It's time to see how the staff at Fantasy Alarm fared as they got together for the 2019 Draft Guide Mock Draft. There were a lot of familiar faces in this draft as well as some of the #FAmily’s newest members. Each put their own spin on the draft and provided their analysis for their picks below. Hopefully you can use this draft to help guide you during the fantasy football draft preparation. So without further ado please see the final draft board below!

Pick 1 - Andy Spiteri - @gasdoc_spit

Andy’s Take - With first pick in PPR it was Saquon Barkley or Christian McCaffrey .  Being at the wheel I had to be concerned about missing out if a run started just after I picked. Thought about two WRs at first turn, but had to take a RB and was happy to see Nick Chubb still there. Quarterbacks went late and I couldn't pass on Brees sitting there to take as my second one.  Depth at WR makes up for lack of superstar.

My Take - Overall I have no problem with this team. If I had one pick I am not a fan of it would be that of D.J. Moore in Round 5. Something about Cam Newton having to learn how to throw again just makes me worried. Austin Hooper in the 10th Round is very nice and Drew Brees in the 12th as your backup QB isn't the worst thing either.

Pick 2 - Edward Raus - @EdwardRaus

Edward’s Take - Drafting out of the "two spot" can be a bit challenging this season, but when given lemons, you must make lemonade. I went with Christian McCaffrey in the first and my "Comeback Player of the Year" choice in Devonta Freeman as my two stud RBs. I then secured their handcuffs in Ito Smith and Jordan Scarlett later in the draft. Dion Lewis doesn’t excite me at all, but he was in a spot where I needed RB depth, and he was "best available.” WR is my weakness. T.Y. Hilton is a big hitter, Tyler Boyd is a proven PPR-guy, and Allen Robinson gets a full, healthy, season for the first time in CHI. But, they all have an injury history. So, only having D.K. Metcalf, my ROTY favorite but unproven in NFL, and Geronimo Allison as backups has me a little worried. A significant injury could have me running to waivers most of the season for WRs.  Good QB/TE depth in Aaron Rodgers /Kirk Cousins and Evan Engram /David Njoku .

My Take - I took CMC last year and it won me a lot of cash last year so I will not hate on the pick of him over the Zeke or Kamara at pick number two. This draft took place prior to the A.J. Green injury so snagging Tyler Boyd in the fourth round also now looks like a steal.  That running back depth after Freeman however, is scary. I am okay with taking one handcuff but right now he has three running backs that you can't even put in your flex unless there is an injury.

Pick 3 - Andrew Cooper - @CoopAFiasco

Andrew’s Take - I was all set to start my draft Alvin Kamara /Todd Gurley before Colby smoked me by taking Gurley one pick before my turn, but I was happy to get Mike Evans as a consolation. The player on my team I’m most excited for is Kerryon Johnson ; Matt Patricia wants to run, Darrell Bevel wants to run, and Matthew Stafford is 8-1 in the nine games where he’s had a 100-yard rusher. The part of the draft I regret the most is taking D’onta Foreman at 118 since David Njoku and Austin Hooper were both there and one of the two teams at the swing already had a TE but they both went anyway. Way she goes.

My Take - Coop is one of the newest members of the FAmily and I don't hate how his draft started but things went south in my opinion with pretty much every pick after David Montgomery outside of Matt Ryan and Trey Burton . Guess time will tell.

Pick 4 - Colby Conway - @colbyrconway

Colby’s Take - I came out the gate hot with three solid RBs and am happy with the trio. However, the tipping point of this team will be the wideouts, as I’m relying heavily on Robert Woods and Chris Godwin to shoulder the load, but Marvin Jones is a steady third option and Keke Coutee could be huge in a PPR format. Tight ends are iffy, too, but with Deshaun Watson as my QB, anything is possible!

My Take – Starting off real strong with three-straight running backs and while those guys can all be studs it left him potentially thin at wide receiver. Expecting a breakout from Chris Godwin ,  and for Robert Woods to maintain his level, if Cooper Kupp comes back and can stay on the field, is a question mark. Luckily, receiver is one of the deepest positions and he can likely find somebody on the waiver wire.

Pick 5 - Matt Selz - @theselzman

Matt’s Take - While the first two RBs weren’t the safest of picks, they do have solid upside based on system and if they are healthy. Travis Kelce in the middle of the second was too hard to pass up knowing what he means in that offense, and with the non-existent suspension for Tyreek Hill keeping his value high. He was also the best WR/TE option on the board. The middle rounds are where the values really started to build with Jordan Howard , Eric Ebron , Courtland Sutton , LeSean McCoy , and Tyrell Williams . Having both Ebron and Kelce strengthens the receiver corps as one can be played in the flex. Overall, I think it’s a solid effort with some nice upside.

My Take - Top three picks work for me, I am not a big fan of the early tight end, but if you are going to do it then Kelce is the guy. I like Calvin Ridley , especially with Julio Jones already banged up. After that I think he is going to need some help. Goff in the 12th round is perfectly okay but the lack of a backup will cause trouble if Goff gets hurt or regresses.

Pick 6 - Steve Pimental - @stevesfantasyad

Steve’s Take - I didn’t set out to draft former teammates Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown , but I’m happy with it. I still think they’re the best players in the league at their respective positions, and their offenses should be good enough. The sixth round seems like the perfect spot for O.J. Howard , Hunter Henry and Evan Engram to come off the board. You’re not missing out on anything good by taking a tight end there.

My Take – I like Jimmy G as much as the next guy but as my lone QB1...eesh. Draft started decently in terms of upside but I have little interest in Bell or Brown this season after the way last year, and this offseason played out for each of them.

