Welcome to the DFS Playbook for NFL Week 2!

It's amazing that we're only in the second week of the regular season and we're already dealing with a number of injuries that are crushing the souls of fantasy football owners everywhere. But it's also affecting our DFS play as there are a few situations I am going to completely avoid rather than A. play a guessing game with injury information provided by coaches and player who typically lie to us and B. risk my hard-earned cash on a flier that, to me, is even too risky to throw into a GPP lineup. I'm not one of those guys who plays 150 lineups in the Millionaire Maker. I'm more of a grinder who lives in cash games and plays the single-entry GPP tournaments. Does that take me out of the running for a million dollars? Sure, but I can always go to my local grocery store and buy a $5 scratcher and probably end up with the same odds.

Two situations I am avoiding completely are the Green Bay Packers offense and the Jacksonville Jaguars backfield. Aaron Rodgers is questionable with a knee injury and on top of that,. Davante Adams has been slowed by a shoulder issue. Facing the Vikings defense; the defense that put him out of commission last year? No thank you. The match-up for a healthy Rodgers and Adams would have been tough enough, but now you're throwing in this? Hard pass.

The other situation -- the Jaguars backfield -- looks like it could be a hot mess for fantasy. Leonard Fournette missed practices all week and is being considered a game-time decision. Naturally, you would turn to T.J. Yeldon , right? Um...maybe not. Jags head coach Doug Marrone made comments early in the week regarding a desire to get Corey Grant more touches out of the backfield. Now I don't expect Grant to get a full complement of touches, but if Fournette plays, he's likely to be limited which means the touches will be shared among the three of them. And if Fournette is out, well, just how much work with Grant get at the expense of Yeldon? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but there are plenty of other decent running back match-ups this week that I would much rather use than this one.

But enough of who we aren't using.....let's get to who we want to use this week...
