Point Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Russell Westbrook | OKC | 4 | Westbrook takes back the top spot in the full slate and will be more involved in the scoring if Paul George has to sit for another game. He's always good for boards, assists and steals. |
2 | Damian Lillard | POR | 4 | With the Blazers frontcourt frequently hurt, Lillard will have to drive more to make defenses collapse and because C.J. McCollum relies too much on his jumper, it's up to Lillard to attack. |
3 | Chris Paul | HOU | 4 | Paul and Harden have been an excellent 1-2 punch and he gets his own chunk of shots and ability to create with the ball and he looks like he's playing pain free. Always good for assists. |
4 | Kyle Lowry | TOR | 3 | Lowry continues to be a priority scorer in the Raptors offense because outside of their Guards, the Raptors don't get consistency in their front and mid-court. Will help big time w/ dimes and steals. |
5 | Kemba Walker | CHA | 4 | Walker will be needed to take on even more responsibilities on offense because Nicolas Batum and Jeremy Lamb are banged up and he'll look more to push the ball inside. Shots go WAY up. |
6 | Kyrie Irving | BOS | 4 | Irving has balanced out his offense nicely and we continue to see similarities in the way Irving runs the team to how Isaiah Thomas ran the team last season. Expect consistent points and assists. |
7 | Goran Dragic | MIA | 4 | Dragic will need to continue to shoot more until Hassan Whiteside returns. He has an excellent drive and draws a lot of contact and remains the Heat's top scoring option. He'll help with assists too. |
8 | Spencer Dinwiddie | BKN | 4 | Dinwiddie has filled in for the Nets injured Guards very well as he keeps the offense moving at a quick pace and will always look to attack with the ball and doesn't force up bad shots. |
9 | Reggie Jackson | DET | 4 | Jackson is starting to show signs of how he played last season as his decision-making with the ball is becoming questionable. He's still a priority shooting/scoring option and will dish for production. |
10 | Austin Rivers | LAC | 4 | Rivers playing time is about to be threatened with the return of Milos Teodosic looming, but should still remain the starter with a decently long leash and his three-point shooting has been solid. |
11 | Dennis Schroder | ATL | 3 | Schroder is desperately needed because the Hawks keep losing players and like Kemba Walker, he'll be expected to shoot more and has tremendous quickness. Expect points, assists and steals. |
12 | Jeff Teague | MIN | 3 | Teague finds a way to keep himself involved in the offense and at times it limits the amount of shots Andrew Wiggins and Jimmy Butler take. Teague is good at moving with the ball in the paint. |
13 | Marcus Smart | BOS | 4 | Smart has been trending down a bit. Between poor decision-making, desperate shooting and turning the ball over, it's been rough, but, he still plays over 30 minutes per game and grabs boards & steals. |
14 | Eric Bledsoe | MIL | 3 | Bledsoe has been getting the job done of feeding The Greek Freak and assists will always be up and he's still competing with Khris Middleton to see who the true second scorer is in Milwaukee. |
15 | Kris Dunn | CHI | 3 | Dunn has been able to secure the starting spot, a lot of minutes and he's been passing the ball better since returning from injury. Dunn looks to drive from the corner to draw contact. He'll help w/ steals. |
16 | Rajon Rondo | NO | 3 | Rondo will always be more of a rebounder and assist guy than a scorer as he'll only shoot when he's open from the outside and Jrue Holiday is a better attacker. He'll also swipe the ball away. |
17 | Elfrid Payton | ORL | 3 | Payton will be asked to be more involved in the offense this week with Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon banged up and b/c Vucevic is such an inside player, expect Payton to shoot more three's this week. |
18 | Ricky Rubio | UT | 3 | Rubio's shooting remains inconsistent, but he's doing a good job pushing the ball inside and setting up Donovan Mitchell on the run. Assists and steals will always be high. He's still involved in scoring. |
19 | Darren Collison | IND | 3 | Suffering from pain in his Knee and there's a chance he may have to miss a game this week, but SHOULD play in all games as of now. |
