Father’s Day Sunday is one of the best days of the year for baseball and heading out to the ballpark. The afternoon is loaded with a full slate of action on the diamond and many a Dad will enjoy the festivities while connecting with sons and daughters all over the country. To all the Dads out there, Happy Father’s Day from us here at Fantasy Alarm.

Sunday on the Hill

After posting a 6.12 ERA across 32.1 innings in May, Dylan Bundy will look to remain unscathed this month as he heads to the mound against the Marlins in Baltimore. Through 15.0 innings here in June, Bundy has allowed just six hits and five walks alongside 12 strikeouts.

Joe Musgrove will seek to maintain his solid work as he toes the rubber at home versus the Reds. Through four starts for the Pirates so far this season, the 25-year-old righty has worked to a nice 2.16 ERA (3.24 FIP), 1.12 WHIP and 23-to-5 K/BB ratio across 25.0 innings.

Following a 12-day stint on the DL due to a sore thumb, Julio Teherán will return to the bump in Atlanta to square off with the Padres. Teheran’s most recent start came at San Diego back on June 4. That evening, the Friars tagged him for four runs on five hits (3 HR) over 4.0 innings. To make room for Teheran to be activated, the Braves placed Michael Foltynewicz (triceps) on the disabled list.

Aaron Nola will carry his impressive 8-2 record and 2.27 ERA to the mound in Milwaukee. The Philly ace is coming off his third double-digit strikeout effort of the season, as he punched out ten Rockies while giving up only one run on four hits and no walks across 6.2 innings this past Tuesday.

Quick Hitters

Curtis Granderson is slugging a whopping .905 with two homers and two doubles over his last six games. The veteran outfielder is 9-for-27 with five extra-base hits in his career against Sunday’s opposing hurler Tanner Roark .

Edwin Encarnación enters Sunday mired in a 3-for-27 stretch that includes zero extra-base hits and seven strikeouts. A matchup with Jake Odorizzi does not make things look any more encouraging, as Encarnacion is an ugly 6-for-35 versus the Minnesota righty.

Freddy Galvis has gone 6-for-9 with a deep drive over the past two days against Atlanta pitching, and if his career numbers off of Teheran (12-for-35) prove as any indication, he could be an issue for the Braves once again Sunday afternoon.
