Tyler Glasnow, Tampa Bay ($10K on DK, $11K on FD)
With weather appearing a bit volatile in tonight's slate, targeting a strikeout pitcher in a dome makes sense. Glasnow brings a 4-2 record with a 2.69 ERA, 106:25 K:BB, and 0.92 WHIP into his match-up with Washington. Representing one of the biggest favorites (-200) on the board makes him a worthy target. He's recorded seven or more innings five times this year among his 12 starts with a robust 35.6 strikeout percentage. Although the Nationals own the fourth-lowest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this year, definitely not fading the talented Rays ace tonight.
Shane Bieber, Cleveland ($10.3K on DK, $11.5K on FD)
No one has struck out as many hitters (117) on this slate as Bieber. He's 6-3 with a 3.08 ERA, 2.95 SIERA, and 1.19 WHIP. Focus on his 35.6 strikeout percentage facing a sporadic Cardinals offense on the road with the benefit of facing the pitcher in a National League park. Seven or more innings with eight-plus strikeouts represent the potential floor sparking some Bieber fever.
Mid Tier
Walker Buehler, Los Angeles Dodgers ($9.8K on DK, $10.8K on FD)
Pitching for one of the best teams in baseball should translate into more wins, but Buehler's 4-0 through his first 11 starts despite a 2.82 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. Tonight he faces the Pirates, who own a cumulative .118 isolated power against right-handed pitching with a .289 weighted on-base average (wOBA). If Buehler can rack up enough swinging strikes he could be in line for six-plus innings with 7-to-9 strikeouts and a win bonus as a -180 favorite this evening.
Chris Bassitt, Oakland ($8.8K on DK, $9.7K on FD)
Note the discount on Draft Kings and use Bassitt as an SP2 with upside facing the Diamondbacks at home. Arizona's lost 17 consecutive road games along with 19 of its last 21 games overall and 28 of the last 33 played. Add this to Bassitt's recent surge with a 5-0 record in his last 10 starts with a 3.16 ERA and .204 batting average against for a tantalizing target at an enticing price point.
Pablo Lopez, Miami ($8.7K on DK, $9.6K on FD)
Perhaps the pick of the day getting an extra day off missing Boston in Fenway and facing the Rockies at home in a smash spot. Away from Coors Field, Colorado boasts a 27 strikeout percentage as a team with a .092 isolated power and .252 wOBA. Lopez has held opponents to two earned runs or less in 10 of his 12 starts (five with zero earned runs against) and owns a 0.98 ERA through six starts in Miami over 36.2 innings. He's yet to garner a win at home this season, until tonight.
Bargain Arm
Matthew Boyd, Detroit ($6.5K on DK, $7.4K on FD)
Prefer him more for tournament play and especially as a second pitcher on Draft Kings if loading up with bats in your build. Boyd's season ERA of 3.90 covers up his 37.2 innings at home with a 2.87 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and a 31:9 K:BB in them. Plus, Seattle brings the fifth-highest strikeout rate versus southpaws (28.1 percent) with a .164 isolated power and .280 to the Motor City setting up Boyd for sneaky upside this evening.
