Welcome to the DFS Playbook for NFL Week 5!

For many of us, Week 4 was a tough one. Just go back and look at how the first eight touchdowns of the day were scored. You know it's going to be a rough one when every touchdown scored is done by some random dude who never touches the ball and isn't on anyone's radar. Forget mine....I mean everyone's. It was an uphill climb for those who aren't multi-lineup players who routinely flood the contests with max entries. Remember, that's what you're up against in these big GPP tournaments -- people who don't look at DFS as a game of skill but rather as a form of day-trading almost. They use an algorithm-based lineup generator to create 150 lineups and just throw them into contests without even looking at who the players are in each lineup. I'm not saying this to dissuade you from playing, I'm saying this to enlighten you and help you choose better contests to play. If you're playing one or two lineups, sure, you can throw them into the Milli-Maker, but you'll be just as successful in winning that as you will heading to the grocery store and buying a bunch of lottery scratchers. You want to be smart about your contest selection and stay in the single-entry ones if playing a tournament. The payouts aren't as big, but I'd rather invest $75 in FanDuel's Stiff Arm and have a level playing field against 750 people than throw $9 into the Sunday Million and play against 400,000.

But I digress. We've talked about contest selection on last week's podcast and have been banging the drum on SiriusXM for weeks now. Let's talk Playbook for this week.

As always, I encourage you to go through all of the NFL content from the week. I'm talking about everything like the DFS Position Coachesthe Watch ListGame PreviewsWeekly Match-up ReportSnap CountsTarget AnalysisRed Zone Touches and more. I'm talking about listening to this week's edition of the NFL Podcast and all of the DFS videos provided. Then, get yourself ready to jump into the NFL tools as we start looking at data and how to interpret it, and after all is said iand done....it culminates here in the Playbook. Let's get to it!
