If you play on FanDuel, get a second cup of coffee, or maybe another beer, depending on when you’re reading this, because the value there is ridiculous! DraftKings has some good value, too, but when I first delved into today’s slate, I found myself saying, “sheesh, FanDuel,” and “Is FanDuel serious” with a lot of player pricing. Hey, I won’t complain! I’ll just set an awesome lineup with value plays that are simply too cheap for recent and/or projected performance.

Without further ado, grab your beverage of choice and let’s head into the Value Vault for today’s main slate!

Both Sites:

Josh Harrison , 2B WAS ($2,800 FD/$3,800 DK) - Harrison is 6-for-14 with two home runs in his career off Steven Matz . Matz has been solid this year, but Harrison has hit safely in three straight contests and is hitting .393 in night games. His upside is rather limited, considering he doesn’t have substantial pop, but he’s parked a few balls against Matz in his career, so there is a chance! This is purely a BvP play.

Nico Hoerner 2B CHC ($2,500 FD/$2,800 DK) - All Hoerner has done is hit at the big league level this year! He’s hit safely in eight of his last 10 contests, including three multi-hit efforts in that span. Hoerner is hitting .467 off righties this year, and Atlanta starter Huascar Ynoa has been more susceptible to right-handers (.860 OPS) than lefties (.400 OPS). We’re chasing recent production here a bit, but if there were ever a day Hoerner would pack a punch with his hits, and not log just singles, it’s today against Ynoa (five home runs allowed in last 16 IP).

DraftKings:

Brandon Belt , 1B SFG ($2,900)- Belt is 10-for-24 with one home run and a .500 wOBA against Germán Márquez in his career. Love that! Belt hasn’t been overly dominant this year, hitting just .196 against righties, but he’s been far better at home, and Marquez is a familiar foe. While I do think Belt notches a hit or two in this outing, there’s also another avenue for points that we’ll gladly take. Belt is sporting a 15.3 percent walk rate on the year, while Marquez has a whopping 5.02 BB/9. At Belt’s price point, I love the potential for a two hit day with a walk and a couple runs and ribbies.

FanDuel:

Yermín Mercedes, DH CWS ($3,100) -- DraftKings has him priced as an elite hitter, which he’s performed like this year, whereas FanDuel has done him dirty! This year, Mercedes has a .474 wOBA and .230 ISO, and recently, he’s hit safely in four straight contests. He hasn’t homered in about a week and a half, but that could change today against Casey Mize , who has posted a 2.18 HR/9 across 20.2 innings of work. Against right-handers this year, Mercedes is hitting a cool .424 with a .455 wOBA. He’s too expensive to be a value on DraftKings, but he’s a no brainer for those that play on FanDuel.

Marcell Ozuna , OF ATL ($2,700) - Ozuna is half of the price on FanDuel that he is on DraftKings! Sure, he’s hitting just .186 on the year, but that’s largely due to an unimpressive 0-for-18 stretch to begin the year against southpaws. He gets a righty in this game, where he’s posted a .358 OBP against that variety in 2021. Oh, also, may I remind you that Ozuna is hitting .351 with two home runs in his career against Kyle Hendricks ? The Chicago righty has served up a 3.32 HR/9 mark this year and this is a prime spot for Ozuna to post a double-digit scoring day in DFS. Expect Atlanta to be a popular stack tonight, with Travis d’Arnaud, Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley all being in play.

Nick Solak , 2B TEX ($3,000) - Righties have given Alex Cobb fits this year, to the tune of a .447 wOBA and .378 batting average against. So, I’m in on the Texas righties, but mostly Nick Solak . Cobb has relied on his sinker and splitter this year, with his lone breaking offering being a curveball. Solak has been fine against these pitches, and he four bombs off right-handers this year. Solak is homering once every 13.25 at-bats versus righties) and his numbers are more impressive in home games than road games, as well as night contests versus day outings. Well, Solak gets a home game at night in this one. Yes, Cobb has been better than his 6.28 ERA suggests, but the Texas right-handers should have a field day against him in this one, beginning with Solak. Nate Lowe and Adolis García are also in play.
