What to Watch for Today

Luis Severino (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will make his second start of the year when he takes on the Blue Jays today. He tossed four shutout innings and struck out four in his first start of the year when he took on the Angels. The Yankees will continue to look to build his load up for the playoffs.

Marcus Stroman (9-13, 3.21 ERA) and Trevor Bauer (11-12, 4.41 ERA) will provide us with an interesting pitching duel of two guys who were traded from AL teams to NL teams at the deadline this year. Both pitchers have pitched to a worse ERA since the trade, but both are coming off a great outing in their last time out.

Justin Verlander (19-6, 2.50 ERA) will look to pick up his 20th win of the year when he takes on the Angles today. JV tossed six shutout innings his last time out and has racked up at least seven strikeouts in all four of his September starts.
