SPJae Hak Lee (R)NCDS. Moon$9,700
Lee did not have the most dynamic start his first time through the rotation, but he did strike out six opponents in 5.1 IP on his way to a win. The Dinos are rolling right now and Lee is a -197 favorite in Vegas right about now. He’s coming off a nice season in which he pitched to a 3.75 ERA and went 10-4. SK is 1-7 this season, tied for the worst record in the league, and are hitting .242 as a team while hitting the second fewest home runs thus far.
SPHui Kawn Yu (L)DOOK. Im$9,200
This isn’t someone that we’re going to rely on to give us six or seven strikeouts, but Yu is a very solid pitcher coming off a bad game, which happens to everyone. He posted a robust 3.25 ERA last year and his 4.02 FIP backs up how solid he was. He ate a lot of innings in ‘19 notching 166.1 and Doosan is -174 favorites for Friday’s outing.
SPHyun Hee Han (R)KIWC. Jeong$7,400
Han looked impressive in his season debut, notching a quality start allowing three earned over six innings, picking up a win while striking out six. KIW are slight favorites here at -120 but these are two strong offenses, so this is a risky play. That said, he’s been a part of the Heroes’ franchise since 2012 and has been rock solid as both a starter and reliever, notching a career 4.11 ERA and 1.32 WHIP.
SPDan Straily (R)LOTE. Kim$7,000
This is easily the chalkiest pitching play of the slate. We’re getting a guy coming off of seven shutout innings while striking 11 his last time out and is now squaring off with a team who have hit the fewest home runs in the league and are hitting just .265 as a team. Lock and load Straily at this price, even on just three days rest.
SPHyeong Jun So (R)KTWT. Won$6,000
Look, KT Wiz have been terrible. They’ve lost four in a row and now sit at 1-7, which is tied for the worst record in the league. So has the lone win for the Wiz after impressing in his KBO debut. We don’t know much about the 18-year old, but his 3.44 FIP was actually lower than his 3.60 ERA in his debut. KT are actually favored here at -122 despite opening the season the way they have.

Hitters
PosPlayerTeamOpp. PitcherDK Sal.
1B/2BJose Miguel FernandezDOOK. Im (R)$6,300
We’re still considering paying the price tag based on how locked in Fernandez is at the dish. He’s currently slashing .500/.541/794 with six multi-hit games out of the eight he’s appeared in. Ki Young Im has failed to record a WHIP below 1.7 since 2017 and is not exactly known to be someone who gets a bunch of strikeouts to help make up for his deficiencies with allowing base runners. Fernandez should be a constant on the basepaths in this one.
OFKun Woo ParkDOOK. Im (R)$4,300
I know it’s hard to justify paying this tag for Park, but he’s simply had bad luck than he hasn’t. He has a .222 BABIP and we’re talking about a guy hitting .319 or better for five straight seasons, hitting at the top of the Doosan lineup each and every year. He hits for power as he’s eclipsed 10+ HR in four straight seasons and can also swipe a bag reaching double-figures in three of his last four campaigns. Park could break out in this spot.
1BJae Il OhDOOK. Im (R)$4,500
Oh has now homered in three of his last four games, has driven in at least one run in all four and has scored one-plus run as well. We don’t love the 21% K-rate he’s sporting, but we definitely love the .400 ISO and 218 wRC+.
CSe Hyuk ParkDOOK. Im (R)$3,100
We’re not getting much power from Park as he hit just four home runs and posted an abysmal .111 ISO last season, but he’s a very solid contact hitter in an extremely potent offense with a lot of run producing opportunities on a given night. He’s started off the 2020 campaign batting .292 and has consistently posted an OPS of .740 or better the past three seasons.
1BRoberto RamosLGH. Han (R)$2,900
This seems like a mistake but then you look at Ramos’ game logs and DraftKings hasn’t priced him higher than 3.4K this season. Ramos played in Triple-A last year and blasted 30 home runs and has already hit three this season. He’s riding an eight-game hitting streak with a 1.292 OPS to start the year.
OFAaron AltherrNCDS. Moon (R)$6,000
Although Altherr hasn’t exactly made his presence in the KBO known, it’s bound to come. He hit two to the warning track on opening night and then went yard the following night, then injured his hand which has hindered him slightly. That said, this is the match-up we should attack. SK’s starter Seung Won Moon has a big problem keeping the ball in the yard. He has allowed 20+ HR in three straight seasons and that trend continued in start number one allowing two. I’m calling an Altherr bomb here.
CEui Ji YangNCDS. Moon (R)$5,000
He’s been rock solid at the dish hitting .290, but he hasn’t exactly broken out and looked like the best hitter in the league like he did all of 2019. That said, he has an exploitable match-up and we’re talking about a guy that ended with an OPS of 1.012 and a 174 wRC+ to boot in ‘19. He’s as elite as they come.
3BSuk Min ParkNCDS. Moon (R)$4,500
Park has gotten off to a hot start in 2020 and the craziest part is he’s been pretty unlucky posting just a .294 BABIP thus far. The Dinos offense could get even scarier when guys like Park and Sung Bum Na’s numbers start to balance out as the season progresses. How wild is that?
OFSung Bum NaNCDS. Moon (R)$3,800
We’re not talking about any old good KBO hitter here. We’re talking about one of the best. So good in fact, he wanted to play in MLB before a detrimental injury derailed that idea -- at least for the time being. Na has a CAREER .316/.386/.534 slash and has hit 20+ home runs, 30+ doubles and driven in 90+ runs in every season from 2014-to-’18. He hasn’t had ANY luck at the dish with a .286 BABIP and is sub 4K. Play him every slate at this price.