20 | John Wall | WSH | 4 | Could return from his Knee injury in the middle of the week and potentially still play in 3 of his 4 games this week. |
Shooting Guards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | James Harden | HOU | 4 | Harden takes back the top spot with the full slate and even with a healthy Chris Paul and Eric Gordon, Harden is still the top all-around option and see's success all over the court and stat-sheet. |
2 | DeMar DeRozan | TOR | 4 | DeRozan will continue to be fed more due to the fact that the Raptors frontcourt has trouble scoring. Always expect scoring, rebounding and steals. He's improved at hitting the cutter and hits hard shots. |
3 | Bradley Beal | WSH | 4 | Beal is on his way to moving back to being the second scoring option for the Wizards with John Wall coming back, but he'll see less double-teams and should see more open shots this week. |
4 | Tyreke Evans | MEM | 4 | Evans has not been an impressive all-around player for the Grizzlies, but he's remained healthy. He helps with all categories and his play has made him the second scoring option with Mike Conley out. |
5 | Victor Oladipo | IND | 3 | Oladipo moves down a bit because of the lack of full slate, but he's found his place on the Pacers and has turned into the 1A top scoring option for the Pacers along with Myles Turner. |
6 | CJ McCollum | POR | 4 | McCollum continues to rely on his jumper and it's very frustrating because he has the quickness to work in the lane. He'll mainly help with scoring when his shot is on. Blazers frontcourt is hurt. |
7 | Lou Williams | LAC | 4 | Williams has been a top scoring option with Blake Griffin and Patrick Beverley out. He should have some breathing room from defenses to create with Danilo Gallinari back on the floor. |
8 | Eric Gordon | HOU | 4 | Gordon continues to play a huge role with the Rockets second unit. He's driven in the lane more this year and he's a strong outside shooter. He's been a good cutter and fights to keep plays alive. |
9 | Jaylen Brown | BOS | 4 | Brown plays excellent defense and we should always expect steals. He'll score in double figures, but he's still learning how to create space with the ball and has cooled off a bit since the start of the season |
10 | Khris Middleton | MIL | 3 | Middleton will need to do more than wait for the ball at the arc and he has the size to play in the high post. Middleton will provide minor rebounding and assist help and his playing time is secure. |
11 | Jrue Holiday | NO | 3 | Holiday mainly gets to create from the arc and elbow when Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins are both healthy and on the court. He see's openess at the free-throw line and helps with assists. |
12 | Avery Bradley | DET | 4 | Bradley mainly stays on the arc waiting to get fed to shoot long-range jumpers, but his defense is still very stifling and he'll continue to grab long rebounds and get steals and play deep into games. |
13 | Donovan Mitchell | UT | 3 | Mitchell has been impressive and with Rodney Hood hurting, he gets even a longer leash. He continues to be a better creator with the ball than Hood and is able to see success in the lane. |
14 | Gary Harris | DEN | 3 | Harris is technically the top scoring option for the Nuggets with both Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic out and will shoot the ball from long and mid-range and he continues to shoot consistently. |
15 | Dion Waiters | MIA | 4 | Waiters doesn't want to be relegated to the bench and he's been in and out of the Heat's lineup all season. He's very scoring dependant, but also picks up more shots with Whiteside out. |
16 | Allen Crabbe | BKN | 4 | Crabbe is back in the Nets lineup and will be a big producer running with the Nets second unit and we should expect him to score in double figures consistently until D'Angelo Russell returns. |
17 | Justin Holiday | CHI | 3 | Holiday continues to be a bailout shooting option as he's slown down a bit since the start of the season. He still gets a good chunk of shots, but needs to fight for long rebounds. |
18 | Andrew Wiggins | MIN | 3 | Wiggins remains an involved scorer in the 'Wolves lineup and it's hard predicting which wing player will be more involved. Wiggins stays at the arc and elbow and Jimmy Butler attacks the lane. |
