**UPDATED: THURSDAY, OCT. 26 @ 2:45 PM ET**
Welcome to the Week 8 NFL DFS Watch List!
With six teams on a bye this week and many of the top stars facing some tough match-ups, it's time to really dig deep and find some players who can offer us a strong return even on the smallest of investments. It almost feels like a heavier GPP week than it does cash games. There could be a heavy overlap in cash games this week which means the paylines may be a little higher and it becomes tougher to cash in multi-entry contests. If you're new to DFS, you may want to look for single-entry 50/50s and Double-Ups. We can cover that a little more in-depth as the week progresses. For now, let's see who looks good in their match-ups this week.
If you're new to the DFS Watch List, feel free to go back and look at the first seven weeks, so you can see how the process works
Players I am considering using from Thursday night for Week 8 DFS contests:
Jay Ajayi, Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins Defense
FanDuel: Dak Prescott, Jordan Howard, Joe Mixon, Doug Baldwin, Jarvis Landry, Stefon Diggs (pivot to Adam Thielen if Diggs doesn't play), Travis Kelce, Wil Lutz, Dolphins D
Draft Kings: Kirk Cousins, Jordan Howard, Joe Mixon, Doug Baldwin, Jarvis Landry, Nelson Agholor, Jason Witten, Demaryius Thomas, Dolphins D
ADDED -- see below for analysis (10/26)
Matt Ryan, QB ATL
Russell Wilson, QB SEA
Ezekiel Elliott, RB DAL
Le'Veon Bell, RB PIT
LeSean McCoy, RB BUF
Tevin Coleman, RB ATL
Doug Baldwin, WR SEA
A.J. Green, WR CIN
Keenan Allen, WR LAC
Mike Evans, WR TB
Kelvin Benjamin, WR CAR
Devin Funchess, WR CAR
Chris Moore, WR BAL
REMOVED (10/26)
C.J. Anderson, RB DEN -- Thought long and hard about this match-up which, on paper, looks good for Anderson. But so did the last two and he came up way short. I'm wondering if the "increased touches" talk for Jamaal Charles isn't a precursor for the whole "revenge game" narrative. Considering all the other options at running back, I'm not going to take any chances trying to chase Anderson here. Maybe a little recency bias, but he gives zero reason to be trusted.
Tanner Gentry, WR CHI -- The addition of Dontrelle Inman takes some of the luster off this potential GPP play, not to mention it looks like he would have matched up against Marshon Lattimore. He's just not ready for this.
Ricardo Louis, WR CLE -- With the Browns returning to Deshone Kizer, I'm out on Louis. The London game was bad enough, but all this flip-flopping on the starting QB is doing absolutely nothing for consistency.
