Everytime we log onto Boom Fantasy, they have something new in store for us. If you’ve been a big fan of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest every July 4th, look no further. Boom is hosting a tournament for the tournament, which is amazing and something you won’t find anywhere else. But enough about Hot Dogs, because it’s making me hungry, so let’s take a look at tonight’s main slate. There is a five-game day slate in the MLB, but we’re just focusing on the main in the evening!

Question number one features two Braves, Ender Inciarte and Brandon Phillips, and which will have more hits. Inciarte is clearly the favorite and should be, as Padres starter Dinelson Lamet has been awful against LHH. Lefties are hitting .322 with a .466 wOBA, while righties average against him is just .119.

Moving along, question two has to do with hits as well and it just so happens to have another Braves’ player in it. Only this time, Matt Kemp is joined by three others in Didi Gregorius, Yunel Escobar and Melky Cabrera. We touched on Dinelson Lamet’s dominance against RHH in the paragraph above, so Kemp is definitely a risky GPP play here. Gregorius has a juicy matchup against a pitcher very HR prone while Escobar faces Clayton Kershaw, so yeah, if you like playing the ownership game pick Escobar because you’ll be the only one!

Heading to question three we see Boom switched things up and is asking us about RBI. Cody Bellinger is the favorite at +10,000, followed by Jose Abreu, Nick Markakis and Yasmani Grandal who brings in +20,900 points if he winds up winning. Bellinger and Grandal are both in excellent spots as Angels starter J.C. Ramirez has allowed 11 HR to LHH this season. His HR/FB rate is 23.4-percent, so he’s bound to give up some bombs to left-handed bats tonight. Abreu is a great run producer, but hasn’t hit a homerun at his home ballpark all season long, but Markakis could be a sleeper seeing how well lefties have hit Dinelson Lamet, something we touched on this whole article.

Question four continues on with RBI and has some bigtime run producers involved, like Albert Pujols and Gary Sanchez. Justin Turner and Brett Gardner are also apart of the question, but they’re serious underdogs as both players are +4,500 more than Sanchez. Both Yankees players are in really solid spots versus James Shields. We’ve already mentioned above that the Angels are tasked with Clayton Kershaw, so Pujols and his price tag might not make the most sense.

All rise for the honorable baseball masher, Aaron Judge. We’re not just saying that because it’s fun – and it definitely is – but because we’re being asked about the amount of extra-base knocks he’ll have on Thursday. Judge leads baseball in all the major statistical categories and if the season ended today he would win the American League Triple Crown. Need we say more? Well we will, because his matchup with James Shields is insane and he might pull a Scooter Gennett and hit four out. We’re just kidding, but if it happens we called it first.

Unfortunately for us, question six deals with a questionable player in Avisail Garcia. After contacting the Boom staff, they informed us that if said player doesn’t play, the question is simply voided. Garcia exited in the 9th inning of Wednesday’s game after awkwardly sliding back into first base on a pickoff move. He’s having an MRI during the day so we can’t picture he’d play that same evening.

Both questions seven and eight head to the pitching side of things and focus in on Jaime Garcia and Clayton Kershaw. One of the two has a 17-percent K-rate and a 6.5 K/9 mark while the other has a 29-percent K-rate and a 10.1 K/9 mark. That said, both pitchers have good matchups and should be able to strike out a plethora of hitters on Thursday.