19 | Nicolas Batum | CHA | 4 | Still dealing with Elbow pain and may need to miss time this week because it's clearly impacting his on-court performance. The Hornets need to consider shutting him down again, |
20 | Jeremy Lamb | CHA | 4 | Dealing with a Shin injury and may have to a sit for a game to start the week, but if he's active the full week he'll produce because of other Hornets players being out. |
Small Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | LeBron James | CLE | 4 | James keeps the top spot with the full slate and Kevin Love isn't 100 percent, so if it is possible for James to get even more usage, this is the week for it. |
2 | Paul George | OKC | 4 | George is still dealing with a Calf injury, but there's still a chance he can play his full slate of games. If not, he'd likely miss just one game this week. |
3 | Otto Porter Jr. | WSH | 4 | Porter is about to be shifted down the priority scoring list with John Wall coming back, but plays incredible defense and will grab boards and steals and will see more open shots. |
4 | DeMarre Carroll | BKN | 4 | Carroll has seen a lot of success from open shots from the elbow and with the Nets players recovering and no more Trevor Booker, he'll grab more rebounds in the paint and set up more in the post. |
5 | Jimmy Butler | MIN | 3 | Butler continues to be an all-around producer, but it continues to be tough predicting high-scoring games for Butler. He'll never lose out on playing time and he always looks to attack the rim. |
6 | Trevor Ariza | HOU | 4 | Ariza will continue playing excellent perimeter defense and will always be a help with steals and three-pointers as he continues to be the ultimate bailout option for the Guards. |
7 | Danilo Gallinari | LAC | 4 | Gallinari is back and will be the Clippers 1A scoring option with Lou Williams because DeAndre Jordan is very limited offensively. Expect more shooting from Gallo and long rebounding. |
8 | Caris LeVert | BKN | 4 | LeVert has stepped up this season and has remained healthy and because he can play mutiple positions, his playing time is safe. He drives with force and gets a good amount of open shots. |
9 | Kelly Oubre Jr. | WSH | 4 | Oubre will continue being a top shooting option with the Wizards second unit and will have less to worry about when it comes to ball handling with John Wall coming back. His reserve minutes are safe. |
10 | Kevin Durant | GSW | 2 | Durant is an all-around TOP producer, but moves down the rankings with the short slate this week. Durant's usage will be even higher in his 2 games with Stephen Curry still out. |
11 | Will Barton | DEN | 3 | Barton has been awesome off the bench for the Nuggets and is a primary scoring weapon with the second unit and because the Nuggets frontcourt is hurting, he gets even more usage & he'll grab boards. |
12 | Harrison Barnes | DAL | 3 | Barnes continues to play strong defense on the wing and in the post and we can always expect rebounding , steals and he'll be shooting the ball more with Dennis Smith Jr. hurting. |
13 | TJ Warren | PHX | 3 | Meet the Suns top scoring and shooting weapon. Warren has been surprisingly productive on the defensive end besides scoring and three-point shooting, he'll grab rebounds and steals. |
14 | Joe Ingles | UT | 3 | Ingles benefits from Rodney Hood being out despite the fact that he normally hangs out at the arc the entire time on offense. Ingles continues to read through screens well on defense. |
15 | Taurean Prince | ATL | 3 | Prince will need to continue to attack the paint with most of the Hawks big men out. He often calls for the ball at the elbow and then immediately looks to draw contact. Usage stays really high. |
16 | Rudy Gay | SAS | 3 | Gay will still have a role in the Spurs offense with Kawhi Leonard returning because Kyle Anderson and Danny Green are hurt and he'll continue to score and rebound in the post. He'll shoot three's too. |
17 | Denzel Valentine | CHI | 3 | Valentine continues to play a big role bailing out the Bulls Guards and Forwards when doubled. He mainly shoots from the arc, but will look to step inside the key to grab long boards. He'll help w/ steals. |
18 | Wesley Matthews | DAL | 3 | Matthews continues to be a double digit scorer in this very confusing Mavs offense and he can shoot from the outside. He often causes match up problems for the opposition and his PT is safe. |
