UFC FIGHT NIGHT LIVE JULY 14TH FROM BOISE IDAHO

FIGHT PASS PRELIMS 630PM

FOX SPORTS 1 PRELIMS 8PM

FOX SPORTS 1 MAIN CARD 10PM

We have an exciting Fight Night Card this weekend. This card is full of UFC Veteran fighters as well as some up and comers to the UFC. Should be an exciting weekend of fights. We will start off with the UFC Fight Pass Prelims at 630pm

Jessica Aguilar 19-6 vs Jodie Esquibel 6-3

Jessica’s 19 wins come way of 2 KO/TKO, 8 submissions, and 9 decisions. She is coming into this fight on a 2-fight losing streak. She has a well-rounded game, but look for her to utilize her Jiu jitsu brown belt and take this fight to the ground

Jodie’s 6 victories are by 1 KO/TKO and 5 submissions. Despite her having 5 submissions, she has a very strong boxing background. Look for her to keep the distance.

Should be an excellent fight. Could very well go either way. Look for Jessica to use her veteran experience and control the fight and get the win.

Mark De La Rosa 9-1 vs Elia Garcia 4-0

Mark has 1 KO/TKO, 5 submissions, and 1 decision in his 9 wins. He is coming off his first loss. He will look to take this fight to the ground. He is a Jiu jitsu black belt.

Elias has 2 KO/TKO, 1 submission, and 1 decision. This is his UFC debut. He has a heavy kickboxing background. He will look to keep this fight standing and avoid going to the ground

I look for Elias to continue his undefeated streak.

Liz Carmouche 11-6 vs Jennifer Maia 15-4-1

The former Marine and UFC Veteran Liz has 6 KO/TKO, 2 submission, and 3 decision wins. She has a well-rounded game but prefers to take the fight to the ground and use the classic ground and pound tactics.

Jennifer has 3 KO/TKO, 5 submissions, and 7 decisions. This is her UFC debut and is brining an impressive 6 fight win streak. Expect her to go to the ground and put her Jiu jitsu black belt to good use.

I see the UFC Vet Carmouche getting the win tonight.

FOX Sports 1 Prelims 800pm

Raoni Barcelos 11-1 vs Kurt Holobaugh 17-4

Ranoi has 6 KO/TKO, 1 submission, and 1 decision win. This is his UFC debut and has a 4-fight win streak going for him. He is a Jiu jitsu black belt but also has tons of punching power.

Kurt has 5 KO/TKO, 8 submissions, and 4 decision wins. He has 5 1st round finishes over his opponent. He has incredible striking.

This should be a great fight. Kurt has more of a well-rounded game that will help him get the win

Justin Scoggins 11-4 vs Said Nurmagomedov 11-1

Justin has 6 KO/TKO, 1 submissions and 4 decisions. He has a notable win over Ray Borg. However, he is on a 2-fight losing streak. He has a great striking game.

Said has 2 KO/TKO 3 submissions, and 6 decisions. This is his UFC debut and has a 5-fight win streak. If his name looks familiar that’s because his cousin is the current Lightweight Champ Khabib Nurmagomedov. Said is a very unorthodox style fighter.

Look for Said to continue his winning ways.

Darren Elkins 24-5 vs Alexander Volkanovski 17-1

Daren has 6 KO/TKO, 6 submissions, and 12 decisions. He has wins over Dennis Bermudez and Michael Johnson. He currently has a 6-fight win streak.

Alexander has an impressive 10 KO/TKO, 3 submissions, and 4 decisions. He has lots of power. Heavy hands. He is riding a 14-fight win streak.

Great fight between 2 guys, but I see Alexander with another victory

Eddie Wineland 23-12-1 vs Alejandro Perez 20-6-1

Eddies has 13 KO/TKO, 5 submissions, 4 decisions, and 1 draw. He is a former WEC Bantamweight Champion. He is well versed in wrestling and has a great standup game.

Alejandro has 9 KO/TKO, 5 submissions and 6 decisions. He is a TUF Finalist. He is 5-0-1 in his last fights. He will look to use his striking background and keep the fight standing.

