The Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault is back once again. It is Tuesday, the 7th of January, and we have a medium 6-game slate on tap for today in the Association. Let’s see where we are at on some value for tonight so far…

DRAFTKINGS

1.) Jarrett Culver ($5,000)- Hard to not like what Culver has been doing with the injuries to most of the backcourt of the Wolves over their last 4-5 games. He has now seen 28+ mins in his last four-straight, while also putting up over 31 FPs in three of those four. He is carrying a modest 21.4% usage over his last four, and even with Wiggins returning in their last contest, he still managed to see 11 FGAs, close to the 14, 14, and 21 he had reached the prior three games without Wiggins. Culver has also pulled down at least five rebounds in three of his last four, while also dishing out three or more assists in that span as well. It seems the Wolves are going with a bit of a youth movement, as Teague only saw 17 minutes in his return to action, and he has really been non-existent over the Wolves’ last 10 or so games. Don’t mind the tag on Culver here, as he seems to continue to be an integral part of this rotation moving forward, not to mention the game-flow in this match-up with the Grizz should help as well.

2.) Darius Garland ($4,800)- Dipping back into the Garland well, hoping that many will jump off the ship after he only was able to produce 17 FPs in 35 minutes in the Cavs most recent game against the T-Wolves. Do not fret FANation, Garland is still seeing good run, seeing 34 or more minutes in his last four, while also going for 30+ FPs in two of his last five, AND 22+ FPs in four of his last five as well. Let us note as well that the Pistons are allowing the fifth most FPs to opposing PGs on the season as well.

3.) Svi Mykhailiuk ($4,200)- Svi has played well in the absence of starting SF Luke Kennard . He has been highly efficient, going for 20+ FPs in his last four, while also playing heavy minutes of 29, 31, 30, and 32 in that span as well. He is quite the shooter, as he has taken a total of 43 FGAs over those four as well, while also averaging 1.0 steals. Don’t expect too awful much more from Svi in terms of counting stats; however, on DK we like the fact that he is attempting seven three-point attempts per game as well in his last four. Let us also note that the Cavs are allowing the eighth most FPs to opposing SFs on the season as well.

FANDUEL

1.)  RJ Barrett ($5,100)- This isn’t the greatest match up against the Lakers tonight in LA, but I feel that the game script is likely not going to affect Barrett’s floor-time. Barrett has seen 30+ minutes in his last three of four, while putting up 23 and 36.2 FD points in his last two, as well. It was quite the encouraging site to see that in his last game against the Clippers, where he scored 24 real points, he was gifted with 11 total Free-Throw attempts, a number that he had only gotten close to just once this year at eight. Hopefully, Barrett is gaining a bit of confidence and is going to continue to be aggressive and driving to the hoop, hoping to draw fouls more often in the future.

2.) Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($4,900)- We will take the smaller price for RHJ over on FD tonight. RHJ has stepped in nicely for the Raptors with all the injuries they have faced. They are also looking to be without starting SG Fred Van Vleet tonight as well. Hollis-Jefferson has played 27, 29, and 25 minutes in his last three, while accruing 22, 27, and 31 FD points in those as well. He has totaled five steals in his last two, and grabbing at least five rebounds in his last three contests. He should continue to get decent run off the bench while the Raptors continue to be plagued by injury.

3.) Anfernee Simons ($3,900)- Simons is a bit cheaper over on FD, and is in the PG spot, a spot that is quite thin tonight. The Blazers could possibly be without starting SG CJ McCollum once again tonight, and Simons got a big minute’s bump in the Blazer’s last game with him sitting, as he saw 34 total minutes on the floor. In those 34 minutes, Simons put up a 19 point, four rebound, four assist line, which was good for 26.8 FD points. If CJ does ultimately get ruled out again due to illness, we could plug Simons on both sites to be honest in a nice value spot role here tonight against the Raptors.