19 | Kawhi Leonard | SAS | 3 | The long awaited return of Leonard SHOULD happen this week. You never know with the Spurs, but he's been in the final stages of rehab and Tuesday is the target date of return. |
20 | Evan Fournier | ORL | 3 | Dealing with an Ankle injury and his status is uncertain for the week, but will likely need to miss time. |
Power Forwards
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | Giannis Antetokounmpo | MIL | 3 | Did you see the video of The Greek Freak getting by all 5 Jazz defenders the other night? The Jazz are one of the best defenses in the league and on one play he schooled them all. Enough said. |
2 | Anthony Davis | NO | 3 | Davis is fully healthy and we should expect full production from him this week when it comes to scoring, rebounding and blocking shots. |
3 | Carmelo Anthony | OKC | 4 | Anthony will see more shots and production if George is out. If George is in, he see's less defensive pressure as Anthony continues to mainly shoot from the elbow and outside to produce. |
4 | Tobias Harris | DET | 4 | Harris continues to be a priority scorer for the Pistons and he's been getting it done inside and outside. He see's a lot of open jumpers from long distance and fights hard for rebounds. |
5 | LaMarcus Aldridge | SAS | 3 | Aldridge's usage will likely take a bit of a hit when Kawhi Leonard is up to speed, but at least for this week, he will still be relied on to lead the offense and he's been an excellent scorer and rebounder. |
6 | Kristaps Porzingis | NY | 3 | Porzingis continues to be the primary scoring weapon for the Knicks and will need to handle more of the offense with Tim Hardaway Jr. out. His Ankle looks to be just about 100 percent recovered. |
7 | Jayson Tatum | BOS | 4 | Tatum has shown how great of a shooter he's been. He's been one of the top three-point shooters in the league and has seen success attacking the lane as well. He'll grab short and long boards. |
8 | Al-Farouq Aminu | POR | 4 | Aminu is back to full strength and will be needed more inside with Jusuf Nurkic hurting and he'll get time to slash with the ball and create in the lane. Usage goes up and we should expect more scoring. |
9 | James Johnson | MIA | 4 | Johnson will continue to be the Heat's primary post player with Whiteside still out and he's a good attacker and has a few spin moves to get inside. He draws a lot of contact and will grab a lot of boards. |
10 | Rondae Hollis-Jefferson | BKN | 4 | RHJ is fully healthy and will be needed as Jahlil Okafor gets used to the Nets offense and there's a chance Okafor completely flops. Expect RHJ to play more minutes and to get more plays called for him. |
11 | Serge Ibaka | TOR | 4 | Ibaka will continue blocking shots and he'll grab long rebounds, but he still doesn't spend enough time in the lane. He takes more shots outside the paint than inside. WHY?! |
12 | Ryan Anderson | HOU | 4 | Anderson will score mainly from the outside as hell be used mainly to draw out bigger defenders from the paint. Anderson does a good job of moving to the elbow to grab long rebounds. |
13 | Ben Simmons | PHI | 2 | Simmons would absolutely be higher on these rankings as he continues to score and rebound at a high level, but he has the short slate this week. Even with a poor shot, he's still very productive overall. |
14 | Lauri Markkanen | CHI | 3 | Markkanen continues to be the top scoring weapon for the Bulls and scores both inside and outside and fights for boards on the defensive end. He hustles and will block shots in the post. |
15 | Zach Randolph | SAC | 3 | Randolph continues producing and taking advantage of the Kings lack of skilled frontcourt players and with Willie Cauley-Stein in and out of the lineup, he'll be relied on inside more. |
16 | Thaddeus Young | IND | 3 | Young continues to attack the lane with success and knows that jump shooting is not his strong suit. Young will continue grabbing rebounds and he has quick hands and will grab steals on the perimeter. |
17 | Taj Gibson | MIN | 3 | Gibson is a good volume option for fantasy because he doesn't need a ton of minutes to produce points and rebounds. His strong post defense gives him a ton of security in the rotation. |
