Cade CunninghamOKSTBU900036.5830032.83
The eventual NBA lottery pick returned to the lineup yesterday after missing a game with a sprained ankle and instantly stepped back into his high-usage role for Oklahoma State. The freshman scored 17 points and stuffed the stat sheet for 35 DK as he anchored the Cowboys’ come-from-behind win over West Virginia. He’ll need to be just as good in this tougher matchup vs. Baylor - a team he had success against last week with 24 points and 40 DK. Cunningham is always a top play and tonight's no different.
Ayo DosunmuILRU850038.8850035.77
This slate is stacked with stud guards and Ayo Dosunmu arguably has a higher DFS ceiling than both Cade Cunningham and Jared Butler. The wing is averaging 19 PPG and 38 DK over the last ten games and went off for 22 points and 47 DK in the first matchup vs. Rutgers. Expect Illinois to lean on its elite comfination of Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn tonight in what should be an easy victory. If you’re fading Cunningham/Butler in GPP’s, then Dosunmu should be a priority.
Jared ButlerBUOKST830033.7770030.59
Baylor and one of the best players in the country are back in action tonight - so we should be targeting Jared Butler in all formats. He’s averaging 18 PPG and 32 DK over the last ten games was outstanding in two previous matchups vs. Oklahoma State. Butler scored 22 points in both and put up 36 and 39 DK in those contests. We should expect more of the same tonight as Baylor leans on his scoring and all-around play to pull out the win. He's the sure-thing cash play every time out.
Cameron ThomasLSUMISS830031.44700029.20
The most expensive guard on the late DK slate is Thomas - and he should be popular in all formats. The talented freshman is a walking bucket as he’s scored 20+ points in ten straight games and is locked into 35 DK when he’s scoring at this high rate. The LSU offense leans on his pure scoring ability and that shouldn’t change tonight. There’s no reason to expect Thomas to slow down anytime soon with how hot he’s running.
Marcus ZegarowskiCRECONN760030.05670027.37
With Villanova out of the Big East tournament, tonight’s Creighton-UConn winner can be penciled in as the bracket champ - and Zegarowski will surely be anchoring the Bluejay offense. That’s nothing new for the junior point guard, who’s gone for 36 DK in three of the past four games and is coming off an 18-point outing yesterday vs. Butler. His production could come even easier if UConn’s James Bouknight sits too. He’s the GPP pivot off the above studs.

Mark VitalBUOKST550020.3500019.43
While Baylor’s stud guard trio steals the DFS spotlight, Mark Vital continues to be a great bargain with his all-around production in a key role for the Bears. Though he’s listed as a guard, Vital plays much bigger than his height and is locked into a defensive-stopper role where he’s guarding both opposing bigs and guards with defensive versatility. That usually gives him plenty of DFS value with ancillary stats and guaranteed playing time compared to Baylor’s other role players. Case in point: he had 26 DK yesterday despite scoring just two points. Plus, he had 35 DK in an earlier matchup vs. Oklahoma State where he went off for 19 points. The floor/upside combo is very good for a 5k player.
Boogie EllisMEMUCF540016.61
A DK only play here on the late slate - and it comes from the 10 pm ET game to cap off the night! Memphis will likely be without Alex Lomax tonight as the junior has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. In his absence, Ellis has stepped into a bigger offensive role with double-digit shot attempts in each of the past three outings and 34, 33 and 20 DK in those games. His shooting and offensive game is much more needed with Lomax out and that should continue tonight. Ellis is a solid salary-saver as your late night hammer.
M.J. WalkerFSUUNC530022.62500020.23
Though Scottie Barnes and RaiQuan Gray are the top targets for Florida State, there’s still value in the Seminoles’ secondary options. Both Anthony Polite and M.J. Walker are too cheap in the 5k range to not consider - especially in this high-total matchup vs. North Carolina. Though Walker has been a bit inconsistent offensively in recent games, he’s still FSU’s best three-point shooter and senior leader - and he’ll be ready to put up numbers today. He went off for 21 points in the first meeting vs. UNC and would smash value if he does that again here.
Jonathan DavisWISCIOWA460016.99450016.05
With Trice and Potter struggling at times for Wisconsin, it’s needed the secondary players to step up - and Davis is one Badger who’s been more reliable as an offensive playmaker. He was solid yesterday with 10 points scored and 15 DK - and was good against Iowa in the previous game with 11 points and 26 DK. He’s now had two decent outings vs. Iowa and should be a solid bargain today in the same matchup in a high-scoring game.
Reece BeekmanUVAGT420015.4440014.49
Who else caught Beekman hitting the game-winning three for Virginia yesterday? Though those were his only points of the game, the UVA guard was still a solid DFS play with his ancillary stats - putting up 16 DK and returning about 4x production. At bargain prices once again, we can look toward Beekman yet again as he provides just enough value and salary-savings. Plus, he averaged 20 DK over two games vs. Georgia Tech during the regular season - which we’d gladly take at 4k prices.

