Top Guards
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Marcus CarrMINNWISC930040.2
If playing on DK, the early Minnesota game is weirdly thrown onto the main slate and it makes stud PG Marcus Carr a top play overall. This slate does not have stud guards like most nights - and Carr is in a tier by himself with an expensive price tag indicating just that. The junior has the potential to go off for 30 real points and 40-50 DK points in any given night and there’s a legit chance he does that today. However, Carr’s very high salary compared to other top guards on this slate makes him a GPP option - especially in a paced-down matchup vs. Wisconsin. Still, the ceilis is always there for one of the most dynamic scorers in the country.
Chris DuarteORECAL810031.21720028.61
With Oregon still adapting to life without last year’s stud point guard Payton Pritchard, it’s Duarte who’s stepped into a bigger playmaking role for the Ducks this season. The senior has put up 30+ DK points in five of seven games to begin the year and he’s been a go-to scorer in tighter games. With production in all stat categories, his DFS floor is usually pretty safe even if he’s not shooting well. There’s upside for him to light it up in this matchup - Cal does not defend the perimeter well and Duarte is Oregon’s best three-point shooter, hitting at a 42% clip.
James AkinjoAZUW780026.88630024.61
Following his scoring outburst of 22 real points and 42 DK points, Akinjo is now priced up - although he’s still a bargain on FD. The Georgetown transfer now runs the point for Arizona and that lead ball-handler role keeps his DFS value pretty safe with upside for more once he gets hot shooting-wise like last game. He’s safe for 25-30 DK points and should have no problem putting up stats vs. a weak Washington team. On DK, it’s more a GPP play - but Akinjo is too cheap on FD for cash games.
LJ FigueroaORECAL660023.96570022.85
It’s taken a bit longer for Figueroa to return to the stud-level DFS production we got used to when he was at St. John’s last year. With notably more talent on Oregon’s roster, the senior hasn't been the same usage king or slam dunk DFS play - but that might be changing. Figueroa finally entered the starting rotation last game and he should stick there with center N’Faly Dante out for the year. Although he’s more of a wing player, Figueroa will surely be needed to replace the production and minutes of Dante - and the experience and talent of the former should start to take over now with Pac-12 play opening up. He’s way too underpriced on both sites for how good he was last season and the daily 30-40 DK point upside he possesses. We probably won’t see Figueroa priced this low for the rest of the season.

Darryl MorsellMDMICH520021.42590020.11
Maryland has been shuffling around its starting lineups all season, but Morsell is one of the core rotation players whether he's starting or coming off the bench. His steady playing time and production across all stat categories gives him a safe floor for cash games - and one of the most consistent DFS options for the Terps. He’s put up 20 or more DK points in all but one game so far and his DK price is now low enough to where he’s actually a bargain.
Johnny JuzangUCLAUTAH500017490016.03
As Juzang works his way back from a foot injury, his minutes have been increasing with each passing game as he becomes a bigger part of UCLA’s identity. The Kentucky transfer logged a season-high 31 minutes and put up 22 DK points vs. Ohio State last game - and he’s now started and taken double-digit shots in both of the last two games. Furthermore, his usage rate has been about 25% in these last two outings as he’s been more of an offensive playmaker and lead ball-handler for UCLA. That shouldn’t change with the Bruins opening up Pac-12 play tonight and Juzang clearly being one of their best players. He’s still too cheap on both sites and his salary will only go up from here.
Isaiah WhiteUSCUC460014.54400013.70
With USC starting point guard Ethan Anderson still out, look for Isaiah White to start yet again in his absence - making him a great salary-saver with the extended playing time and bigger role. The 6-foot-7 senior isn’t a like-for-like replacement for Anderson, but he can play on the wing and allow Drew Peterson to move over to the PG spot. In the last two games with Anderson out, White has put up 26 and 18 DK points with more steady DFS production and minutes. He’s a great cash value with the increased role - and should crack the starting lineup once again.

