Top-Tier

Fernando Tatis Jr, SD – Tatis bashed his 18th home run of the season yesterday and currently leads the NL in both home runs and in steals with 13. That is despite two IL stints. Not only does he lead in home runs and steals, he also has a combined 83 R/RBI over just 48 games. He is insanely productive and he should do more damage today with the Padres facing Lucchesi in New York. A road game is a nice thing for Tatis as he has been great on the road, slashing .312/.367/.753, compared to .247/.342/.557 at home. As for Lucchesi, he has a 5.79 ERA this season and righties have accounted for both steals against him, all three home runs, and both triples that he has given up.

Jesse Winker, CIN – Winker is hitting .339 with 17 home runs, 38 RBI, and 48 runs scored this season. He’s been an elite offensive force consistently all season. He has pounded right-handed pitching, slashing a ridiculous .367/.431/.716 against them with 16 home runs, compared to .245/.351/.327 against lefties. He had an eight-game hitting streak come to an end yesterday, but over that span he hit .364 with four home runs, nine RBI, and 11 runs scored. Senzatela has a 4.62 ERA and 1.43 WHIP this season and has been awful on the road with a 6.75 ERA and 1.90 WHIP. Opposing hitters have slashed .355/.405/.632 against him when he’s pitched on the road and the Reds average more runs at home than any team in the league. Expect some fireworks today.

Mid-Tier

Raimel Tapia, COL – Tapia picked up a pair of hits and a run scored in his last game, extending his current hitting streak to nine games. In that span he is hitting .463 (19-41) with eight doubles, five RBI, and 11 runs scored. He is now hitting .289 with five home runs, five steals, 31 RBI, and 33 runs scored on the season. All five of his home runs and all five of his steals have been against righties and he is slashing a very healthy .290/.339/.426 against them this season. He is hitting .273 away from Coors this year, so this being a road game doesn’t matter a whole lot for the Rockies leadoff man. I expect him to stay hot today and continue to produce as he faces a pitcher making his MLB debut.

Kyle Tucker, HOU – WHAT? His Price has dropped after swatting a home run and extending his hitting streak to seven games?? Go home DraftKings, you’re drunk. He is hitting .357 (15-42) with six RBI and five runs through 10 games in June. He is hitting .314 (44-140) with seven home runs, three steals, 26 RBI, and 28 runs scored since the start of May (a span of 37 games). The guy is an elite talent who is consistently producing and DraftKings is treating him like he’s some bum. I really can’t understand it. He is slashing .290/.359/.536 against righties this season, compared to .219/.264/.417 against lefties. Lefties are slashing .232/.276/.434 against Pineda, which is much better than the .206/.264/.371 line that righties have produced. Lock in Tucker without even thinking about it.

Bargain Bin

Colin Moran, PIT – Moran is having a strong season, hitting .288 with four home runs and 20 RBI through 37 games. He has killed right-handed pitching, slashing .313/.368/.500 against them with all of his home runs, compared to .207/.303/.276 against southpaws. Today he gets Houser and he’s been hurt by lefties his whole career and this season is no different as lefties are slashing .262/.319/.421 against him, compared to the .216/.323/.387 line that righties have produced. On top of all that, Moran is 7-11 (.636) with two home runs against Houser in their career matchups. Moran is way too cheap and if you really want to get bold you can go with a full Pirates stack as I also kind of like Frazier, Reynolds, and Hayes as well.

Brendan Rodgers, COL – Rodgers is not being priced correctly. Even with yesterday’s 0-3 game, he is hitting .385 with three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs scored over his last nine games (seven starts). Rodgers is a talented kid and he is feeling good at the dish right now, so getting him at such a cheap price makes it tough to not have interest, especially if he’s batting second in the lineup again today like he has the past two days. And, again, the Rockies are facing a pitcher (who isn’t a top-100 prospect) making his MLB debut today in a hitter-friendly environment. I can see this whole game being an offensive shootout.
