We knew that this event would be a shoot-out and it has lived up to the hype.  We will see which of these players sitting at 10 under or better will hold up over the weekend.  I fully expect these low scores to keep rolling in.  My guess is that when the dust settles, Patrick Cantlay will do what he does every time he plays this event, wins or finishes second.  We saw Bryson DeChambeau show he had no rust after his U.S. Open win but came back down to earth a bit on Friday.  He will definitely make his presence known over the weekend.  I’m glad to see Harold Varner in the Top 10 and he was my second choice for one and done this weekend.  Stewart Cink just continues to baffle me at his age to continue to compete.  He’s just doing it the old fashioned way, fairways and greens and great putting.  I have a gut feeling about Wyndham Clark making a charge over the weekend but we will see.
