Patrick Mahomes said his toe is "feeling a lot better."

Mahomes was clearly struggling to move on what likely was a turf toe injury last week, but he said the injury has improved a lot in recent days. He even went as far as saying "it wasn't as bad as it looked." Mahomes will start against the Bills on Sunday after clearing the concussion protocol, but the toe injury will be a storyline. During his playoff career, Mahomes has been more lethal on the ground. With Mahomes' injury status clearing up, the betting market has settled on Chiefs as -3 or -3.5 favorites.

Texans interviewed QB Josh McCown for its head-coaching vacancy.

It's the first interview for McCown, who was on the team's active roster at the end of the year and, oddly enough, remains under contract with the team through 2021. The Texans clearly don't have an internal direction for its coaching search, but interviewing a current player is unique even for Houston's standards. Jim Caldwell also reportedly had extended talks with the team's front office on Friday.

Ronald Jones (quad) was a full participant in Friday's practice.

It's an upgrade for Jones, who had been limited in every practice prior. There's a terrific chance Leonard Fournette again leads this backfield in touches after out-snapping Jones 48-21 in the Divisional Round, but the latter's presumed health is a wrench in any perceived gameplan. He remains a better DFS tournament play given the volatility of his outlook, whereas Fournette is the safer of the two in any postseason contests.

A. Dillon - RB

A.J. Dillon (quad) will play in the Conference Championship game against the Buccaneers.

Dillon was injured in the second half of Green Bay's Divisional Round win over the Rams but will be available yet again against Tampa Bay. Involved for six carries prior to injury, the rookie is expected to handle a small share of the team's backfield touches behind both Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams. With Bucs DT Vita Vea surprisingly back in the fold, Dillon (as the clear-cut third option) can be ignored in any two-game DFS slates.

S. Watkins - WR

Sammy Watkins (calf) is questionable for the Conference Championship game against the Bills.

Watkins is expected to play given that he participated in every practice throughout the week. Although he failed to eclipse 65 receiving yards in any game following his two-touchdown performance in Week 1, Watkins was leaned on as the preferred option in last year's Super Bowl run for 14/288/1 over Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson. It could be all for naught if the Bills invite the Chiefs to run the ball with another heavy dose of two-high safeties, but this news at least ensures Watkins is active as the team's No. 2 wide receiver on Sunday.

C. Edwards-Helaire - RB

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (hip) is questionable for the Conference Championship game against Buffalo.

Edwards-Helaire is fully expected to play after being limited for every practice throughout the week. Le'Veon Bell (knee) has been a non-factor but will still likely be sidelined since the veteran was unable to get in any amount of work ahead of Sunday. With Patrick Mahomes officially cleared from the league's protocol and under center, it's entirely possible Edwards-Helaire at least gets reps on passing downs over Darrel Williams. The latter is still expected to lead this backfield in touches Sunday.

Le'Veon Bell (knee) is questionable for the Conference Championship game against Buffalo.

Bell isn't expected to play after being unable to practice throughout the week. With Clyde Edwards-Helaire (hip, questionable) likely back, both Darrel Williams and the rookie will split touches in some manner against Tampa Bay. Williams is our pick to lead this backfield in touches, though Edwards-Helaire could primarily cannibalize The Mentor's workload on passing downs. Even if active, Bell won't make an impact.

Bills WR Gabriel Davis (ankle) is questionable for the Conference Championship game against Kansas City.

Davis fortunately got in a limited session to close the week but was unable to practice until that point. He'll head into Sunday as a true question mark given his limited availability. Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley meanwhile both practiced in full on Friday and were cleared to play. If Davis can't go, gadget wideout Isaiah McKenzie will take his spot in four-wide sets.
