We are back yet again for another early-week Fantasy Alarm NFL Injury report as we look into the most important player statuses that we should be monitoring heading into Week seven!

Raheem Mostert RB, SF (Ankle)

Mostert exited the Niner’s Week six match against the Rams after suffering an ankle injury. He was ultimately not able to return to that game and is now listed as “doubtful” for the Niner’s Week seven tilt against the Patriots. This could likely land Mostert on the sideline for a couple weeks, as Mostert likely could be heading to the injured reserve list in the following days.

Miles Sanders RB, PHI (Knee)

Sanders was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice session the Eagles held, and this is not a great look as we head into the latter part of the week in terms of Sander’s availability with the Eagles on a quick turn-around playing in two days on Thursday Night Football. We can likely veer to the side of caution for the Eagles on this one and expect Sanders to sit out.

Joe Mixon RB, CIN (Foot)

Mixon briefly left the Bengal’s Week six match against the Colts with what was being reported as a foot injury. He was able to later on return to the game and finish it out, but he is now listed as questionable for the Bengal’s upcoming game against the Browns on Sunday. Likely we get further status updates on him later this week and we can have a better determination on his status by Friday’s report.

Darius Slay ton WR, NYG (Foot)

Slayton was a limited participant in the Giant’s Tuesday practice session and for this reason he is slapped with the “questionable” tag as well for the Giant’s game this week against the Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Much like Sanders above, we likely will have this news in the next day or so as this game a quick turn-around here for both squads. Signs out of practice are relaying that there is a chance that Slayton could just be playing through the ailment, but we should keep an eye on his status heading into Thursday night.

Melvin Gordon III RB, DEN (Illness)

Gordon is now recovering over what was issued to be a “bout with strep throat”. Gordon didn’t even travel with the Broncos on Sunday to New England due to the illness, but the key words here are the he is recovering. Hopefully Gordon will be fully recovered from the illness by the time the Broncos are ready to take on Chiefs in Denver next Sunday. We will continue to monitor his status heading into the weekend.

Noah Fant TE, DEN (Ankle)

When all the reports out of practice for Fant heading into Week six were decently good, he was ultimately ruled OUT for their clash against the Patriots. Hopefully this meant that Fant was nearing a return but just wasn’t quite ready yet. He is still listed as “questionable” for this week, so we will see what his status is looking like on Friday’s report.

Jonnu Smith TE, TEN (Ankle)

Smith exited the Titan’s Week six match against the Texans with an ankle injury in the third quarter and after giving it a warm-up afterwards on the sidelines he was directed to the bench where he sat for the remainder of the game. There have yet to be no new report on Smith’s status early into Week seven, so we will hopefully have something more to report on by Friday. Either way, a status to keep your eye on as the Titans host the Steelers on Sunday.

Sammy Watkins WR, KC (Hamstring)

Sammy Watkins is dealing with a hammy issue that kept him out of the Chief’s Monday game against the Bills. Watkins was not able to make any progress during the week in practice as he was not able to take the field once. Hopefully with a week off from action, he will be able to return to practice sometime this week and have a shot in playing Week seven.

Leonard Fournette RB, TB (Ankle)

Fournette continues to deal with an ankle injury that has lingered for around three weeks now. Fournette was ultimately listed as inactive before the Buccaneer’s clash with the Packers on Sunday. Fournette is once again on the injury list for Week seven with the same ankle and is listed as “questionable” to play in this week’s game against the Raiders. We will continue to monitor his status throughout the week.

Diontae Johnson WR, PITT (Back)

There are reports from Steeler’s practice the Johnson is a hopeful to return to their practice field on Wednesday of this week. Johnson was held out of the Steeler’s win over the Browns on Sunday, and it looks as if one week off was hopefully enough, if the reports that were given come to fruition. We will have another update on his status on Friday if he is still included on the injury report.

DeSean Jackson WR, PHI (Hamstring)

Jackson was able to log a limited practice for the Eagle’s on Tuesday. This is good news at least for an Eagles offense that is already looking to be on the bleak side of offensive weapons with both Sanders and Ertz looking at missing. Jackson is looking promising for a return on Thursday night when the Eagles take on the Giants.

Zach Ertz TE, PHI (Ankle)

If Ertz wasn’t already having a bad enough season so far, he is now getting an MRI on his ankle that he injured in the Eagle’s bout against the Sunday against the Ravens. However, the good news is that the Eagle’s don’t think it is severe, and it was reported that they Eagle’s staff was less worried about Ertz’s injury in comparison to Miles Sanders. We have yet to get a report on how Ertz’s MRI went, but we should have something by Friday hopefully.
