KBO DFS Playbook - June 21

On a very slippery slate to predict, Jokisch looks to bounce back from a loss. However, when viewing his price note he's only recorded seven strikeouts so far in June with a 2.95 ERA and a 1-2 record. Luckily, Jokisch will be at home where he owns a 0.95 ERA over 19 innings and gets a Wyverns lineup where he needs to navigate around two hitters. Jokisch should net the quality start bonus and enters this game a -177 favorite.
SP	Hyun Jong Yang	KIA	J. Baek (L)	$9,700	15.22
Not in love going after a surging Samsung offense but Yang's won five of his last six decisions and coming off an outing with double digit strikeouts. His 2.50 ERA through 18 innings this month with an 18:5 K:BB should help limit the runs against the Lions. Plus, Kia's a -182 favorite in a game with a nine run total.
SP	Min Ho Lee	LG	R. Alcantara	$7,200	14.54
Purely a GPP flier here but at the price, Lee could be a worthy speculative dart. Lee's facing a Doosan offense with 26 runs in two games against LG, but his 1.16 ERA, 3.24 FIP and 0.90 WHIP could do well enough to keep Lee in line for a win. He holds LHH to a .200 average so far and RHH to a .173 mark so if he can log innings and keep traffic off the bases, Lee may pay off at his price.
SP	Raul Alcantara	DOO	M. Lee (R)	$8,300	16.25
On the other side of this contest, Alcantara owns a 6-1 record in the KBO with a 4.13 ERA, almost identical 4.12 FIP and 1.38 WHIP. Somehow his ERA's higher in June (4.50) with a lower batting average allowed (.243) and a tidy 19:5 K:BB in innings spanning three starts. Since he's more of an accumulator, Alcantara could be more of a cash play but if he garners the win it could be benficial.
SP	Jin Ho Kim	NCD	M. Kim (R)	$4,000	9.55
Talk about your most risky play at SP, Kim's at minimum pricing for a starter at $4K and only needs to reach double digits to provide two times value compared to investment. Focusing on Hanwha's struggles at the plate, Kim just needs five innings with 3-to-5 strikeouts to pay off and pair with Jokisch to load up on bats in GPP's.

First, be sure Han's in the lineup but he owns the splits advantage hitting .358 against LHP this year versus a pitcher yielding a .370 average to right handed bats including three home runs. It's not rocket science here.

RBI machine Yoo received Saturday off and should be back on Sunday to face Alcantara. Feelling like LG's due for a win on ESPN and Yoo's batting .407 this month with 11 runs, two home runs and 19 RBI in 17 contests.
C	Dong Won Park	KIW	R. Pinto (R)	$5,400	8.37
Although Park's cooled off a bit, he's also playing through knee issues. Jokisch prefers pitching to him so Park should gut this out. Plus, Park possesses the splits advantage with a .358 average against RHP with five home runs in 81 at-bats this season and Pinto's road ERA of 6.60 makes Kiwoom bats alluring.
1B/OF	Baek Ho Kang	KTW	K. Noh (R)	$6,000	11.6
No better time to take a chance on a power hitter than when he's coming off a hitless game disappointing the DFS community. Doubling down on Kang for a home run on Sunday and he's hit seven of his eight tank shots versus RHP. Noh carries a 5.31 ERA into this game allowing LHH a .306 average and he's served up five home runs in 18 innings this month.
1B/OF	Jamie Romak	SK	E. Jokisch (L)	$4,600	8.3
Yes, Jokish leads the pitching options but it's by default on the slate. Romak could be a sneaky one off coming off a home run on Saturday and he's hit five in June over 52 at-bats with a .308 average and 16 RBI in 17 games this month.
1B/OF	Jin Sung Kang	NCD	M. W. Kim (R)	$5,000	11
Same deal for Jin Sung Kang who did not reward his investors on Saturday but could be in a prime rebound spot on Sunday. Kang's hitting .451 versus RHP wiht 10 doubles, four home runs and 21 RBI in 71 at-bats against them and Kim's yielded four home runs with a 9.72 ERA in 8.1 innings this month.