Evan MobleyUSCUC950038.58840036.15
On a slate without many top-tier guards, Mobley may end up being chalkier than normal as arguably the best player in action tonight. There’s enough value for us to easily fit in his expensive salaries as well. The 7-foot freshman big man is a nightly threat to put up a double-double with 3-4 blocks - and his consistent production as USC’s go-to scorer in the paint keeps his DFS floor regularly high too. In his two toughest non-con games so far, Mobley put up 36 and 39 DK points vs. BYU and UConn, respectively. Expect him to anchor your cash lineups with a dominant effort vs. Colorado to begin Pac-12 play.
Hunter DickinsonMICHMD840031.04750029.26
Dickinson has arguably been Michigan’s best player all year, but his DFS value is now much safer with starting center Austin Davis out indefinitely. Dickinson was already leading the Wolverines in offensive usage rate and shot volume despite coming off the bench. Now he’s moved into the starting lineup the last two games with Davis out - and he’s been even better DFS-wise with a higher floor and more steady playing time. In those two games against Nebraska and Penn State, the 7-foot-1 freshman put up 35 DK points both times and was dominant in the paint both times as a shot-blocker, rebounder and post scorer. He should have his way once again vs. an undersized Maryland frontcourt. Plus, this is a return home for the Hyattsville, MD native - so keep that in mind if you like non-basketball narratives.
Azuolas TubelisAZUW670017.91590016.65
Tubelis has shown flashes of upside this season, but we’re still waiting for some consistently good DFS outings to fully trust him in cash. In GPP’s, though, he’s a great play with a true breakout on the way and possibly coming tonight in a favorable matchup. Washington is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country and they do not have the interior talent to match up with Tubelis’ skillset. The 6-foot-11, 245-pound freshman from Lithuania can be a force in the post as a scorer and rebounder - and this is the matchup where can put up 30+ DK points with all-around stats.
Micah PotterWISCMINN640024.78
In the early game on DK’s slate, the Wisconsin side is one to target in a major pace-boost spot and the Badgers wanting to bounce back from the recent loss to Maryland. In that outing, Potter had one of his worst games of the year with just four points scored and 16 DK points. That’s a far cry from the 25-30 DK points we’re used to from Wisconsin’s versatile big man - and he should perform better statistically in an uptempo matchup. Plus, we’re getting a slight discount from his former salary after that latest dud outing. This is a good GPP play with people likely staying away.

Andre KellyCALORE520018.33460017.61
With Grant Anticevich likely out again, expect Andre Kelly to continue to benefit and be a solid cash value with a still-too-cheap price tag. Kelly has moved back into the starting lineup the last two games with Anticevich out and he’s put up 19 and 25 DK points, respectively, with the expanded role and playing time. He had been shuffling between the bench and starting lineup, but Anticevich’s absence allows him to be the team’s clear top rebounder. Lars Thiemann is also a big value with his increased role in the frontcourt.
Cody RileyUCLAUTAH490018.32480016.64
UCLA’s frontcourt duo of Cody Riley and Jalen Hill should dominate tonight and both are squarely in play. The pair should feast inside against a poor rebounding team in Utah and either (or both) could end up with a double-double. Hill is a good bargain on DK too, but his higher FD price makes him a GPP play. As for Riley, the junior starts over Hill right now and he’s put up 20 DK points easily in the right matchups - which is tonight vs. Utah. If he can stay out of foul trouble and take advantage of his favorable situation, Riley is a great cheap play.
Chandler LawsonORECAL450012.43460011.53
Oregon will unfortunately have to make due without starting center N’Faly Dante for the rest of the season - and it should make Lawson an immediate value starting tonight. The Ducks have played one game without Dante so far, and Lawson saw a season-high 23 minutes with a solid 15 DK points in the extended playing time. He should play a big role in Oregon’s frontcourt rotation and might even enter the starting lineup for some games. The sophomore started 12 games late last season and his 6-foot-8 frame is the team’s tallest now with Dante out. He’s too cheap on both sites and should be popular in cash.
