NFL Running Back Workloads: Week 10
Mike Alexander takes a look at running back workloads from Week 10 of the NFL season and breaks down what it means going forward.
We’ve hit the double-digit mark in weeks played. Are your teams in the hunt or circling the drain? I’ve never seen more parity across all my leagues than this season so don’t give up and don’t rest on your laurels.
Brian Hill , RB ATL - This week’s hot waiver add. He handled all but one of the carries after Devonta Freeman left the game. That was in “protect the lead” mode so don’t expect 20 carries every week. With Ito Smith IL’d and Freeman expected to miss multiple weeks the load should be large for Hill, however. He’s a hard runner and has flashed talent in brief moments previously.
Kareem Hunt , RB CLE - Hunt hit the ground running and played a fairly large complement of 38 snaps (54%). He was on the field with Nick Chubb , who played 57 snaps, plenty. What remains to be seen is whether that is a regular part of the Browns gameplan or a one week wrinkle. That offense needs any spark it can get and both backs were effective with their touches (25-11 in favor of Chubb)....