2B	Hoon Jung	LOT	M. S. Kim (R)	$3,800	9.92
Jung's hidden at second base on DK but could be leading off against a pitcher with a 7.97 ERA and 2.02 WHIP this year. Plus, Jung racked up three hits on Saturday, batting .390 against RHP with four doubles, one home run and eight RBI in only 41 at-bats to this point. A sneaky good play at this price and position.
2B	Sang Su Kim	SAM	H. Yang (L)	$4,800	7.7
If going against the grain, Kim's heating up with a .365 average in June with 14 runs and four steals in 17 contests. He's also registered a .444 average against southpaws hitting atop the Lions lineup.
2B/SS	Hye Sung Kim	KIW	R. Pinto (R)	$2,700	7.13
Low priced DFS darling Kim only owns a .274 average versus RHP but with nine extra-base hits (three doubles, two triples, four home runs) and 15 RBI in 84 at-bats. If Kiwoom pops, Kim should be in the mix with 14 runs and 13 RBI this month alone over 16 games for the Heroes.
2B/SS	Dixon Machado	LOT	M. S. Kim (R)	$4,500	7.72
On a tear but not hitting for power of late. Machado's appeared in 17 games in June with 10 runs, 10 RBI, three stolen bases and a .364 average in them. All four of his home runs occurred against RHP and he's due adding to his allure.
3B/OF	Tyler Saladino	SAM	H. Yang (L)	$5,400	8.5
Chalk this up to the position, but 3B remains a dearth of production. Saladino's one of the bright spots and can garner points with extra-base hits, RBI or steals. He does not hit LHP great but could produce against the bullpen or walk and steal a bag. Saladino's recorded eight of his 16 hits this month via extra-bases (five doubles, three home runs) with 14 runs, 13 RBI and five steals in 17 games hitting .320 in the process.
3B/SS	Jeong Choi	SK	E. Jokisch (L)	$5,000	8.31
See Saladino above and pick your poison. Choi's surged of late hitting four home runs in 16 games this month with more walks (eight) than strikeouts (seven). Choi fares better against RHP so he may need the bullpen to enter to produce in this match-up.
OF	Jung Hoo Lee	KIW	R. Pinto (R)	$4,900	10.51
Slashing .378/.444/.641 this year in 41 games and already set a career high in home runs. He racked up three more hits on Saturday including his seventh home run driving in four and gets the splits juice hitting .368 against RHP with 12 walks. Pinto serves up a .326 average to LHH walking them 15 times compared to 12 strikeouts this year. Advantage, Lee.
OF	Mel Rojas Jr.	KTW	K. Noh (R)	$5,600	11.9
Rojas Jr. continues to move up the ranks in every hitting category. He's launched seven home runs with 18 RBI in only 17 games this month and hitting .415/.455/.805 his last 10 games. Read about Noh's struggles above with LHH and Rojas Jr. could be a steal at this price on Sunday.
OF	Ah Seop Son	LOT	M. S. Kim (R)	$4,000	9.2
Son's recorded multiple hits in four straight contests, batting .411 in June and .412 versus RHP with 10 doubles and two home runs driving in 15 this year. All signs point to Son showing out on Sunday.
OF	Myung Gi Lee	NCD	M. W. Kim (R)	$3,600	7.53
Looking for salary relief in the outfield? The Dinos Lee could be your guy. He's hit safely in nine of his last 10 games with a robust .514/.581/.622 slash in them scoring seven runs, driving in six and stealing two bags in them.
OF	Ho Ryung Kim	KIA	J. Baek (L)	$3,700	10.06
Getting leadoff hitters with power helps in DFS since every at-bats matters. Kim's batting .333 in only six at-bats against LHP but with a double and a triple among his hits. An extra-base machine with power, Kim's scored 17 runs 16 games played this year with two steals and eight extra-base hits in them.
OF	Sung Bum Na	NCD	M. W. Kim (R)	$6,400	11.05
There's no bargain on the price, but Na could be hitting cleanup in a game with the highest total and facing a pitcher giving up a .333 average to LHH and toting a 9.72 ERA in 8.1 innings in two starts this month.

Kim of Hanwha owns a 9.72 ERA over 8.1 innings in June with two losses and coughed up four home runs, which NC leads the KBO in the category with 58 already this season. Key on the left-handed bats but not scared to use Kang either.