Other Guards to Consider

  • Moses Moody - Arkansas ($8,200 DK / $7,100 FD)

  • Dru Smith - Mizzouri ($7,600 DK / $6,900 FD)

  • Marcus Garrett - Kansas ($7,000 DK / $6,100 FD)

  • Scottie Barnes - Florida State ($6,600 DK / $6,000 FD)

  • Mitch Ballock - Creighton ($5,600 DK / $4,900 FD)

  • Jarkel Joiner - Ole Miss ($5,400 DK / $4,900 FD)

  • Dante Harris - Georgetown ($5,200 DK Only)

  • Anthony Polite - Florida State ($5,000 DK / $4,900 FD)

  • RJ Davis - North Carolina ($4,800 DK / $4,200 FD)

  • Matthew Mayer - Baylor ($3,600 DK / $4,500 FD)

Luka GarzaIOWAWISC1030042.16900039.61
Another DFS slate and another night where Luka Garza is the price king. No surprise here as the Iowa big man boasts the highest fantasy ceiling of anyone in the country. Garza has dominated this matchup vs. Wisconsin in the two previous meetings this season - scoring 30 points and 47 DK in the first and then 21 points and 53 DK in the second. We should expect another dominant performance tonight - and he could see even more usage and shot volume with Joe Wieskamp possibly out. Don’t think twice with Garza as fading him is usually a mistake - especially on the late DK slate with less studs in play.
Trendon WatfordLSUMISS850032.89780030.48
LSU always plays in high-scoring games with DFS production across the board - so Watford is firmly in play as the big man in the Tigers’ offense. He’s put up 34 DK in five of the last six games and was excellent vs. Ole Miss in the first matchup when he had 21 points and 37 DK. While Cam Thomas is LSU’s top scorer, Watford plays a nice complement and will be important in this matchup as the best big in the game. If you’re fading Garza, then Watford is the pivot - and he's the GPP target if doing so.
Kofi CockburnILRU790032.4770030.13
Ideally, Illinois runs through Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn when at its best - and the big man should feast on this matchup vs. Rutgers. He was dominant previously vs. RU when he had 17 points, 12 rebounds and 34 DK and took advantage of a soft individual matchup down low. Though his DFS production has been a bit down lately, we should expect a bounce back tonight with the Illini opening up Big Ten tournament play - and the matchup is one that’s hard to ignore.
RaiQuan GrayFSUUNC770028.46680026.45
One of the highest totals on the slate is this FSU-UNC matchup - so we should naturally look at the best players from both sides. For the Seminoles, Gray is striving in their point-forward role and it’s turned him into a DFS stud more often than not. He’s put up 41, 34 and 35 DK in three of the last four games as he stuffs the stat sheet in all areas with a high fantasy floor. In two games vs. UNC this year, he’s averaging 18 PPG and 36 DK - so expect more of the same tonight.
Micah PotterWISCIOWA600024.2580022.37
If Potter is going to be priced at the 6k mark, then he’s the ideal upside GPP play who can smash value - especially in a higher-scoring matchup vs. Iowa. He’s been excellent two other times vs. Iowa when he scored 23 points in both outings with 42 and 31 DK, respectively. The DFS sites are pricing him down because of a dud performance yesterday - but this is a bounce back spot for the Wisconsin big man as he’s had success vs. the poor defense of Luka Garza twice before.

Adama SanogoCONNSHU540016.34450015.37
If James Bouknight is out (or limited) tonight, expect Sanogo to take on a bigger offensive role. Yes, he plays a much different position than his teammate - but Sanogo can easily take over a game if he stays out of foul trouble and asserts his dominance down low. UConn will need him to do that vs. Creighton if Bouknight is sidelined. He’s shown flashes of that talent recently - with 16 points and 34 DK vs. Seton Hall and a double-double and 31 DK vs. Georgetown in the past few games. Getting that type of production at these prices would really help in GPP.
Keegan MurrayIOWAWISC520018.08470017.43
A key injury tonight will be whether or not Joe Wieskamp plays for Iowa. The senior wing rolled his ankle last time out and is a big question mark for tonight’s outing. If he’s out or limited (which seems likely), expect Murray to step up in a bigger offensive role - just as he did in that previous game. Coincidentally it was against Wisconsin too, and he had 13 points and 27 DK in a key role with Wieskamp leaving early. In a high total game, getting Murray in the 5k range is a nice bargain for 4x production in cash or GPP.
Kobe BrownMIZZARK490018.3450016.99
Finding cheap pieces in a high-scoring game is always a safe move in DFS - and Brown is in that spot yet again tonight. We mentioned him in the playbook yesterday and he didn’t disappoint with 16 points, a stuffed stat sheet and 32 DK vs. Georgia. He was more productive than traditional big Jeremiah Tilmon and that could easily be the case again here vs. Arkansas - which will be another fast-paced environment that’s better suited for Brown’s skill set than Tilmon. He’s still way too cheap at under 5k on both sites and is perfectly fine in cash as long as that’s the case.
Aleem FordWISCIOWA420018.21450016.80
Wisconsin continues to provide DFS value and it’s a spot we can go to again with this faster-paced, high-scoring matchup vs. Iowa. Aleem Ford led the Badgers in scoring yesterday vs. PSU when he had 17 points and 22 DK en route to a narrow victory. Ford will be needed as an offensive catalyst again tonight if Wisconsin wants to pull out the win vs. Iowa. He brings a different athleticism to the wing/forward position than Micah Potter, Tyler Wahl or Nate Reuvers - and he could present another mismatch tonight.
Mitch LightfootKUUT41008.3937007.55
Though Lightfoot didn’t start yesterday, he clearly saw more playing time with a bigger role in David McCormack’s absence. The KU big man logged 20 minutes, scored 11 points and put up 17 DK - arguably his best statistical game all year. The matchup vs. Oklahoma didn’t call for his size as much as tonight will vs. Texas trio of talented centers. Lightfoot will likely play more than 20 minutes if he stays out of foul trouble - and he’s still way too cheap on both sites for his increase in playing time and ancillary stats.
