Cade CunninghamOKSTTT860035.65820032.18
On this small slate, Cunningham is in a tier by himself at the guard position and he should be a cash game staple. The potential #1 NBA Draft pick is a stud in real life and in DFS with heavy usage, shot volume and overall stat production for Oklahoma State. He’s put up 45 DK points in two of the last three games and is usually safe for 30 or more DFS points with his consistent ancillary stats and high offensive role. We should expect nothing different tonight as Cunningham put up 35 DK in the first meeting vs. Texas Tech. The freshman will also benefit from playing at home - where he’s average 39 DK per game compared to 32 DK on the road.
Chris DuarteOREUSC760033.05800030.30
If you fade off Cade Cunningham in GPP’s, then Duarte is the high-upside play to pay up for at guard. The senior has the potential to put up 35-40 DK points in any given game with his high floor of ancillary stats combined with heavy offensive involvement. His subpar 23 DK on Saturday isn’t ideal, but Duarte had 35 DK the game prior in a tough matchup vs. Colorado. We should expect him to bounce back tonight with Oregon needing a big win over USC to improve its Tournament resume.
Mac McClungTTOKST690026.64740024.60
If you’ve played CBB DFS this season, you know that fading McClung is always a dangerous strategy. He has the nightly potential to go off for 30 points scored and 35+ DK points with an offensive skill set that rivals anyone in the country. The Tech offense usually centers around McClung’s playmaking ability and he’ll see a heavy shot volume with the ball in his hands on almost every possession. That high involvement puts him firmly in play for all formats on this small slate. He scored 21 real points in the first meeting vs. Oklahoma State and we could easily see a replication of that performance with the upside for more.
Buddy BoeheimSYRDUKE650025.84680023.66
Among Syracuse’s regulars, Boeheim is second in shot volume and usage rate during conference play - trailing only Alan Griffin. Boeheim’s three-point shooting also gives him a high ceiling in any given game if he gets hot from deep. We saw exactly that on Saturday when he went off for 29 points scored and 41 DK on 6-for-10 shooting from three-point range. That upside puts Boeheim firmly in play on tonight’s short slate - and his cash value is higher than most at guard because of ‘Cuse’s very short rotation where the starters play heavy minutes.

Jordan GoldwireDUKESYR570020.71480019.62
There aren’t many safe cash game plays on this small slate, but Goldwire might be the most consistent in this 5k range on both sites. The senior doesn’t start, but he plays starter-level minutes in Duke’s backcourt as the team’s best on-ball defender. He doesn’t do much scoring-wise, but his ancillary stats in every other category keep his DFS floor fairly safe every time out. The Blue Devils will need his experience and defense in tonight’s matchup and we can count on about 20 DK points from him in cash. He’s the safest among Duke’s guards while DJ Steward and Jeremy Roach are more GPP options.
Terrence Shannon Jr.TTOKST470022.9540021.41
Honestly, it’s really surprising to see Shannon priced this low after he was regularly in the 6-7k range just a month ago. The reason for the big discount is because he’s put up less than 10 DK with fewer than 20 minutes played in two of the last three games. Still, Shannon had 22 DK in two other games this past month and went off 41 and 32 DK in back-to-back outings prior. His regressed playing time lately is certainly worrisome - but he’s way too cheap to not take a chance in GPP’s as he could easily 5x these price tags. Shannon had 24 DK in the first meeting vs. Oklahoma State and Tech will likely need his versatile size again in tonight’s matchup.
Kadary RichmondSYRDUKE430019.4510018.38
Syracuse usually just plays a six-man rotation with only one reserve getting worthwhile minutes every game. Richmond is that lone bench player and he even sometimes plays more minutes than starter Joseph Girard in the Orange backcourt. He’s put up at least 15 DK points in four of the last five games and does just enough with ancillary stats to have a solid DFS floor. There are more GPP plays than cash in the value range on this small slate - but Richmond is one of the few bargains we can trust. He’s a better play on DK with the notable discount.
Ethan AndersonUSCORE410013460011.68
We’ve mentioned Ethan Anderson as a value play numerous times in recent weeks - and he’ll continue being a bargain if he remains sub 5k on both sites. The sophomore comes off the bench but he plays starter-level minutes as the lead point guard at times. Anderson began the year as the Trojans’ starting PG before a mid-season injury halted that run. Since returning from injury, though, Anderson has carved out a solid reserve role and his DFS value is higher than you’d think with his assists and ancillary stats. His ball-handling will be crucial tonight against a Ducks’ defense that will try to force the ball out of Evan Mobley’s hands.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Kevin McCullar - Texas Tech ($6,800 DK / $6,600 FD)

