Trevor LawrenceCLEMVT920029.61
Well, it seems the long layoff for Trevor Lawrence didn’t affect him (or the team) much. After not seeing the field for a month due to his own COVID absences and off weeks for Clemson, Lawrence simply came back and threw for 403 yards and two scores with a 70% completion rate against Pittsburgh last week. He should have no problem doing the same against a subpar Virginia Tech pass defense that’s allowing a ton of yardage and points every week. The only question with Lawrence - as is the case in most games - is if he’ll put up enough DFS production in a likely blowout win with Clemson also having a strong run game with Travis Etienne. It’s a gamble every week, but Lawrence will always provide a strong floor for cash games if you can fit his salary in.
Mac JonesBAMALSU850027.35
Welcome to the chalk QB of this night slate. For some reason, DK has kept Mac Jones fairly affordable despite him coming off a 35 DK point performance and now facing a horrendous LSU pass defense that’s the worst on the slate. It’s a smash spot for Jones, who should throw all over a Tigers defense that’s allowing over 300 passing yards and multiple pass TDs per game this season. Jones just tore up Auburn for five TDs and 300+ yards and he could easily replicate those numbers - or better - in a better matchup tonight. With him being so much cheaper than Lawrence and other top-tier QBs on this slate, expect Jones to be popular in cash games.
Chase GarbersCALORE650018.77
The mid-to-lower price range of QBs to target for your superflex is admittedly tough to navigate tonight. Garbers is one potential source of value as he’ll face an Oregon defense that’s allowed opposing offenses to score plenty - giving up 41 points to Oregon State last week and 35 to UCLA the week before. This game has a high total with Cal as decent-sized underdogs - meaning we should see plenty of passing volume from Garbers as he tries to keep pace on the scoreboard with the Ducks. We saw a similar scenario two weeks ago when Garbers threw it 42 times for 300+ yards and three TDs for an attractive 26 DK points. We’d gladly take that at this price point for a superflex.
Terry WilsonUKSCAR560015.73
Anyone like to gamble? Well, you are playing CFB DFS...so why not roll the dice with Terry Wilson as your cheap superflex? The Kentucky dual-threat has been horrendous lately - with single-digit DFS points in three of the last four games - but this should be a bounce back spot for him. Wilson will face a bad South Carolina defense that’s allowing 35 PPG and doesn’t defend either the pass or run well at all. Coincidentally, Wilson has legit rushing upside to pair with his passing skills in the right matchups - and this is clearly it with UK being double-digit favorites for the first time in a while. The recent game logs may look ugly, but we’ve seen Wilson put up 20-30 DK points or more when he and the Kentucky offense is clicking - and he’s worth a GPP flier at this very affordable salary.

Also Consider:

  • Spencer Rattler - Oklahoma ($9,400) - GPP
  • D’Eriq King - Miami FL ($8,900) - GPP/Cash
  • Tyler Shough - Oregon ($8,700) - GPP/Cash
  • Sam Noyer - Colorado ($7,600) - GPP/Cash
  • Charlie Brewer - Baylor ($7,000) - GPP

