SPMike WrightNCDS. Jang (R)$9,100
I mean, Wright is a -300 favorite on tonight’s slate. Take a second and think about that. He faces off against the league’s worst team who has the worst offense. Wright has yet to put together a bad start and has 10+ DK points in each start this year. This is where you start your cash game builds.
SPWon Tae ChoiKIWC. Lim (R)$8,900
Choi has a tough match-up ahead of him, but so do a ton of pitchers on this slate and not many of them have been pitching as well as he has. Choi has three quality starts in his last four outings and has put up 14+ DK points in those outings. He’s a -160 favorite tonight and this success shouldn’t surprise anyone considering his sub-four ERA in each of the previous two seasons.
SPRicardo PintoSKD. Kim (R)$7,500
Things haven't exactly been smooth for Pinto, but he’s shown signs of life in his last two outings. He has back-to-back quality starts, his problem has been the amount of traffic on the basepaths. He walked six batters his last time out and allowed 13 hits in the start prior. Samsung’s offense sits near the bottom of the league in average, homers, runs scored and runs batted in. If Pinto can keep them off the basepaths, he could exceed value here.
SPChan Gyu LimLGW. Choi (R)$7,200
I like Choi on the other side of this match-up, but Lim’s strikeout upside is top notch. He didn’t flash it against the KIA Tigers last time out, but the three starts before it he had 6+. He features a 9.3 K/9 which is an elite mark and has a 2.94 FIP compared to a 4.43 ERA, so he’s been very unlucky. Nobody has struck out more than Kiwoom this season, so this sort of match-up is right up Lim’s wheelhouse.
SPShi Hwan JangHANM. Wright (R)$6,900
So like, what do we do here? I get all the downside to playing Jang. He faces the Dinos, he has a 6.93 ERA and 2.11 WHIP and is a +235 underdog. I understand it all. I do. But then, you note he has an 11.3 K/9 which ranks SECOND in all of the KBO. He’s put up 10+ DK points in 4-of-5 starts -- including one against the Dinos -- and is below 7K. I think, for GPP’s ONLY, we take a shot on him here.
Hitters

CSung Woo JangKTWJ. Seo (R)$3,500
Jang had his day of rest on Thursday so he’ll be back in the KT lineup Friday. The catcher is hitting .345 over his last 10 games and has been a really strong run producer for KT sitting at 18 RBI up to this point. Jang has belted all three homers against RHP this year and is batting a cool .341 against them to boot.
CSeung Taek HanKIAY. Lee (R)$3,900
One of the hottest hitting catchers in the league right now, if not the hottest. Over his last 10 games, Han has slashed .400/.438/.733 with three bombs. Talk about a position with limited depth. Catcher is it. Han is as good as it gets in this match-up. 3-of-4 homers this year have come against RHP, for the record.
1BJae Il OhDOOM. Kim (R)$3,600
Min Soo Kim has been a very strong pitcher for Kia this year, but lefties have him hit slightly better than righties and Oh has looked good at the dish. He has a hit in five straight games and his OPS remains a cool 1.021 this season. Not only that, but he’s severely underpriced at 3.6K.
1B/2BJoo Hwan ChoiDOOM. Kim (R)$2,300
We’re talking serious value here from the Doosan infielder. Despite being just 2.3K, he has already belted six homers which is tied for the team lead. The lefty swinger has belted four of his six bombs and driven in 14-of-19 runs against RHP this season.
1B/OFJamie RomakSKD. Kim (R)$5,700
We know Romak has power and we know that power offers upside. He’s twice gone for 20+ DK points in 2-of-3 games and is in a match-up that offers both of those aforementioned things; power and upside.
2BChi Hong AnLOTM. Kim (R)$3,000
An continues to hit third for LOTTE despite only hitting .257 this year. An does have power as he’s flashed in the past, but only has one bomb this year. What he has excelled in is swiping bags as he’s already up to seven on the year. Great value at a less than ideal position.

