody Zeller | CHA | 4 | Zeller will mainly play in the paint and be the Hornets main man in the middle and he's grabbed 8.5 rebounds per game this season and has scored over 11 points per game this season. The Hornets will watch his PT. |
14 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams hasn't looked the same this season and has had to sit out games due to injury a decent amount. He'll still get a lot of minutes, but double-doubles aren't happenning as consistently for him this season. |
15 | Hassan Whiteside | POR | 3 | INJ: Whiteside continues to show how banged up he is from the Hip down and he's missed his last few games, but should be ready for his first game of the week on Monday night. |
16 | Tristan Thompson | CLE | 3 | Thompson has shown the nine to 10 rebounds per game potential in previous season's, but seeing his scoring go up to nearly 15 points per game is encouraging. He plays over 31 minutes per game. |
17 | Davis Bertans | WSH | 4 | Bertans has surely taken advantage of the minutes given to him as he's seeing a lot of games playing in the late 20's. He's scored in double figures and grabbed at least five boards in his last four games. |
18 | Marc Gasol | TOR | 4 | The Raptors literally leave Gasol at the arc despite him being a big man. He doesn't score in double figures anumore and his rebounding as of late along with blocks and steals have saved his production. |
19 | Dwight Howard | LAL | 4 | Howard has been able to get at least 20 minutes per game in the Lakers rotation and Anthony Davis will take center minutes away from him. Rely on Howard for boards and blocks with scoring as a bonus. |
20 | Daniel Theis | BOS | 4 | Theis gets the final spot because he's grabbed double-digit boards in three of his last four games. Owners can expect boards, steals and blocks from Theis. Enes Kanter has not looked the same this season. |
