Welcome to the DFS Playbook for Week 3 of the NFL season!

Did you ever go through a slate and just love far too many plays? That's what I'm thinking heading into Week 3. I've spent all week crunching the numbers, studying the match-ups and building a million different lineups in my head. Then I recorded the NFL Podcast with Jon Impemba and I built a million more. OK, a bit of an exaggeration, but there really are a ton of different combinations I like. So far, I've settled on the pay-up at QB, RB and TE with a pay-down at WR which is where there just seems to be far too man mid-tier priced guys sitting in good spots. There are also a number of deep dives to take for both cash games and GPP tournaments. I've presented you with quite the menu here, but do take the time to check out all of the content we provide.

Just to let you in on the process, I spend my entire week studying players, schemes and match-ups on my own, but then I read every single article we put out each day. It sounds like a lot, but if you sparse it our each day, the progression really seems to carry you through with relative ease as it all jibes with the news reports we are catching. The Watch List gets updated throughout, we catch everything on the SiriusXM show and then I record the podcast on Friday night. Jon and I spend about 15 minutes pre-show, record for about 45 minutes and then talk on the phone for another hour or so. What I have found is, having these conversations really helps organize things and I encourage all of you to take advantage of the Live Chat on the site to discuss your plays. You never know who is going to provide you with that helpful nugget of information you never thought about. Sure, you'll have to sift through some hometown hero commentary, but overall, simple discussion can really help.

That being said, let's get to the Playbook...