2B/SSJin Hyuk NoNCDS. Jang (R)$3,400
We’re getting a really nice value on the multi-position eligible 6 hitter. He’s hitting .333 with an OPS north of 1.000 his last 10 games, which has risen his average to .310 on the season. He’s flashed solid power hitting four homers and as documented, Si Hwan Jang allows a LOT of traffic on the base paths.
2B/SSByung Woo JeonKIWC. Lim (R)$2,000
Lock and load in cash. Probably in GPP’s as well. He’s min salary and is batting .360 with a .827 OPS. Since coming back from his 10-game absence, Jeon has a four-game hitting streak, three of which have resulted in 2+ hits and he has at least one RBI in each.
2B/SSSun Bin KimKIAY. Lee (R)$4,000
I’ve documented throughout this playbook Young Ha Lee’s inability to throw strikes, which plays into Kim’s hand. The KIA two-hole hitter has a robust .451 OBP this year and a career mark of .377. He just walked three times the other day and reached base a whopping four times that same game. He doesn’t hit for much power, but he’s a high volume guy at a position that is scarce.
SS/3BJeong ChoiSKD. Kim (R)$4,800
Although he went 0-for-3 on Thursday, Choi is swinging it so much better than he had been. I mean just over his last 10 games he’s slashed .367/.548/.600. This is one of the league's premier hitters and he has the opportunity to hit his third homer against an SP who’s allowed 1.7 HR/9 for two straight seasons and is on that same trajectory this season.
3BJae Gyun HwangKTWJ. Seo (R)$5,500
I know 5.5K is a steep price tag for a guy with just two homers, but he’s hitting .315, has nine XBH, 18 runs and 15 RBI. I will point out that Jun Won Seo has allowed 1.3 HR/9 and three of the four have come against RHH.
OFSoo Kwang NohSKJ. Seo (R)$3,300
The OF value on this slate is tremendous as Noh is really feelin’ good at the dish this year. He’s hit for power, used his speed on two triples and two steals while maintaining a solid .322 AVG. All three homers Kim has allowed have been to LHH.
OFSung Bum NaNCDS. Jang (R)$5,400
This is why Na was drawing interest from teams in the MLB before last year's injury. He RAKES. Just over his last 10 games, he’s slashed .432/.523/.919 with 10 XBH, 11 R and 12 RBI. LHH have hit .321 vs. Si Hwan Jang this year and Jang has 2.11 WHIP this year, so we could see Na on the basepaths a lot in this spot.
OFJeong Dae BaeKTWJ. Seo (R)$2,700
There’s no reason to explore Bae or Yong Ho Jo in most lineups, especially cash games. Both are under 3K, both hit at the top half of the team's lineup and both are hitting north of .300, with Jo over .400. This game features an 11.5 game total, which is the largest of the slate.
OFMel Rojas Jr.KTWJ. Seo (R)$6,700
I know we’re paying a price for a pitcher essentially, but c’mon, he’s on FIRE. He’s hit four homers in five games, is riding a nine-game hitting streak and has a 1.200 OPS on the year. He’s moved into second in the league in homers and the only downside is he strikes out a lot, but Seo doesn’t strike ANYONE out, so we shouldn’t worry about it in this spot.
OFJi Wan NaKIAY. Lee (R)$3,500
KIA has a lot of favorable price tags in a pretty darn good match-up and Na fits that description to a tee. He has the split advantage as Young ha Lee has allowed LHH to bat .351 while Na is batting a cool .377 vs. RHP. He’s still only 3.5K, hits in the heart of the lineup and fits in a stack or a one-off. Oh, he’s hitting .378 over his last 10 games too.
OFPreston TuckerKIAY. Lee (R)$6,100
Tucker is beginning to heat up once again as he’s belted a home run in back-to-back outings and has hits in 7-of-9 games. What makes Tucker extremely attractive here is his ability to reach base. He has a .398 OBP while Young Ha lee, Doosan starter, has a 1.81 WHIP and has more walks (19) than strikeouts (17).

This game total has risen all the way up to 11 runs and although Doosan are the defending champs, KIA is favorited here. Young Ha Lee has a 5.14 ERA and 1.82 WHIP on the year and can be exploited. Outside of last season, when the ball was dead, Lee has never posted better than a 5.00 ERA or 1.50 WHIP.

The Wiz are an ELITE offense. Not only is their offense elite, but the 11.5 O/U is the largest of the slate and they're favorites in this one. The wind is blowing out here at nearly 7 MPH and could carry the ball out of the stadium if they lift the ball. Jun Won Seo, LOT starter, has had a lot of luck on his side this year considering a .272 BABIP, and his 4.23 ERA compared to a 5.56 FIP. Look for an explosion here.
