Atlanta Motor Speedway is the host venue for this week’s race or should we say they’re racing on sandpaper instead of asphalt. The track surface at Atlanta is the most aggressively worn-down of any track they race on. This means that tire strategy will be of the utmost importance especially with late pit stops playing a role on restarts and whether they’ll be a sitting duck up front or not.

Passing can happen here, though usually from guys moving up from the back to the mid-pack as is seen and talked about in the Track Breakdown. Strategy here comes down to getting a laps led dominator and guys that finish in the top-15 as is also explained in the track breakdown strategy notes.

Listen to the podcast and check out the rankings for more info on where guys fit into builds.
