THESE ARE EXAMPLE LINEUPS AND ARE NOT MEANT TO BE JUST PLUGGED AND PLAYED.  THEY ARE MEANT TO HELP YOU CONSTRUCT YOUR OWN LINEUPS.

Besides the three hour delay to start the tournament, it’s been a pretty fun first few days at Augusta National.  We still have a lot of players to finish their second rounds before we get the cut.  The cut line will most likely be even par, I don’t see it changing.  You need to know that before setting those weekend and showdown lineups.

The conditions were ideal throughout the first two days but they are calling for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s which will dry the course.  That will make the course more difficult than it has been played especially on the greens.

We’ve got a lot of storylines to watch out for heading into the weekend.  Dustin Johnson has been close so many times at Augusta and is in position to be there in the end on Sunday.  Justin Thomas will go through stretches where he’s just on fire and then cool off and have to ramp it back up again.  I expected Justin Rose to bounce back after last year’s first missed cut at the Masters and he did, sits just two shots back.  You’ve got such a great mix of young talented players looking to make a name for themselves and veterans who are looking for that first major or first Masters.

When looking at the weekend at Augusta, it’s a totally different feel than a regular tournament.  Saturday is traditionally moving day, that’s where all these players fight for their positioning heading into Sunday.  The winner on Sunday is typically the guy who doesn’t fall back and bow down to the pressure of the moment.  That’s why Tiger won so many times, because he never fell back and let the pack catch him.  I’m going to target guys who have been there and know how to play on the weekend of a major championship.
