SP | Drew Rucinski | NCD | A. Brooks (R) | $9,800 |
Momentum's usually defined as the next day's starting pitcher and the Dinos send their import "ace" Rucinski to the mound in Kia. Rucinski's 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA, 3.71 FIP and 1.13 WHIP this season with 41 strikeouts against 11 walks in 44.1 innings. Yes, he needs to contend with Preston Tucker but his ability to depress hard contact with strikeout upside makes him a worth play in this slate. NC enters Tuesday's game as -162 favorites on the road.
SP | Chan Heong Jung | LG | M. Jang (R) | $6,500 |
Former reliever Jung's coming off a career high 11 strikeouts against Samsung and gets the contact challenged Hanwha Eagles on Tuesday. Jung's 2-1 record comes with a 3.52 ERA, 3.88 FIP and 1.22 WHIP. Making him a worthy GPP target, Jung owns a 20.6 K-BB% through 23 innings this season along with LG being a -230 favorite on the road.
SP | Eric Jokisch | KIW | K. Noh | $9,700 |
If looking to zig if others flock to Rucinski, Jokisch gets a right-handed heavy Lotte lineup but limits RHH to a .229 average this year with 23 strikeouts against six walks. Jokisch does not rack up as many strikeouts as Rucinski but Kiwoom's a whopping -295 favorite at home against the Giants. If he limits traffic on the bases, Jokisch should emerge from this outing with his sixth win keeping his WHIP below one for the season.
SP | Raul Alcantara | DOO | J. Bark (L) | $7,900 |
It's not always pretty but Alcantara's 6-1 with a 4.07 ERA, 4.31 FIP and 1.38 WHIP over 42 innings with 35 strikeouts. He fired a strong outing in NC en route to his sixth win giving up six hits and only one earned run on the road. He faced Samsung once already this year notching a win and quality start allowing three runs in six innings. |

Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
C | Kang Nam Yoo | LG | M. Jang (R) | $4,100 |
Yoo continues to rake but not post extra-base hits. However, he's drove in 12 runs his last 10 games with a .406/.457/.594 slash line and gets Jang who yields a .407 average to RHH with LG a heavy favorite to win. Also, Yoo's moved up to fifth in the lineup recently and if Ramos stays on the shelf, could be hitting in the heart of the order once again.
C | Dong Won Park | KIW | K. Noh (R) | $5,100 |
Park's been quiet of late but heads home where he hits .357 in 14 games with four home runs and 17 RBI. He's also a reverse splits guy with a .378 average against right-handed pitchers.
1B/2B | José Miguel Fernández | DOO | J. Baek (L) | $6,300 |
In the midst of a six-game hit streak during which Fernandez owns a .346 average (9-for-26) with a double, two home runs and five RBI in it. He gets a volatile southpaw on the mound and hitting .419 against lefties this year.
1B/OF | Jamie Romak | SK | M. Kim (R) | $5,100 |
My GPP dart of the night. Romak enters this game in the midst of a slump going one for his last 12. But, he's an extra-base hit machine waiting to happen. SK faces Kim who gives up a .432 average to right-handed batters and carries a 16.20 ERA on the road. Romak goes yard on Tuesday.
1B/OF | Ja Wook Koo | SAM | H. So (R) | $4,700 |
Fresh off the injured list, Koo's hit safely in all six games since his return going 10-for-24 (.417) with four runs, three doubles, two home runs and six RBI.
1B/OF | Baek Ho Kang | KTW | R. Pinto (R) | $5,700 |
Most will be on the SK side of this match-up but Kang's heating up since coming back from his wrist injury. He's on a modest four game hit streak and homered in consecutive games over the weekend while hitting six of his seven home runs versus RHP. Pinto's favored to win but also boasts a 1.65 WHIP and a .321 average to LHH walking more (13) than he's struck out (12).
Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
1B/2B | Keon Chang Seo | KIW | K. Noh (R) | $3,900 |
Hit machine Seo remains atop the Heroes lineup and racks up points without needing power. Seo's recorded back-to-back two hits games wiht a double, RBI and stolen base in them. He hits .333 at home and his .415 on-base percentage makes him a worthy target on Tuesday since he racks up hits, runs and steals with upside for more.
