Marcus CarrMINNIOWA900040.28850037.90
This Iowa-Minnesota game is definitely one to target on this short slate with the highest total and pace by a big margin. The Golden Gophers’ best option by far is stud point guard Marcus Carr, who showed off his 50+ DK point upside last time out vs. Saint Louis. His stat-stuffing production and nightly threat to score 20-30 real points or more makes him a top target on any slate he’s on. The GPP upside is always there and his 29% usage rate and consistently high shot volume will keep his floor solid as well. You can stack Carr and Luka Garza in the same lineup and feel good about cash games.
Joe WieskampIOWAMINN820029.66690027.58
Although Luka Garza is the headliner for Iowa, Wieskamp is the Hawkeyes’ second-best player who’d probably be the go-to scorer for many teams across the country. The junior wing started the year slow but his DFS price tag has now risen appropriately with a recent string of good outings. In particular, Wieskamp put up 44 and 36 DK points in the last two games in Iowa’s two toughest games this season. Yes, Garza is the top target on this team and the #1 offensive option - but Wieskamp is a great secondary scorer who should thrive in this uptempo matchup with Minnesota that could easily come down to the guard play. For the price differential, he’s better on FD for cash - but in play on both sites for all formats on this short slate.
Dalano BantonNEBMICH790037.12700032.60
If you think Wieskamp is a bit too overpriced for cash games, then Banton is your guy in this high-end price range. His DFS floor is usually high in his point-forward role on Nebraska’s offense that allows him to rack up real points, rebounds, assists and steals every game. You can reasonably expect 30 DK points or more with high involvement in every stat category in a unique positional role for college basketball standards. Against Michigan’s tougher defense, Banton might have to do even more in all areas if Nebraska wants to keep it close.

Chaundee Brown Jr.MICHNEB510018.96590020.38
The Michigan offense should be one to target on this slate with their high implied team total and a paced-up matchup vs. Nebraska. The only issue is that so many of the Wolverines are priced a bit higher than they should right now with pretty even DFS production across the main role players. One of the cheapest among them, though, is Brown - who has the upside to 5x his price tags in any given game. The Wake Forest transfer comes off the bench for Michigan, but he’s used in a sixth-man, offensive-minded role more so than most reserve players in college basketball. Brown’s 26% shot volume when he’s on the court is the team’s second-highest - behind center Hunter Dickinson - and he’s the Wolverines’ best three-point shooter at 44% so far. He can easily get hot for multiple made deep shots and return value here with some ancillary stats thrown in.
Jordan BohannonIOWAMINN500018.94480016.60
Bohannon is the name featured here, but he’s more of a placeholder to say that all of Iowa’s secondary players - not named Luka Garza or Joe Wieskamp - are way too cheap on this slate. As mentioned, this matchup with Minnesota is by far the highest-scoring and fastest-paced of these four games and all of Bohannon, Connor McCaffrey, CJ Fredrick and Joe Toussaint offer cheap ways to get exposure to the Hawkeyes. With all of them being sub-5k on both sites, you can easily fit one or two in the same GPP lineups if you’d like. Bohannon has the highest upside if he gets hot from three-point range.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Eli Brooks - Michigan ($5,400 DK / $5,900 FD)

  • Brandon Newman - Purdue ($5,300 DK / $6,000 FD)

Luka GarzaIOWAMINN1020048.47890045.70
As arguably the best player and top overall DFS stud in college hoops this season, Garza needs to be strongly considered on every slate Iowa is on - and especially today with only four games. Despite the expensive price tags, he should be locked into cash games on both sites and will be popular in GPP’s as well on this short slate. If you’ve been playing DFS CBB this year, you know about Garza’s high floor production with tons of upside too. That’s even more evident today in the highest-scoring, fastest-paced game on the slate by a big margin. Don’t overthink it!
Trevion WilliamsPURMD770031.53770029.38
If you’re not going with Garza in cash or GPP because of the insanely high price tag, Williams is the next-best option at forward and he’ll cost you considerably less - especially on DK. The argument for Williams is a simple one: he’s statistically one of the best players in the country when he’s on the floor and has a DFS ceiling of 50+ when he’s at his best. With a whopping 34% usage rate and 35% shots share, there’s no denying that Purdue’s offense revolves around him when he’s on the court. The only issue, though, is the limited amount of minutes we usually see with Williams being a risk to get into foul trouble or with the Boilermakers to play smaller. In this matchup with Maryland, though, he should dominate one of the smaller frontcourts in the Big Ten and is a legit threat to post a 20-and-10 double-double.
Hunter DickinsonMICHNEB760030.42710029.13
Maybe Michigan fans can answer this question - how did it take an injury for Hunter Dickinson to finally crack the starting rotation? The Wolverines had been starting senior center Austin Davis over Dickinson for the first five games but the latter has now moved into a more prominent role with Davis out indefinitely with a foot injury. Even before the injury, though, Dickinson had been playing 25 minutes or so every game off the bench - more than Davis - and leads the team in offensive usage rate and shot volume when he’s on the court. With Davis out last game, Dickinson started and subsequently played a season-high 27 minutes with 35 DK points. He should put up similar numbers while dominating the post vs. Nebraska today and makes for a great pivot off Williams.

Isaiah IhnenMINNIOWA470013.38520012.27
Despite Ihnen heading back to the bench last game, he’s still a viable DFS play - and a fairly affordable one as well. The sophomore logged 27 minutes and put up 29 DK points with a double-double and three blocks - which was a notably better performance than starter Brandon Johnson. Ihnen recently started two games when Johnson was nursing an injury, but it’s encouraging to see him still have a solid role with legit playing time even with Johnson back in the starting lineup. Ihnen is one of the best rebounders for Minnesota and that alone should help him rack up DFS value in this fast-paced matchup with tons of shots going up vs. Iowa. Plus, the Gophers will need Ihnen at the five in smaller lineups when Liam Robbins inevitably gets into foul trouble vs. Luka Garza.
Mason GillisPURMD400012.97410011.88
Gillis’ DFS production doesn’t jump off the page, but it’s crazy to see a starter priced this low on both sites. The freshman has now started the last four games and is seeing a lot more playing time and involvement than previous starter Aaron Wheeler - who is now coming off the bench behind Gillis. He just logged a season-high in minutes (30) last game and recently put up 26 DK points with 12 points and nine boards last weekend. Gillis is just too cheap for someone who starts for a team with a short rotation - and he should be good for at least 3x or higher in cash games.
Brandon Johns Jr.MICHNEB360011.75390010.68
With starting center Austin Davis out indefinitely, we should begin to see Brandon Johns get more and more playing time as the main backup to Hunter Dickinson. In the most recent game - and the first without Davis - Johns only played 14 minutes in a game that Dickinson dominated. Still, the upside is there for Johns to eventually play 15-20 minutes with 20 DK points if his teammate gets into any foul trouble or opposing teams go with smaller lineups. Any of those things could happen today and it makes Johns a great cheap dart in GPP’s at sub-4k.

Other Forwards to Consider:

  • Aaron Henry - Michigan State ($8,000 DK / $7,200 FD)

  • Micah Potter - Wisconsin ($6,300 DK / $6,500 FD)

  • Aleem Ford - Wisconsin ($5,300 DK / $5,900 FD)

  • Jack Nunge - Iowa ($5,000 DK / $5,900 FD)

  • Malik Hall - Michigan State ($4,800 DK / $5,900 FD)

  • Yvan Ouedraogo - Nebraska ($4,500 DK / $4,900 FD)