1BDae Ho LeeLOTE. Kim (R)$4,600
Lee has already put together four multi-hit games and has a .455 OBP, currently ranking him 12th in the KBO in that category. He has also only belted one home run this far and that’s coming from a guy who has hit 16+ in 11 straight KBO campaigns. His .241 ISO and 166 wRC+ this season suggest the big numbers he’s putting up will continue moving forwards.
OFByung Hun MinLOTE. Kim (R)$4,200
The multi dimensional Min has gotten off to a fast start at the plate this season slashing .382/.417/.676 through eight games. He’s homered in back-to-back contests now and will once again assume position as the Lotte Giants leadoff man on Friday. OBP is what we’re harping on with Lotte in this meeting and Min has a career .372 mark in that category.
2B/SSDixon MachadoLOTE. Kim (R)$5,700
What Kim struggles with is with his command. He walked more batters (21) than he had strikeouts (15) in 2019 and that didn’t change during start number one this year with four walks and three punch outs. He also hit a batter, so five free passes altogether. Machado has excelled at getting on base this year notching a .382 OBP through eight games. He also happens to have an OPS over 1.000 and has already belted three bombs and driven in 13 runs.
OFAh Seop SonLOTE. Kim (R)$3,600
For whatever reason DK is still pricing Lotte’s number three hitter at 3.6K, which is obviously something we should be taking full advantage of. Son has at least 10 home runs and 10 stolen bases in every season dating back to 2013 and has failed to notch an OPS under .880 in all but one of those seasons to boot. It’s a lock and load considering past success as well as current at a .407 average and 1.098 OPS.
SSHak Ju LeeSAMH. So (R)$3,600
Lee only has played three games due to an injury but hits fifth for Samsung and had a very strong rookie year. He has some, not a lot, but some pop but he makes his living running the bases. He had 14 doubles, three triples and 15 stolen bases in 118 games. He’s a salary saver I’m willing to take stolen base upside on in GPP’s
OFJung Hoo LeeKIWC. Jeong (R)$4,300
Lee isn’t your prototypical three hitter, but he rakes. He’s hit .324 or better all three years he’s been in the KBO and has started this season at .355. He lives in the gaps with 30+ doubles/triples all three seasons and is also a threat to steal a bag with 11+ steals each season in the KBO. Lee leads the team in OPS, ISO and wRC+ and is only 4.3K. BUY BUY BUY!
CJi Young LeeKIWC. Jeong (R)$3,500
Kiwoom has two very solid hitting catchers in Lee and Dong Won Park and their manager has announced they’re in a timeshare, which we already knew. Lee has been better at the dish, but Park has seen the larger portion of the timeshare. Lee is $800 cheaper, however. You’re going to have to get up 30 minutes to an hour before this contest to find out who’s starting.
OFMel Rojas Jr.KTWT. Won (R)$6,200
He just flat out rakes. He has at least one hit in all eight games this year and that’s led to his .457/.486/.657 slash line thus far. He faces off against Tae in Won who entered his second season a bit overrated. His peripheral stats did not back up the sort of numbers he actually put up. He was awfully lucky with a .290 BABIP while posting a not-so-good 4.71 FIP. He is not a big strikeout guy (5.5 K/9) and walks a boatload of opponents (3.1 BB/9). Rojas could explode in this spot.
1B/OFBaek Ho KangKTWT. Won (R)$5,900
The lefty Kang has been a star since entering the KBO and he’s off to a fast start once again in 2020. The 20-year old has belted three homers and has a .997 OPS. He’s posted an OPS of .881 or better in each of his first two KBO campaigns. Kang has power upside and is always a swing away from depositing one into the stands.
OFJin Gi JeongSKJ. Lee (R)$3,700
He’s not the most explosive bat, but where he lacks in power he makes up for with speed. He has a triple and stolen base out of the leadoff spot in the SK order thus far. He has the split advantage against Lee and will be a lower owned GPP pivot off a likely popular Sung Bum Na at a very similar price tag.
2B/3BChang Pyung KimSKJ. Lee (R)$3,400
He may only be 5-for-23 at the dish, but those five hits equal the exact amount of stolen bases he has as well. He’s showing a good eye at the dish walking three times and only striking out twice, so if he can continue to find ways to put the ball in play and reach base, he’s as big a threat to steal a base as anyone else in the league.

Usually Doosan or the NC Dinos make the top spot, but the Giants are rolling offensively right now. They're second in average and runs batted in and third in home runs as well. They face off against a young pitcher from Hanwha that has clear control issues and if Lotte remains the OBP warriors they've been, they could lead the slate in runs scored.

The league's best team right now is firing on all cylinders. They lead the league in home runs and square up against a pitcher who cannot keep the ball in the yard. He's allowed 20+ HR in three consecutive seasons, including 2019 where the ball was dead. The Dinos keep rolling here.
