Top Guards |
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
Jared Butler | BU | AUB | 8800 | 34.87 | 7900 | 31.79 |
Jared Butler has been on an absolute tear lately for the Baylor Bears, averaging 39.54 DK/35.48 FD points per game over his last 5 games. His best performance in this stretch came against a turnover prone TCU team. As he played above his 2.9 spg average and picked the Horned Frogs' pockets 5 times. Now playing an Auburn team that is also turnover prone, especially eith Sharife Cooper (4.0 TO per) in the lineup expect a big day from Butler. Davion Mitchell ($7200 DK/$6500 FD) and MaCio Teague ($6500 DK/$5800 FD) are always worthy paydown options. |
David Duke | PROV | GU | 8700 | 37.16
The reason why David Duke has found himself amongst the top priced guards is his floor is very high. Prior to the Marquette game Duke was in a 3-game "slump", yet still put up no less than 27.5 fantasy points. Duke broke out of his slump in a monster way with a career-high 31 points (55.5 fantasy). Against a bad Georgetown team expect Duke to remain out of his "slump".He's a great play in a DK's GPP contests. |
Cade Cunningham | OKST | ARK | 8300 | 34.67 | 7800 | 31.73 |
It was a real bummer that Cade Cunningham was a late scratch for the Pokes last game. Cunningham missed the game against Baylor for an undisclosed reason but should be available for this one. The Cowboys really missed his scoring/playmaking in the loss. Now with important resume game for OK St, expect Cunningham to bounce back in a big way. |
Herbert Jones | ALA | OU | 7600 | 29.24 | 6500 | 27.03 |
Herb Jones is a straight stat stuffer for the Crimson Tide, averaging 12.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.bpg. In a game that is expected to be up-and-down, look for Jones to make a big impact in this one in several ways. Look at both John Petty Jr ($6800 DK/$6200 FD) and Jordan Shackelford ($6200 DK/$5300 FD) as paydown options for their 3-point shooting, Oklahoma allows opponents to shoot 35.8% from deep. |

Mac McClung | TT | LSU | 7300 | 26.61 | 6200 | 24.79 |
Mac McClung is really becoming a star at Texas Tech. In the Red Raiders last 3 games, Mac is averaging 35.47 DK/30.9 FD points per game. LSU doesn't play a lick of defense so McClung provides value on both platforms but especially in a FD cash contest. |
Moses Moody | ARK | OKST | 6700 | 29.71 | 7300 | 27.75 |
Moses Moody has been a bit up-and-down lately for the Razorbacks and his price in DK has paid the price. Moody though is one of the bes freshman guards in the country and going against another one in Cade Cunningham expect Moses to rise to the occasion. |
Bryce Aiken | SHU | NOVA | 3900 | 9.56 | 4400 | 8.35 |
It has been a tough go for Harvard grad transfer Bryce Aiken at Seton Hall. However he is coming off his best game as a Pirate, scoring 20 points against Creighton. This game should earn him more playiong time from Kevin Willard and he could come up big in a cash contest. |

Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG |
Sandro Mamukelashvili | SHU | VU | 8400 | 34.3 | 7700 | 31.45 |
Mamu is a daily fantasy superstar due to his skills scoring, rebounding, and passing. The senior forward is averaging 17.6 ppg, 6.9 rpg, and 3.3 apg. In his last game against Villanova Mamu had himself a night 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.Seton Hall blew their last game to Creigton and Mamu was not aggressive down the stretch, expect him to really try and assert himself against Villanova. |
Trendon Watford | LSU | TT | 8100 | 35.16 | 8000 | 32.69 |
Trendon Watford is an NBA forward playing college basketball. He is another forward that can make a major impact scoring, rebounding and passing the rock. Expect a high scoring affair against Texas Tech and if you look at their frontcourt they have no one with the size and athleticism to contens with Watford. This makes Wartford a nice play in GPP games. |
Matthew Hurt | DUKE | CLEM | 7800 | 34.96 | 7600 | 32.18 |
Despite Duke's 6-5 record Matthew Hurt is playing himself into the All-American conversation. The big man is averaging 19.2 ppg and 8.2 rpg for the Blue Devils. Clemson doesn't have a big that can match his versatility as a strech and post big man. Expect hurt to continue his All-American campaign against the Tigers. |
Derek Culver | WVU | UF | 7500 | 27.9 | 7000 | 28.94 |
Derek Culver is a double-double machine for the Mountaineers and that makes him a fantasy stalwarth at the forward spot. Keyontae Johnson would be the perfect player to slow down Culver, unfortunately for the Gators he won't be playing in this one. Culver is a great play in GPP games for both platforms. |
Jahvon Blair | GT | PROV | 7900 | 30.96
With great guards on Saturday's DK slate and Blair being G/F eligible becomes a sneaky play at the forward spot. Providence doesn't play Ed Cooley's typical stout defense (ranking 72nd in KenPom adjusted defensive officency), so expect Blair to be able to get his. He also had a 20-point night when he played Providence last year. |

Nate Watson | PROV | GU | 7100 | 20.96
Don't let Watson's last game against Marquette keep the Friar big man out of your lineup. Theo John gave him fits in his last game but the Georgetown doesn't have a bruiser like John. Watson is one of the best low-post scoring bigs in the nation scoring 18 ppg, which presents great value at $7100. Also the game at Georgetown is a bit of a homecoming for Watson, hailing from Virginia, if you put stock in that sort of thing. |
Raiquan Gray | FSU | GT | 6700 | 23.65 | 6200 | 22.10 |
Raiquan Gray has scored at least 25 fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games for FSU. Gray didn't have a good game against the Yellow Jackets in their first meeting this season but he did play 30 minutes. Coach Leonard Hamilton must like him on the floor against Tech thus he presents good value to have a bounch back in the rematch. |
Jermaine Samuels | VU | SHU | 6200 | 22.5 | 5900 | 21.33 |
Jermaine Samuels has come back from Villanova' COVID pause a different player. In the last two games the senior posted 30 points and 19 rebounds. One of those games happened to come against Seton Hall where he scored 20 points and added 9 rebounds. Think Samuels is a great value play on both platforms and either type of contest. |
Seth Lundy | PSU | WISC | 7300 | 23.92 | 5500 | 21.82 |
I really wanted to fade the Penn St, Wisconsin game but Lundy's value on FD I just couldn't pass up. Lundy has been a beast for PSU in his last 3 games, scoring a total of 58 points and 21 rebounds. The potential for this one being a rock fight does worry me but again he's a bargain on FD. |