Pick 7 - Mike Alexander - @Roto_Wan

Mike’s Take - It was fortunate I wrote this year's Zero-RB post for the Draft Guide since I found myself picking seventh with the first round RB herd thinning fast. I don't mind jumping rank on JuJu Smith-Schuster as he could be inheriting the most valuable role in fantasy football. After that I added plenty of RB darts to mix and match. As always, I'm happy to have waited on QB and landed Kyler Murray late. This squad would be competitive, with a shot at the championship with some RB luck.

My Take – Despite the talk of Zero-RB, I do like the running backs that he went with as we saw Mark Ingram thrive as the RB2 behind Kamara so maybe Murray finds similar success.  He then took Guice who could be the starting back in Washington with just old man Peterson in front of him. If Gurley is being limited, then Henderson is a great snag and of course if Melvin Gordon holds out then you have to like the Ekler snag. I am also a fan of Damien Harris given the injury track record of Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead .

Pick 8 - Howard Bender - @rotobuzzguy

Howard’s Pick - I'm not sure if it's just bad luck or if the fantasy football gods are trying to tell me something, but I've been picking in this six-to-eight range a lot in recent mock drafts. It's an easy spot to just "let the draft come to you" and test out different draft strategies and for this one, I wanted to see what my running backs would look like if, no matter who was available, I went with wide receivers for my first two picks. The field made this easy for me as Davante Adams and Julio Jones were still the top players on my board each time I picked and then I knew it was a matter of pounding the running back position afterwards which I did with four of my next six picks. Overall, the team looks pretty good if Josh Jacobs and Aaron Jones end up being bell-cow running backs, but something tells me I'm going to be investing a lot of early FAAB dollars on the first big RB injury that hits the waiver wire. That's not a death sentence, by any means, just something you have to keep in mind once the season starts.

My Take – I don't want to get fired so everything Howard did here was excecuted perfectly. This team likely goes undefeated.

Pick 9 - Justin Vreeland - @JustinVreeland

Justin’s Pick - Took kind of a weird route with my team. Had I known Leonard Fournette would be there for me in the third I probably would have gone Michael Thomas in the second, but overall, I still like how it turned out outside of my WR core. I think there’s enough upside there for it to be solid.

My Take – Big fan of his running back choices. I had hoped to snag Fournette myself but that was not the case. He then took the top-scoring player in Patrick Mahomes to be the first to snag a QB. His receivers are interesting, I am not a big fan of Mariota as a QB and he took two of the Titans' receivers.

Pick 10 - Dan Servodidio - @dan_servodidio

Dan’s Take - DeAndre Hopkins falling to me at #10 overall was a pleasant surprise as he was the third WR taken and gave me the opportunity to grab a workhorse RB in the second round after starting out with a sure thing for my WR1. I opted to go with Damien Williams at 2.3 over Dalvin Cook , Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb because of the more guaranteed production Williams brings as the lead back in Kansas City. Although I felt great about starting with Williams as my RB1, I knew I wanted to lock down this Chiefs backfield, so I made sure to snag Carlos Hyde as Williams' handcuff in Round 11.  As for my other running backs, I was looking to target lead backs with a clear path to touches in their respective backfields. I feel like I locked down that value with Marlon Mack (3rd round), Lamar Miller (6th) and Peyton Barber (10th). I opted to wait a little on tight end and was extremely happy to get Vance McDonald in Round 7. There's a real chance McDonald could become the Steelers' No. 2 receiving option this year with Antonio Brown gone and some uncertainty behind JuJu Smith-Schuster in the receiving corps.

My Take – This is a very deep team and if Howard doesn't win it all then I think Servo could really contend. Really liked the Marlon Mack pick. He went for his guy in Vance McDonald in Round 7 which was early in terms of ADP rankings but if you believe in a guy then you take him where you want.

Pick 11 - Dan Malin - @RealDANlanta

Dan’s Take - All in all, I'm feeling a little vanilla about my team. Drafting toward the end of the first round, I knew I'd be going with a running back and wide receiver and I'm content with Joe Mixon and Odell Beckham Jr. I was also thrilled to get George Kittle at the end of Round Three. So, I've got a top-10 RB, a top-10 WR, and a top-three TE. But all too often I found myself in a position where guys I had queued up were drafted just a few picks in front of me and I felt like I settled for too many consolation prizes. I was ecstatic to get Cam Newton in the 12th round, but that won't be happening in an actual draft. I think my RB depth was okay but could've done better at WR. I just get the impression this is a middle-of-the-road team and I definitely think this could have gone better.

My Take – Lot of "Boom or Bust" here with players like Drake, Fuller, Newton, Smith and Hunt. The offensive line issues likely have me fading Mixon too but, I also drafted a running back who is holding out so who am I to really judge. As a fellow Patriots fan I appreciated the Josh Gordon snag in Round 15.

Pick 12 - Jon Impemba – @jimpemba777

My Take - I haven’t drafted from the back end of the draft yet, so I wasn’t quite sure where I was going to go when it came to pick 12 but when the time came I figured let’s get crazy and snag Melvin Gordon and hope he and the Chargers can figure something out. This was a Top 5-6 pick prior to the holdout non-sense and now I get him at the back end of the draft. Spun around and took Tyreek Hill at 2.01 and then you play the waiting game. The worst part about drafting at the end is there are soo many picks in between. A lot of the running backs I was hoping to target went right before my third pick with Fournette and Mack among those targets. I am okay with Lindsay, but it wouldn’t shock me if Freeman finally gets a bigger piece.  Stuck with the WR/RB combos and snagged my guy Kenny Golladay who I think could be in for a big year even if the Lions offense is now going to be “run heavy”.  The rest of my draft was a bit hit or miss. I saw a lot of players I like go in the middle of rounds while I was waiting for my turn. Going to definitely need to join the Mock Draft Army some more if I find out I have to pick at the end of some of my home leagues.
