Chalk Stacks

New York Mets vs Jeremy Hellickson

The Mets are rolling right now and on Monday they get to face Nationals starter Jeremy Hellickson who will be making his 2018 debut.  Hellickson struggled last season, going 8-11 with a 5.77 ERA over 30 starts for the Orioles and Phillies.  The Mets currently rank in the top 10 in runs, home runs, RBI and OPS against right-handed pitching this season and have plenty of left-handed bats in their lineup with Michael Conforto , Jay Bruce , Asdrubal Cabrera and Brandon Nimmo all worth using in your lineup stacks if they are playing tonight.  Mets cleanup hitter Yoenis Céspedes is off to a slow start this season but has really done well against Hellickson during his career, hitting .316 with three home runs and six RBI.

Philadelphia Phillies vs Julio Teherán

Teheran has been horrible when pitching at home over the past year, having allowed nine runs on 10 hits over eight innings this season and last season he went 3-10 with a 5.85 ERA.  Fortunately for DFS players he takes the mound in Atlanta tonight against a Phillies team that ranks fifth in the majors in runs scored and RBI.  Anybody in the top half of this Phillies lineup is in play today but Maikel Franco has the best BvP numbers against Teheran as he is 10-for-30 with two doubles and one RBI.  César Hernández , Carlos Santana , Rhys Hoskins , Odubel Herrera and Scott Kingery are also all in play.

Contrarian Stack

Seattle Mariners vs Dallas Keuchel

Keuchel has a 5.40 ERA on the road this season and dating back to 2015 he has a 4.25 ERA on the road over 41 starts.  His name value however typically keeps opposing hitters at a lower ownership and I look to take advantage of that in a GPP game stack.  Nelson Cruz is the notable name to play against Keuchel as he is 10-for-30 with three home runs off him in his career.  Other names worth looking at when building your stacks tonight would be Jean Segura , Mitch Haniger and Robinson Canó .