  • Tahj Eaddy - USC ($6,600 DK / $6,200 FD)

  • Kyler Edwards - Texas Tech ($6,400 DK / $5,300 FD)

  • DJ Steward - Duke ($6,100 DK / $6,100 FD)

  • Avery Anderson III - Oklahoma State ($5,600 DK / $5,200 FD)

  • Will Richardson - Oregon ($5,100 DK / $5,600 FD)

  • Jeremy Roach - Duke ($4,900 DK / $4,500 FD)

Evan MobleyUSCORE980039.43880036.88
While Cade Cunningham is the guard headliner tonight, Evan Mobley is in a tier by himself at forward. The USC freshman might end up being the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft as he’s dominating almost every game with the Trojans leading the Pac-12. In the last ten games, he’s put up at least 32 DK each time and he’s usually in the 40-50 DK range with his elite post scoring, rebounding and shot-blocking combination. He’s put up 51, 53 and 43 DK in the last three games with at least 20 points scored and three blocks in each. Expect another dominant performance tonight as USC leans on him down low.
Matthew HurtDUKESYR790031.36790029.42
Hurt was already a core part of Duke’s offense, but he’s even more integral now with Jalen Johnson gone. The sophomore has at least 31 DK and 22 points scored in three straight games and he’s back to being a consistent cash play in the expensive forward range. We can count on him being heavily involved with a high shot volume and offensive role tonight in a pace-boost matchup. As Duke’s best three-point shooter, Hurt has even more value against a Syracuse zone defense that encourages the deep ball for opposing teams. Mobley might have the higher floor and ceiling, but Hurt is perfectly fine in all formats.
Quincy GuerrierSYRDUKE750032.88780031.22
Although he’s just 6-foot-7, Guerrier is Syracuse’s best rebounder and he’s a nightly double-double threat with his skills on the glass. When at his best on both offense and defense, Guerrier’s DFS ceiling is in the 35+ DK range - and his cash floor is fairly safe too with 30 or more DK points in three straight games now. Duke’s defense tends to allow big games from opposing forwards who can take advantage of the interior matchup - and that’s even more evident now that Jalen Johnson’s size and shot-blocking are gone. In GPP’s, Guerrier is the target if you fade Mobley/Hurt.
Eugene OmoruyiOREUSC700030.21720027.66
During conference play, Omouryi leads Oregon in usage rate and shot volume as he’s become a go-to scorer more often than not. That high involvement offensively will keep his DFS floor fairly safe as well. Omoruyi is averaging 30 DK over the last ten games as he gets it done with real points scored, rebounds and defensive stats. His emergence as one of the more versatile players in the Pac-12 is a big reason why Oregon should be dangerous come Tournament time. Eric Williams’ return may take some production away from Omoruyi - but they were both valuable for DFS at the same time earlier in the season. This is an ideal GPP play if you fade Mobley/Hurt.

Marcus Santos-SilvaTTOKST510020.73600019.56
Without many trustworthy value plays on this small slate, Santos-Silva stands out in the cheaper forward range. Although he’s not as consistent offensively or playing time-wise as we’d like, the 6-foot-7 senior is still the biggest body in Tech’s rotation and his size should be needed tonight. He just put up 24 DK on Saturday vs. Kansas and has had 20 or more DK in five of the last eight games. Santos-Silva had 21 DK in the first matchup vs. OK State - and chances are we see him right in that range tonight. He’s a much better play on DK than on FD for the discount - and is just cheap enough to play in cash.
Mark WilliamsDUKESYR490011.35540010.98
It seemed like Williams was poised to become a big part of Duke’s offense following Jalen Johnson’s departure - but it’s been a game-to-game basis so far. Although the 7-foot freshman has the starting center job locked down, that hasn’t always resulted in regular minutes or DFS production. He had 29 and 23 DK points in the games before and after Johnson left, but then he only played seven minutes with single-digit DK points on Saturday. It’s likely that reduced playing time was because of the tougher matchup vs. Virginia where the Blue Devils needed more guard play than a big man. Expect a bounceback game from Williams tonight - but he’s just a GPP play until we see more consistent production.
Jaemyn BrakefieldDUKESYR470010.77350010.16
Brakefield has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Jalen Johnson’s departure from Duke’s rotation. In the two games since his former teammate left, Brakefield has put up 22 and 27 DK points with an uptick in playing time and overall role/stats on both offense and defense. The freshman was a non-factor for the Blue Devils as recently as two weeks ago - but that’s all changed now with Johnson gone. If Brakefield keeps up his improved play, this may be the cheapest we get him at on either site for the rest of the season. He's the cash value play from Duke's frontcourt while Williams is GPP.
