Due to the COVID pandemic we have seen a lot of odd start times to college basketball games this season. That is why we have Sunday slate that starts around breakfast time. DraftKings and FanDuel’s Sunday main slates offer intriguing matchups and should make for a fun contest that you can play in between NFL playoffs. DraftKings’ main slate is a 6-gamer that will start with games at 11am est. FanDuel is offering a 3-game main slate but won’t get underway until 6:00pm est. The good news is FD’s slate has the same games that are in DK’s 6-game contest.

DK gets the party started with a Big East showdown between Providence and Xavier at 11am. At 2:30 we have perhaps the most exciting game on the slate with #15 Minnesota takes on Luke Garza and the 5th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes. At 4:30 DK has an intriguing matchup in the AAC with Cincinnati at Wichita St.  At 6 FanDuel finally gets into the action with games in the Big Ten and ACC, as Indiana travels to Nebraska and Notre Dame plays at #19 Virginia Tech. Both slates wrap up with a Big Ten battle with Maryland traveling to #12 Illinois. Lets supplement those NFL lineups with some college hoops and have a Sunday!

Top Guards

Ayo DosunmuILMD900040.17800037.15
After acheiving back-to-back games of 30 points, Illinois guard Ayo Dusunmu has been held to a total of 27 points in his last two contests. When you are dealing with a star like Ayo, he won't be held in check for long. Maryland does have length at the guard position and in two games last year the Terps held him to 25 total points but keep in mind this is a Maryland team that isn't as good as last season and an improved Dosunmu, expect a big night.
Marcus CarrMINNIOWA860036.77
A game against a high octane offense in Iowa presents an opportunity for Minnesota guard Marcus Carr to have a monster game. Don't believe me? Check out what Carr did to Iowa in their first meeting this season. , 30 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds in 102-95 overtime victory. Expecting him to do that again may be a bit optimistic if the Golden Gophers want to keep up with Iowa, they will have to lean on Marcus Carr.
Teddy AllenNEBIU750030.41720028.28
Really wantes to put Xavier's Paul Scruggs here but then looked at Teddy Allen's usage rate. Allen ranks 10th in college basketball in usage rate and it shouldn't come as a huge surprise considering Hoiberg has a NBA background. Allen was dismissed from both WVU and WIchita St but has thrived since coming to Lincoln. The game being on the lower side of a point total does scare me but cant pass someone with a top-10 usage rate that costs ≤ $7500 .
Tyson EtienneWICHCIN740028.70
In my opening I said Cincy at WIch St was an intriguing matchup but lets be honest not the most exciting game for fantasy purposes. Wichita State's program is in a bit of flux with the termination of Greg Marshall but sophomore guard Tyson Etienne has been a revalation for the Shockers. The guard is averaging 17.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 2.4 apg, which is nearly double of what he produced as a freshman. Lets face it this Cincy team isn't your Mic Cronin Cincy team, so if you're playing DK, Etienne may be a nice play especially in GPP.

Aljami DurhamIUNEB650021.61600020.06
Durham provides great value due to the fact that guard Armaan Franklin is out for the foreseable future for the Hoosiers. Al had already started to get it going with an 18-point game against Penn St but then in the Maryland game (when Franklin went down) and the Wisconsin game put up 20 and 30 fantasy points for DK and 18.9 and 27.3 points in FD.
Both GachMINNIOWA490022.73
Gach has burned me the past few weeks, as he only has scored in double figures in one of his last five games. The good news he is a guy that does other things that can get you points, which was seen in the first matchup against Iowa where he posted 23.5 points despite only scoring 7 points. At this pricetag iys jus too tempting to pass up, either use Gach as a paydown for Carr or roll with both of them considering the projected points for the contest.
Alyn BreedPROVXAV30005.47
This is a high risk, high reward play that is based on the health of Jared Bynum for the Friars. Bynum rolled his ankle on a push off from Marcus Zegarowski that was called a blocking foul, as a Friar alumn I swear I'm not bitter. If Bynum, who is a gametime decision, doesn't go look for Cooley to utilize his freshman guard more. Breed hasn't gotten a ton of burn this year but when he got 13 and 15 minutes against Alabama and FDU the guard posted 14.8 and 11.3 fantasy points respectively. Breed comes from IMG Academy where he has played with star players in the prep and AAU circuit, he knows how to play with good players.

Luka GarzaIOWAMINN970045.9
Are you all getting sick of Luka Garza? I'm certainly not. While the pricetag is massive Garza dominated the Gophers in their first game with a video game-like 32 point and 17 rebound performance. If you are able to budget yourself a compete roster that can squeeze Garza in you do it.
Trayce Jackson-DavisIUNEB950038.54850036.29
Was pretty surprised to see TJD only $200 cheaper than Garza but it is most likely due to an appetizing matchup against the Cornhuskers. Nebraska gives up a whopping 42.8 rpg to the opposition and that is music to my ears. Expect a double-double for TJD in this one. A paydown option to consider would be IU's Race Thompson ($6000 DK, $6600 FD)
Dalano BantonNEBIU820033.09700029.00
Banton does have a tough matchup against Indiana but he is a cheap alternative amongst higher priced players for GPP contests The reason being because he has a nice combo of scoring, rebounding, defending and passing. Banton is averaging 12.8 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 4.9 apg, 1.1 bpg and 1.5 spg. The guy is an absolute stat stuffe and is certainly worth your consideration.
Liam RobbinsMINNIOWA800030.29
Think I owe Minnesota big man Liam Robbins an apology. Last week I included several frontcourt players on Ohip St because I didn't think Minny's bigs were good enough. Robbins sure made me look foolish, as he dazzled in a 27 point, 14 rebound and 5 block performance against the Buckeyes. In the first matchup against Iowa he was solid with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Don't make Liam make you look dumb as well.
Nate WatsonPROVXAV710029.7
Nate Watson was a bit underwhelming against a Creighton team he should have had great success against. Unfortunately PC played right into the pace the the Jays wanted to play at and Watson never got going. Against Xavier should be the perfect opportunity for a bounce back game for the big fella. The Musketeers do have a good frontcourt with Carter and Freemantle but they just lost big man Ben Stanley for the year and this game should be played more in the halfcourt. Watson is the best offensive low post player in the Big East and look for him to try and punish Xavier in the paint.

Keve AlumaVTND660028.7750026.55
Keve Aluma's transition from the Southern Conference to the ACC has been a surprisingly smooth one. It helps when you are going to a team that hired your former coach. Aluma came over from Wofford with coach Mike Young and both are off to great starts. Aluma has helped power Va Tech to #19 in the polls with a slash line of 15.5/6.5/1.3. Unforunately considering the smaller slate in FD he's pricey but provides excellent value in DK.
Tari EasonCINWICH630021.03
Freshman Tari Eason is coming off his best game of his career with a 14 point, 5 rebound, and 4 block performance against SMU. Wichita St leans oin their guards an awful lot, so Eason should be in a great spot for another good performance.
Joe WieskampIOWAMINN610026.71
Joe Wieskamp has done a solid job of being Robin to Luka Garza's Batman, however the last two games he has scuffled. Wieskamp has scored a total of 14 points in his last two games and that was what he had in the first game against Minnesota. Look for Wieskamp to bounce back and the pricetag is very attactive for a Cash game.
Juwan DurhamNDVT550020.44530019.53
Juwan Durham has really failed in improving upon his junior year. As a senior Durham's numbers are practically identical from a season ago. Still he is a pretty cheap option to get you 20 fantasy points. I especially like him in FD as there aren't a ton of options at the forward spot and he's rather cheap.
