Fantasy Alarm is taking a different approach to help our subscribers build successful DFS lineups.  I will be giving you my personal core plays for this weekend's tournament.  These players listed below are my three favorite top tier, middle tier and value tier players for both DraftKings and Fanduel.  They will be at the core of all my lineups for this weekend's AT&T Byron Nelson and then I'll use my playbook to fill out the remaining spots in my lineup.

Make sure you read my full PGA DFS Playbook for the AT&T Byron Nelson before using these core plays.  You can also take a look at my Weekly Tournament Projections at any time.

We have a new venue and that always makes our job that much harder with little or no course history.  I usually lower down my bankroll for weeks like this and stay away from cash games.  That is a personal preference because I feel like when you don’t have course history, you can’t trust how these players will react to the track.  We could have all the stats in the world but you’ll never know until these guys tee it up for real.

So, know that I’m going to avoid cash games, I’m going to try all sorts of roster construction when it comes to tournaments.  I’ll be honest, I’m going to go more stars and scrubs overall this week because I’m not in love with the middle tier.  There are not a lot of names that I’m like wow that’s a great price for his talent level.  I’m going to try and fit two guys above 9K and then dip into the 7Ks and 6Ks to fill out my lineup.

Let’s say I start with Jordan Spieth and Will Zalatoris to lead my lineup.  I’m going to try to get another high 8K player in there like Si Woo Kim and then fill in the rest of my lineup in that bottom tier with guys like Kizzire, Gordon, Lee and Teater.

This new format of core plays I think is way more valuable to our subscribers because it lends more to teaching than just copy and pasting.  A set of these players will be in each one of my lineups this weekend and then a mix of players from my playbook will fill out the rest.
