Yoán Moncada , Chicago White Sox

In the midst of a seven-game hit streak during which he's hitting .478/.556/.783 with a double, two home runs and four RBI. Moncada's reached base safely in 26 of his last 27 contests hitting .341 (30-for-88) in them with 25 walks and launched all five home runs at Guaranteed Rate Field. He plays there all weekend against the Tigers. 

Austin Meadows , Tampa Bay

Crushed four home runs his last six games driving in 11 and even stole a base with a .429/.556/.1.095 slash line. Meadows owns a .667 isolated power in this stretch with more walks (six) than strikeouts (four) producing four barrels of 17 batted ball events and a robust 58.8 hard hit percentage. Look for his power surge continuing with a trip to Texas on tap this weekend. 

Miguel Andújar , New York Yankees

Depending on league requirements, Andujar may own outfield eligibility logging 15 games there this season. He's one of the only hot bats on his team right now, insulating his playing time by hitting three home runs in his last 24 plate appearances spanning seven games. Of his 16 batted ball events generated within this sample, he's racked up three barrels (18.8 percent) and nine hard hits (56.3 percent). Hosting the Red Sox this weekend, he should be affixed in the lineup and deserves to move up if he keeps producing power. 

Who's Not

Yermín Mercedes, Chicago White Sox

Perhaps the Tigers in town awakens his slumbering bat, but he's hitless his last 25 plate appearances scoring two runs while driving in one. With a paltry .000/.105/.000 slash line his last seven games fueling his minuscule .073 weighted on-base average (wOBA) and a negative 53 weighted runs created plus (wRC+) metric, keep tabs on his slump and maybe even bench him if possible until he shows signs of life. 

Miguel Sanó , Minnesota

Always a streaky hitter, Sano's in the nadir of his numbers of late with no hits his last 24 plate appearances toting a 50 percent strikeout rate. Due to injuries he keeps accruing playing time for the Twins but hopefully a better option resides on your roster right now. 

Nate Lowe , Texas

Not even a trip to Coors Field could spark the struggling first baseman from Texas. His last six games results in a .063/.286/.063 slash line with one run and a 42.9 strikeout percentage. Remember when he led the American League in RBI in April? Me too. It's a difficult game and he needs to make some adjustments at the dish. 

Migration to the Mean

Charlie Blackmon , Colorado

Turning the corner of late with a .429/.520/.810 slash line his last 25 plate appearances with a home run and six RBI, more strong results may lie in the offing for the veteran outfielder in Coors: 

.262 batting average versus a .310 expected batting average (xBA) - plus 48 points

.407 slugging percentage versus a .496 expected slugging (xSLG) - plus 89 points

.341 wOBA versus a .390 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) - plus 49 points

Juan Soto , Washington

He's launched two home runs his last seven games with eight walks against six strikeouts and a 1.024 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS). And:

.281 batting average versus a .322 xBA - plus 41 points

.432 slugging percentage versus a .573 xSLG - plus 141 points

.366 wOBA versus a .434 xwOBA - plus 68 points

A power surge may happen during a visit to Philadelphia this weekend. 

Avisaíl García , Milwaukee

He's produced power with three home runs the last six games but with a .200 average. Focus on the .500 isolated power and expected numbers helping boost his average in the days ahead: 

.246 batting average versus a .272 xBA - plus 26 points

.469 slugging percentage versus a .526 xSLG - plus 57 points

.337 wOBA versus a .367 xwOBA - plus 30 points
