Welcome back to the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault! I will be on this article for today and also on Sunday, so hopefully we can find the best value to help our lineups maximize upside! As always, we will feature THREE players from each major site, DraftKings and FanDuel, and why I like them for tonight’s slate of games!

DRAFTKINGS

Spencer Dinwiddie ($5,300)- Dinwiddie not only has an elite match up here with the Rockets, as we know they do not play any defense according to their previous game with the Wizards, Dinwiddie is a good play tonight. When digging a bit deeper into the statistics, it is Dinwiddie that is 2nd in terms of usage rate behind Kyrie Irving at a hefty 30.2%. Also, his AST% is very good at 34.9%, and he is running at a higher PACE than any starter on Brooklyn at 107.48. To dive a bit further, I wanted to see who got the most influence with Kyrie off the court, whether it be Caris LeVert , or Dinwidde, and here is what I found. Levert sees a smidge higher of a usage rate at 26.8%, Dinwiddie’s is 26.4%, so not a huge difference there. The thing that stuck out the most was that Dinwiddie sees a fantasy point bump of +13.36 (a bump of +10.42 real points), compared to only +4.03 (only +4.02 real points) for Levert. Love the price, love the match up, Dinwiddie is pretty much a lock play.

Tomas Satoransky ($4,200)- I know everyone will be fixated on the revenge factor of Derrick Rose playing his old team in the Chicago Bulls, but while everyone plans to get there, I will grab his opponent on the other side for tonight at his price. Satoranksy is about as cheap as you can get for a starting point-guard on tonight’s slate that has now played at least 26 minutes in his past three games. Couple this with the fact that the Pistons are allowing THE MOST fantasy points to the PG spot, and this seems like an easier play for me. To put a little more context into this, the Pistons are next to last in terms of allowing opponents points in turn-overs on the season so far, as well as, turning the ball over the 4th most in the NBA. This could play to one of the many Satoransky skills in terms of steals, as he now has six total steals in five games, and is averaging 1.2 per game, right under Zach LaVine at 1.4 per game.

Glenn Robinson III ($4,000)- GR3 will look to gain a bit more usage bump in tonight’s game as the Curry-less Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs, who are on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back after playing the Western Conf leading LA Clippers last night. It is no secret that Curry is a HUGE loss for the Warriors, but the fact of the matter is that they still have to play, and someone has to shoot the ball. Of course, Draymond will see a bump, DeAngelo Russell will see a bump, but I also like GR3 to see one as well, as we saw him have a 18.7% usage rate after Curry left in their last game. It is also worth noting that other than returning C Willie Cauley Stein (+10.1% usage bump without Curry on floor), it was GR3 who saw the most addition in terms of both fantasy points (+8.40), as well as real points (+9.27).

FANDUEL

Marcus Smart ($5,400)- Almost seems quite like a no-brainer here as Smart will look to get another good run of minutes in tonight’s clash with the Knicks at home. Smart has now averaged 33 minutes of the last two games, while carrying a decent 16.7 usage rate to boot. Smart’s last two games have resulted in 35.8 and 33.2 fantasy points over at FanDuel, largely in part due to the two blocks and two steals he accrued over those two games. Smart is a defensive-minded player first, and offensive second, however, he was also able to put up double-digit scoring efforts in both as well with 19 and 12 respectively. He is just too cheap for the blocks/steals upside that he brings over on Fanduel, and should be a lock play to build around on there.

Maxi Kleber ($4,900)- Kleber is getting tons of run while the Mavericks are easing starting C Dwight Powell back into game shape. Last game was Powell’s first game back, but it was Kleber who shined off the bench as he put up 14 points, seven boards, one assist, THREE BLOCKS and a steal, good for 34.9 fantasy points on FanDuel. With the three blocks in his last game, that raises his total to EIGHT blocks in only four games of action. This is a huge benefit to playing Kleber on FanDuel obviously. He has now topped 23.5 fantasy points over his last three contests over on Fanduel, and tonight he has a match-up with the Lakers, who COULD potentially be without starting PF Anthony Davis . I like the price, and fully expect Kleber to continue to see 25 mins at the least nightly.

Daniel Theis ($3,900)- Really didn’t want to have to go here, but it was apparent that the Celtics literally have no one to play at the Center spot tonight. Two of the Centers are not available in Enes Kanter and Tako Fall, and the only other Center on the roster in Robert Williams is a game-time call (currently says doubtful) going into tonight’s game with the Knicks. It does kind of suck that Theis is listed as a PF on FanDuel, however, it is a spot you can afford to take a chance on tonight in my opinion as the top of the PF list is going to be thin if Anthony Davis does happen to sit. Theis saw 27 minutes in the Celtics previous game, put up 11 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one block against the Bucks. This was good for 25.3 fantasy points on FanDuel. If Williams is a no-go, as it is looking, I think you just have to roster Theis and pay up elsewhere.