18 | Derrick Favors | UT | 3 | Favors can relax a bit with Gobert back and should see less defensive pressure in the post and he frequently looks to draw contact when creating in the post. Scoring will come easier and he'll grab boards. |
19 | Domantas Sabonis | IND | 3 | Sabonis is a fighter in the lane no matter where he places himself. He'll bang with the big boys and grab boards right inside. His aggresivness has improved and he can hit long-range jumpers. |
20 | Aaron Gordon | ORL | 3 | He suffered a Concussion on Friday and is currently in the league's Concussion protocol and his status for the week is very uncertain. |
Centers
RANK | NAME | Team | # Games | Analysis |
1 | DeMarcus Cousins | NO | 3 | The toughest decision of the week was Drummond vs. Cousins because of how good Drummond has been especially on the glass, but at the end of the day, Cousins continues giving all-around production. |
2 | Andre Drummond | DET | 4 | Drummond has been one of the best rebounders in the league and he doesn't even need to box out to grab boards. He'll score from right under the basket and also help with blocks and steals. |
3 | Marc Gasol | MEM | 4 | Gasol will continue being the Grizzlies top option with Mike Conley still out, but with the emergence of Tyreke Evans, he'll see less pressure and can set up in the lane more and grab more boards. |
4 | Kevin Love | CLE | 4 | Dealing with a minor Hip injury and his status for the week is uncertain at this point but he may need to miss a game or two of his full slate. |
5 | Al Horford | BOS | 4 | Horford continues producing both inside and outside and he continues to show that he's focusing more on defense to keep teams out of the paint and he's been a very reliable rebounder. |
6 | Clint Capela | HOU | 4 | Capela continues to be the Rockets main inside player and despite the Rockets having many shooters, he still gets a good amount of plays called for him in the paint and he grabs a lot of boards. |
7 | DeAndre Jordan | LAC | 4 | Jordan is always suspect on offense because he can't create with the ball, but he feasts off of second-chance scoring opportunities and he can always be relied on for boards and blocks. |
8 | Dwight Howard | CHA | 4 | Howard's usage will be higher with Batum, Lamb and Zeller hurt. More plays are being called for Howard inside and he's had some monster scoring and rebounding games this season. Hornets are a good fit. |
9 | Karl-Anthony Towns | MIN | 3 | Towns moves down because of the lack of full slate and he's still an all-around stat producer, but has definitely seen the ball taken out of his hands a bit more this season. |
10 | Nikola Vucevic | ORL | 3 | Vucevic becomes the Magic's top scoring weapon with Fournier and Gordon hurt and his usage will be at an all-time high as the Magic's main inside player. Expect a ton of scoring and rebounding. |
11 | Steven Adams | OKC | 4 | Adams continues to be a gritty player and the top big-man in OKC. Adams will continue to get fed from Westbrook as the primary inside weapon and he's always reliable for boards and steals. |

15 | Enes Kanter | NY | 3 | Kanter is the Knicks primary inside scoring weapon and will see more time with the ball with Tim Hardaway Jr. out. He's seen a ton of success on the glass and hasn't been hanging at the arc as much. |
16 | Jonas Valanciunas | TOR | 4 | Valanciunas is a box of chocolates. He's got a mid-range jumper that he hasn't used as much this season and has seen minutes fluctuate. Double-digit games are harder to come by, but still grabs boards. |
17 | Kelly Olynyk | MIA | 4 | Olynyk has taken full advantage of Whiteside being out and has been hitting shots from inside and outside and has been running the floor well. He's been grabbing over five boards a game. |
18 | Pau Gasol | SAS | 3 | Gasol is coming off a game of rest and his playing time may see a small hit with Leonard coming back, but has an established role in the post and will still score and grab boards consistently. |
19 | Dirk Nowitzki | DAL | 3 | Nowitzki has been relegated to the post, but he does a nice job moving back out to the arc when the ball is pushed inside because the opposition defense collapses and he see's open three's. |
20 | Joel Embiid | PHI | 2 | Dealing with Back tightness, but expects to play Tuesday. Consider him day to day and as we all know the Sixers won't hesitate to keep Embiid out if he's not 100 percent. |
