2019 MLB Prospect Report: Trade Deadline Names to Watch
Matt Selz breaks down some of the prospects that could be on the move in July trades as the deadline draws near at the end of the month.
The All-Star Break is just about over and that means there are only a few weeks until the lone, hard, trade deadline in MLB this year. For those that are unknowing, the non-waiver and waiver trade deadlines have been combined into one deadline this year, meaning that July 31st is the last day to trade players instead of still having into August to make moves. Prospects are always the talked about guys this time of year as they are referred to as trade chips and typically the team that can put together the best package of prospects is the one that gets the biggest names on the market. So, with that in mind, let's look at some guys that can be traded in the next few weeks as the contenders gear up for the playoff run in the second half.
Kyle Tucker , OF HOU – At this point, it’s got to be clear that Tucker is trade bait for Houston. I mean what else could possibly be keeping him down in the minors at this point? If he was going to have come up, why did they sign Michael Brantley ...