Great main event on the prelim show. Both fighters have a great deal of experience. I see the former WEC champ on top in the end.

MAIN CARD FOX SPORTS 1 10pm

We have a great main card tonight. Lots of experience on this card. Some of these fights could easily be on a PPV card. WE start the night off with 2 veteran ladies in the cage.

Cat Zingano 9-3 vs Marion Reneau 9-3-1

Cat has 5 KO/TKO, 3 submissions, and 1 decision. She does have a 3-fight losing streak going, so she needs a win badly. She does have wins over Miesha Tate and current champ Amanda Nunes. She has a wrestling background and like to throw some heavy bombs as well. She is very aggressive in the cage and maintains octagon control.

Marion has 5 KO/TKO, 3 submissions, and 1 decision. She is 3-0-1 in her last 4 fights. She has wins over Sara McMann and Jessica Andrade. She will look to use her Jiu jitsu brown belt to good use if the fight goes to the ground.

I love this fight for both woman. Cat desperate needs a win, and Marion is looking to keep climbing. I see this fight going the distance and Marion getting the nod from the judges.

Chad Mendes 17-4 vs Myles Jury 17-2

Chad has 7 KO/TKO, 2 submissions, and 8 decisions. He is back after some time off, so he may have a little rust in the 1st round. 3 of his last 4 losses are against former champs being Jose Aldo, Connor McGregor, and Frankie Edgar. Chad is a top caliber wrestler and will utilize that over his opponent.

Myles has 8 KO/TKO, 5 submissions, and 4 decisions. He is a well-rounded fighter. He is looking to boost up his stock with a big win over Mendes. He is brining a 2-fight win streak.

Great fight for both. Good tough opponent for Mendes to come back to, and a high-level fighter to test Myles. I see Jury with the upset tonight.

Randy Brown 10-2 vs Niko Price 11-1

Randy has 5 KO/TKO, 3 submissions and 2 decisions. He has won 3 of his last 4.

Niko has 7 KO/TKO, 3 submissions and 1 decisions. He has 8 1st round finishes and is a brown belt in Jiu jitsu.

Niko with the win

Zak Ottow 16-5 vs Sage Northcutt 10-2

Zak has 3 KO/TKO, 10 submissions and 3 decisions. He is a black belt in Jiu jitsu. He is very comfortable on the ground. Look for him to avoid Northcutt’s striking abilities.

Sage has 4 KO/TKO 3 submissions and 3 decisions. He currently has a 2-fight win streak. Look for him to use his karate and keep the fight standing. He does have a purple belt in Jiu jitsu but look for him to avoid the ground game of Ottow.

I like this match. As much as the young Northcutt has a lot going for him I expect to see Ottow with the win.

Dennis Bermudez 16-8 vs Rick Glenn 20-5-1

Dennis has 4 KO/TKO, 3 submissions, and 9 decisions. He has a 3-fight losing streak. He does have wins over Clay Guida and current champ Max Holloway.

Rick has 11 KO/TKO, 4 submissions, and 5 decisions.  He is 3-2 in his last 5 fights. He has 6 1st round finishes.

Look for Rick to get the win over the UFC Vet

Main Event

Junior Dos Santos 18-5 vs Blagoy Ivanov 16-1

The former champ JDS has 13 KO/TKO, 1 submissions and 4 decisions. He has wins over Ben Rothwell, Mark Hunt, Frank Mir, and Roy Nelson just to name a few. His last fight was a loss to former champ Stipe Miocic. For a big guy he has great kicking power to the head. He will utilize his boxing to his advantage.

Blagoy has 6 KO/TKO 6 submissions and 4 decisions. This is his UFC debut, but he is a Bellator vet. He has a 5-fight win streak. He is used to fighting former champs. Back in 2008 he beat Fedor in the Semi Finals of the World Sambo Championship.

JDS is looking for a win and to climb the ladder and maybe get a title shot. Blagoy is looking to make a name for himself in the UFC. He would certainly make a statement with a bug win over JDS.

I look to see the up and comer Ivanov pull off the upset.
