MVP/CPT

Jayson Tatum

Tatum has given us three straight double-doubles while topping 46+ DKP in each of those games. He’s taken 20+ shot attempts in all three games and has been playmaking a lot more lately as well, notching four or more assists in four-of-five games. Portland ranks 29th in DRtg as a team and I want Tatum in all my lineups tonight.

Damian Lillard

As much as I’ve avoided playing Lillard on main slate’s lately, I realize that in a showdown format, where we only have two teams playing, very few guys have a ceiling like Lillard does. If he gets hot, he can give us 50 actual points. Not just 50 fantasy points.

Kemba Walker

The easy choice here is to go Jaylen Brown , but we should give Walker some MVP consideration here. He’s much cheaper and allows the potential to play both Tatum and Lillard in the same lineup. Not to mention Portland ranks 24th against PG’s according to DvP this season. Walker has topped 30 fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games and even has a few 40 pieces mixed in there.

Mid-Tier

Robert Covington

Covington, much like Lillard, is a guy that I haven’t looked at lately all that much. With the addition of Norman Powell , he became the fifth, sometimes sixth best offensive weapon on this team. He’s failed to score double-figure real points in four-of-five games and has taken less than 10 shots in three-of-five. That said, if the shot falls, he can give us 40 FP because of his ability in all other facets of the game, mainly on the defensive side of the ball.

Robert Williams

Look, we need Williams to stay out of foul trouble and stay on the floor. Even with Tristan Thompson back, Williams has played 25, 25 and 27 minutes in his last three games. He hasn’t put up monster fantasy production, but he’s been over 22 FP in each game. He has double-double upside and we know he can block three, even four shots in a game as well.

Jusuf Nurkic

The minutes increase is coming soon and it could very well be in this spot against Boston. He’s been limited to 22 minutes the past two games, but he’s been productive in those games putting up 27+ DKP in each. As a matter of fact, he’s put up 27+ DKP in four straight games despite playing 22 minutes or less. I smell a double-double.

Value Tier

Tristan Thompson

Let me tell you something….value in this game is GARBAGE. Both teams are just giving their starters a LOT of minutes and everyone else is barely scratching the surface. Thompson is at least firmly in the Boston rotation and has a chance at 20+ minutes depending on if Robert Williams can stay out of foul trouble or not.

Carmelo Anthony

The ONLY reason Anthony makes it here is because the value SUCKS and because he doesn’t need a lot of time to fill it up. He poured in 11 actual points and 22.5 DKP two games ago against Detroit and that’s all we would need at just 3.8K on DK. Really risky due to his the role he’s in right now.
