Deshaun Watson:  The highly touted QB once again failed to throw for even 200 yards on Sunday, completing 21-of-33 for just 160 yards and no passing TDs.  This is the second time in four games, Watson has failed to throw for 200 and failed to complete a TD pass. Fear not for all is not lost.  First, Watson has rushed for a TD in three of his four games and remember, in most leagues, QB rushing TDs are worth 1.5 times passing TDs. Second, his upcoming schedule is mouth-watering:  Atlanta, KC and Oakland are three of the next four opponents. If you own Watson, hold. If you do not, this is a very good time to quote the above “bad” stats and try to buy low. [Final note – for those who like to look forward to these types of things, Week 16 shows Tampa on the schedule for the fantasy title game.  I know, too early but it is fun to think about.]

Corey Davis:  Corey Davis is no longer missing.  The Titans wideout re-appeared Sunday reeling in five balls for 91 yards and a TD.  That is the good news. The bad news? Where should I start. First, he was only targeted six times.  Hard to produce consistently at that limited level of usage. Second, his next two opponents play the pass very well (Buffalo and Denver).  Put Davis back on your bench but hold him for later shootouts against the likes of Tampa and KC.

David Johnson:  David Johnson failed to eclipse 40 yards rushing for the third time in a row Sunday.  Indeed, DJ has all of 91 yards rushing in his last three games combined. Yuck. However, do not be too hasty as Johnson has been a monster running routes out of the backfield.  Sunday Johnson caught 8 balls for 99 yards. Thus, despite the poor rushing performance and despite not hitting paydirt Sunday, Johnson still put up almost 22 PPR fantasy points.  I will take that every Sunday! On the year, he has 22 catches, three of which have gone for scores. With Cincy, Atlanta and the Giants next up, Johnson is a lock and load. If the Johnson owner in your PPR league is too focused on rushing yards, relieve him/her of their burden (knowing you are really stealing!)

Robert Woods Like Corey Davis , Robert Woods has been found!  Woods reeled in 13 catches for 164 yards on Sunday.  That beats the previous three games combined in which he had 13 catches for 143 yards.  Yeah, yeah, I know Goff tossed the Rock 60-plus times so the 15 targets should not be stressed too heavily.  But how about this – the Rams next four opponents include Seattle (that had trouble with Teddy Bridgewater ), Cincy and Atlanta.  Given that Woods has two of four games with 13-plus targets, too many talented teammates for double-teaming (Kupp, Cooks, Gurley) and put up 1200-plus yards a season ago, there is much reason for optimism.  Stay the course if you own the Rams wideout.

Mike Evans:   Last week we wrote: “Yeah, Daniel Jones stole the back pages but Mike Evans was great, shutting up Janoris Jenkins and putting him in the toaster all day long.  Evans finished with eight catches, 190 yards and three TD on the day. Yeah, I know that he only had six-89 in the first two weeks combined. I also know the Bucs are not very good and blew Sunday’s game big time.  However, remember this – you do not get minus points when Winston throws picks. He will be airing it out and Evans will be on the other end more often than not. If anyone in your league thinks this game was an outlier, oblige him/her and take Evans off their hands.  You will not be sorry!” Evans was no Chris Godwin , but I will take four-89 and a TD (or almost 19 fantasy PPR points). Keep on running Evans out there. I know the Saints D looked very good against the Cowboys but football players are human and there is a real risk of a let down after such a hard-hitting emotional high profile game.  Evans will score his points.

Final Note:  It is sad to see what has happened to the once vaunted Miami Dolphins and Washington football franchise.  As bad as the Fish have been, Washington may be worse. Haskins is not ready, they do not protect, they cannot run consistently and only McLaurin can constantly get separation (but will surely be double-covered often).  While I might take a flyer on Preston Williams or Davante Parker for bye week production when I have a hole to fill, I want no part of any Washington player, including one of my fantasy football favorite underdogs of recent years, Adrian Peterson .  Washington’s performance Sunday was all I needed to see. Next!
