And then there were 99!  The FedEx Cup rolls on to the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston.  The defending champion Rickie Fowler is coming off of a blown 54-hole lead at the Barclays to finish T7, three strokes behind the winner Patrick Reed.  I have chosen to finally get off the defending champion bandwagon and leave Rickie Fowler off my playbook, feel free to use him but I'm staying away.

TPC Boston is a Par 71 and measures out 7214 yards.  There are three Par 5's on this course and two of them are reachable with a driver and wedge for these pros. The third one is 600 yards but the big bombers can reach it in two.  This means that golfers have to take advantage and if they aren't coming out six under or better, you're playing from behind.

Players need to get themselves into birdie making opportunities and you do that with good Shots Gained: Tee-to-Green (SGTG) numbers.  You'll notice a trend throughout my playbook.  We want ball strikers that will target pins throughout the weekend.  I'm all over the hot golfers and great course history at TPC Boston.

A warning to players out there, the Deutsche Bank Championship begins on Friday, September 2nd and will run through Labor Day.  After 36 holes, the low 70 players including ties will make the last cut of the 2015-16 season.  There is no 54-hole/MDF cut in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.  The top 70 players in FedEx Cup points at the end of this tournament will have to race over to Crooked Stick in Indiana for the BMW Championship scheduled to start on Thursday, September 8th.

Finally, lets say hello to our spiritual guide, Paige.  She is really saddened by our performance last weekend and hopes only for good things at the Deutsche Bank.

Good luck this weekend!
