Austin Hooper :  Hooper had a huge day Sunday reeling in nine catches for 71 yards and a TD.  In the last two weeks, Hooper has 22 targets!  To put that into perspective, Julio Jones has 23 over that span.  With the reeling New Jersey Giants next up on the schedule, Hooper is once again a must start.  (ps – If you do not own Hooper, think about trying to deal for him now or during his Week 8 bye week.  This is as low as the price could go.)

Michael Crabtree :  Crabtree caught six of his nine targets for 93 yards and a TD.  Crabtree seems to be a bit of a divisive figure in fantasy football analyst land.  Some (like me) see him as a consistent high floor kind of guy.  Others see him as being on the downside of his career at 30.  My argument:  First, Crabtree is averaging nine targets per game so the opportunity to build up fantasy points is there.  Second, he has put up double digit PPR fantasy points every week but one.  Third, in the last three years coming into 2018, Crabby notched 25 TDs.  As the season progresses, Flacco will come to rely more and more on Crabtree (especially in the red zone).  Buy now while you can.

Alshon Jeffery :  The annual Alshon Jeffrey coming out party occurred at the Giants’ expense Thursday.  Alshon reeled in eight for 74 yards on 12 targets.  Oh, and he scored two TD.  Buy low if you can.  As much as this Cowboys fan hates to say it, the Eagles will get better on offense with Wentz working off the rust.  Moreover, without Ajayi (and McCoy seemingly staying put in upstate New York), the Eagles could well throw the ball more.  Also, some of the Ertz targets will go to Alshon.  If he stays healthy (a big if for anyone but especially him), Alshon will be severely undervalued.  With Carolina next up (the team that gave up 30 to the aforementioned hurting Giants), Alshon is a buy!

Julio Jones :   Can we just admit he will not be getting into the end zone often in his career?  Enjoy the PPR points but forget the TDs.  (I write this solely to try and shake the cosmic powers to help get Julio into the End Zone more often than say Albert Wilson)

Melvin Gordon :  Enough of the “he is just a volume play who is not good at football” nonsense.  This guy is a top-five back week in and week out.  Period.  Anyone disagrees, well, they are wrong!  Three more TDs this week says those who are on team Melvin are right.

Isaiah Crowell :  Last week we wrote: “Isaiah Crowell ran all over the Broncos Sunday to the tune of 219 yards and a TD.  Great work by Crowell and congrats to those who started him in season-long or DFS.  However, after you finish patting yourself on the back, slow your roll.  Crowell is not a break-away back (his 6.8 yards per carry this year is two full yards per carry better than his best ever season), has not rushed for 1,000 yards in any of his four prior NFL campaigns, was out-touched by Bilal Powell , and has the Vikings and the Bears in two of the next three weeks.  This is the ultimate sell high candidate.  The only question is whether you risk holding him for the Indy game.  I do not, as his value will never be higher.”  Well, I hope you listened as a meager 13 carries and 52 yards from scrimmage says selling high was the way to go.  With the Vikings and Bears up next (and having been out-touched by Bilal Powell again), Crowell is a sell high-ish candidate whose value is falling.

Final Note:  Will the Ezekiel Elliot doubters please stand up.  Zeke will keep getting the ball, keep putting up fantasy points and will lead the NFL in rushing.  If anyone is selling, buy.  Buy now.  (Ok, this was a homer final note, but you know, my name is on the column.)  Good luck in Week 7.
