What an amazing weekend in Scotland!  We saw two completely different courses on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday was a shootout amongst the best players in the world including Tiger Woods.  Sunday was a survival of the fittest and the hottest player in the world, Francesco Molinari came out on top.  People were wary of him coming off such a busy schedule but he proved to be mentally and physically tough enough to take down the Open Championship.  I hope you took advantage of my cash lineup and my Sunday showdown lineup on DraftKings as they were both big winners. Personally, I took down a media invite only tournament hosted by DraftKings for the Sunday Showdown game for the Open Championship. I believed in Tiger and Molinari on Sunday and they came through as I was the only one that had both of them in my lineup.

The RBC Canadian Open has called a lot courses home over the years.  Glen Abbey has played host in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2009, 2008, 2004 and now 2018.  It measures out to 7,253 yards and is listed as a Par 72.  The scores have been all over the place at this event but the one common trend for most all of the success players, scoring on the Par 5’s.  This is not a long track which means that the long hitters do not have a sizable advantage.  Total driving is vital because length and accuracy are equally important on this course.  This place is not too different from Jack Nicklaus’ other track Muirfield Village.

The weather is currently calling for showers in the afternoon on Thursday.  That means you’ll want to favor players going on Thursday morning and Friday afternoon.  This is the weather report as of Monday night when I’m putting this article together. Please keep your eye on weather reports as we get closer to Thursday. Keep that in mind whenever I post these articles, they are usually written on Tuesday evening and posted on Wednesday morning.  The rest of the weekend looks great in Oakville, Ontario.

Do you realize that the PGA Championship is just TWO weeks away?  It seems like it takes forever for the Masters to roll around and then there’s this long gap before the U.S. Open but then you get the Open and PGA just weeks apart.  This will all change next season. You will see the Players Championship move to March, the Masters in April, the PGA Championship in May, the U.S. Open in June, the Open Championship in July and the Tour Championship in August.

GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE PLAYBOOK …
