Week 15 is shaping up to be a high scoring one! The Rams shuffle into Seattle on a short week with a new head coach. The Falcons host the dreadful 49ers who let the Jets under the leadership of a rookie QB beat them at home. Then there’s the Bills, who should feast off the winless Browns. It’s safe to say this week offers plenty of appealing stacks to choose from.

Here’s the Red Zone recap:

TARGET MONSTERS:

Usually it’s been Emmanuel Sanders who’s been the target monster this year for the Broncos, but last weekend it was his counterpart Demaryius Thomas who led the league in red zone targets with a season high 7 in one game. He caught four of them, but unfortunately couldn’t haul in a score. The take away here is that it’s possible that the Broncos are shifting away from their run heavy offensive philosophy. Both receivers are viable this week versus the Patriots in Denver.

Kyle Rudolph had five targets Sunday and caught three, including one for a touchdown. Rudolph is probably the only Vikings receiver with weekly touchdown upside and the Colts underwhelming defense should provide him opportunity in Week 15. Seth Roberts of the Raiders also had five red zone targets but just one catch. His volume is likely an anomaly unless Michael Crabtree doesn’t play this week. Malcolm Mitchell on the other hand is no fluke. He had four more red zone looks in Week 14 and converted three, one of which he caught for a touchdown. Mitchell has become a reliable scoring force for Tom Brady in the absence of Rob Gronkowski. The volume may not be as high versus the stout Denver pass defense, but the scoring potential is still very real.

MOST EFFICIENCT:

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Jordy Nelson 3-for-3 in the red zone with two touchdowns. If Nelson isn’t a building block of every one of your DFS lineups on a weekly basis, you’re doing it wrong! LeSean McCoy was also 3-for-3 and will be another great DFS play versus the lowly Browns this week. Don’t let Mike Gillislee’s presence effect your feelings on McCoy, he’s a monster about to go on a rampage in Week 15.

Michael Crabtree, Chris Hogan, Bilal Powell and Jerick McKinnon all caught both of their red zone looks but none scored from that range. Hogan did have a long touchdown and has proven to be a scoring threat, although an inconsistent one. Against the Broncos, I’d be concerned about his value. Bilal Powell on the other hand offer real upside Saturday night versus the Dolphins with Matt Forte banged up.  You’d be foolish to expect the 145 yards he put on the lowly 49ers, but in PPR leagues especially, he’s a viable FLEX at the very least. Crabtree will be limited this week in practice with a finger issue, but he should play making him a must start in season long playoffs against the Chargers.

ONES TO WATCH:

Kenneth Dixon was 1-for-1 with a touchdown in the red zone Monday night and it’s finally looking like this dual threat is about to become an integral part of the Ravens offense. In DFS, his salary is very appealing this week when you consider his dual threat ability. Tyler Eifert may be a weekly lock for a score and he should once again be on your radar versus the Steelers at home this weekend. With Malcolm Floyd officially off the Cardinals’ roster, Larry Fitzgerald and J.J. Nelson will have an uptick in opportunity this weekend versus the Saints by default. It will be all on hands on deck for the Falcons as they look to roll over San Francisco at home. If Julio Jones plays, his limitations will actually favor the status of Taylor Gabriel, Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman. It will be difficult to peg who has the biggest day of the trio, but there should be enough room for all of them to be effective in Week 15 to a certain extent.