1B/2B | Joo Hwan Choi | DOO | J. Baek (L) | $2,500 |
Boom or bust candidate Choi hit third over the weekend and actually hits for a better average versus LHP this year with a .300 average, three doubles, one home runs and six walks against three strikeouts in 20 at-bats. At his price, Choi could be a slate changer.
2B/SS | Hye Sung Kim | KIW | K. Noh (R) | $2,600 |
Meet my favorite play on this slate. Kim not only features multi-positional eligibility, he's on a tear hitting .389 (7-for-18) his last four games with seven runs, a double, two triples, two home runs and 11 RBI. As a sweetener, Kim owns a robust .567 slugging percentage against right-handed pitchers.
SS | Hak Ju Lee | SAM | R. Alcantara (R) | $3,600 |
If looking to go against the grain with a Samsung mini-stack, Lee went 4-for-4 on Sunday including his fourth home run racking up 29 DK points. Over his last 10 games, Lee's slashing .320/.393/.680 with three home runs in his last seven contests.
3B/SS | Jeong Choi | SK | M. Kim (R) | $4,700 |
On the precipice of history, Choi needs one home run to move into a tie for third all time in the KBO in career home runs. He lauched two on Sunday and gets a pinata on the mound in Kim who brings a 9.98 ERA into this match-up. Calling it here, Choi makes history with a dong on Tuesday. He's also improved his play of late with a .344 average and .987 OPS over his last 10 games along with four multiple hit games in them.
3B/OF | Tyler Saladino | SAM | R. Alcantara (R) | $4,300 |
Surging in June, Saladino's hitting .333/.511/.636 over 12 games with nine runs, four doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, four stolen bases and 10 walks versus nine strikeouts. Improved plate discipline's fueled his rebound along with assimilating to the KBO for Samsung.
OF | Kun Woo Park | DOO | J. Baek (L) | $3,600 |
Getting a leadoff hitter on a strong offense makes sense when trying to roster the power bats listed above. Park's notched multiple hits in his last four contests and batting .475/.533/.750 his last 10 games with 12 runs, five doubles, two home runs, five RBI and stolen two bases. Yum.
OF | Jung Hoo Lee | KIW | K. Noh (R) | $5,300 |
Noh allows LHH a .329 average with eight extra-base hits so far this year. Lee's owns one of the best left-handed swings in the KBO and carries a .362/.427/.609 slash line through 157 plate appearances this season and one home run away from setting a career best. He accomplishes this Tuesday morning.
OF | Mel Rojas Jr. | KTW | R. Pinto (R) | $5,200 |
It feels like others get more hype but Rojas Jr. ranks first in the KBO in RBI (36), second in home runs (12) and third in average (.381). He's hit three home runs his last four games and six to this point in June with a .750 slugging percentage and impressive .417 isolated power. Pinto gives up hits to LHH and Rojas Jr. should be worth the reduced price tag due to his recent production.
OF | Myung Gi Lee | NCD | A. Brooks (R) | $3,000 |
If needing to balance a roster with a solid floor guy, Lee's in the midst of an 11-game hit streak with six multi-hit games among them. He bats .366 against right-handed pitchers and Brooks yields a .350 average to left-handed batters. Since Lee's a contact hitter, he should give Brooks fits even if a pticher's duel breaks out in Kia. |
Stacks
Team Stacks | |||||
1 | KIW | Heroes | Opp. Pitcher | Kyung Eun Noh
Stack | Keon Chang Seo | Jung Hoo Lee | Dong Won Park | Hye Sung Kim
All aboard the Kiwoom stack. Noh allows LHH a .329 average with nine extra-base hits including three home runs this month over 12 innings of work. Kiwoom should score plenty in this match-up and also fare well against the Lotte bullpen.
2 | DOO | Bears | Opp. Pitcher | Jung Hyun Baek
Mini-Stack | Kun Woo Park | Joo Hwan Choi | JM Fernandez
Not going to an overload of Doosan, but keying on these three hitters as alluded to in the playbook. Baek gives up a .341 average to LHH and .340 to RHH making any Doosan possible to produce especially if Baek struggles again on the road. |