Running Backs

Rhamondre StevensonOUBAY900030.3
Ever since Stevenson returned from suspension, he’s turned into a workhorse RB for an Oklahoma offense that’s lighting up the scoreboard with 41 or more points in three straight games. He’s a bruising runner who gives the Sooners a completely different look with a much more versatile and physical skill set than previous starters T.J. Pledger or Seth McGowan. After racking up 100 total yards and three TDs in his first game back, Stevenson has put up 164 and 195 total yards in back-to-back games with a healthy amount of touches as a ball-carrier and receiver out of the backfield. Oklahoma should continue riding him with how well he’s playing and this expensive price tag is certainly warranted. He can be used in cash or GPP on this slate with a high floor and ceiling.
Travis EtienneCLEMVT860028.14
Whenever Clemson is on the slate, we’re left with the same decision. Should you play Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne or both in cash and/or GPP lineups? Sometimes it’s a complete toss up with both the Tigers’ passing and running games having good matchups - which is the case here vs. Virginia Tech. The Hokies are poor at defending both the pass and run. This makes both Lawrence and Etienne great plays, although the price for Clemson’s lead back is definitely attractive for his usual DFS floor and ceiling in any given game. He’ll face a VT defense that’s giving up 189 rushing yards per game and has allowed 20 rush TDs over nine games so far. Opposing RBs usually have big statistical performances against this defense and Etienne is among the best in the country. You can play him in cash or GPP.
Jarek BroussardCOLARIZ770025.93
The best rushing matchup on this slate centers around Broussard as Colorado’s workhorse back. He’ll face an Arizona defense that’s giving up a ton of DFS production on the ground every week - including 229 rushing yards and three rushing TDs per game through three outings. Last week vs. UCLA, the ‘Cats defense let Demetric Felton rack up 206 rushing yards by himself! So it’s basically a dream matchup for Broussard, who’s rushed for 100+ yards in all three games so far and is averaging 30+ touches and over 120 rushing yards per game. Lock him in your cash lineups and don’t think twice.
Chris Rodriguez Jr.UKSCAR630015.23
After missing the last two games due to COVID protocols, Rodriguez is likely to be active tonight and return to his lead back role for Kentucky. We’ll need confirmation before this 7:30 pm ET kickoff, but he’s a solid GPP play if he’s finally back playing. Before his absence, Rodriguez rushed for 100+ yards in back-to-back games as he’s clearly been the best UK running back this season with Asim Rose and Kavosiey Smoke not getting it done when given the opportunity. Rodriguez and the UK rushing attack should put up big stats vs. a South Carolina rush defense that’s allowing 184 rushing yards and multiple rush TDs per game so far. If we get solid confirmation he’s active, you could even roster Rodriguez in cash games.

Also Consider:

  • Najee Harris - Alabama ($9,100) - GPP/Cash
  • Kevin Harris - South Carolina ($8,000) - GPP
  • CJ Verdell - Oregon ($7,000) - Cash/GPP
  • Cam’Ron Harris - Miami FL ($5,900) - GPP
  • Damien Moore - California ($4,500) - GPP
  • Jeremiah Hall - Oklahoma ($3,200) - GPP

DeVonta SmithBAMALSU960034.19
Although the price tag is absurd - and almost $3,000 more than the next-highest WR on the slate - we can’t deny that DeVonta Smith has been worth every penny. He’s putting up monster stats nearly every game with a stat line of at least seven catches, 140 receiving yards and 38 DK points in five of the last six games - and he’s usually doing even better than that if you can believe it. His DFS floor and ceiling are arguably the highest in all of college football right now as the clear-cut top receiver in a high-scoring Alabama offense that will likely score 40-60 points yet again tonight. His value has risen even more since Jaylen Waddle’s season-ending injury and he’s deserving of this price tag. Considering how expensive he is, he’s more in play for GPP’s - but it’s hard to argue against him in cash too.
Cornell PowellCLEMVT650014.38
While Amari Rodgers ($6,900) is a great play as Clemson’s #1 receiver, you can save a little to get Powell for almost the same production - and he brings upside for even more if he’s the one scoring TDs. Powell broke out three games ago with 11 catches for 105 yards - which ironically came in Clemson’s first outing without Trevor Lawrence. He’s since followed up that performance with two straight games of six catches, 160+ receiving yards and a TD as it’s clear the Tigers are making it a point to include him more in the offense with more important games upcoming. It was encouraging to see him and Lawrence be on the same page last week and he could be a GPP-winning play if he’s putting up 25-30 DK points yet again at this price tag.
Shi SmithSCARUK550018.16
After missing last week with a concussion, reports indicate that Smith will be back tonight - and he’s severely underpriced based on his true talent and DFS value. This will be a season-low price tag for Smith and it’s obviously just DK overreacting to his 1.9 points last time out (before suffering the concussion) and then subsequent absence a week ago. This is the most talented player on South Carolina’s offense who just put up a stat line of 10 receptions for 117 yards and a TD three weeks ago. His floor is usually safe with a high target share in the Gamecocks’ subpar offense - and he’s a massive value on this slate.
John Metchie IIIBAMALSU490016.5
There’s absolutely no reason for Metchie to be this cheap and he rightfully should be 100% owned in cash games because of it. Metchie is now the #2 receiver in Alabama’s offense with Jaylen Waddle out for the year - and he’s coming off a performance last week where he put up 23 DK points with multiple scores at a price point that was actually higher than he is now ($5200). With this extremely favorable matchup where Bama should throw all over LSU’s pass defense, expect Metchie to easily return value at this price tag for cash. The pairing of Mac Jones and Metchie in cash games should be a popular one.

Devon WilliamsORECAL450014.35
Oregon’s receiving corps has been a sliding door of productive pieces who seemingly trade places every week. Over the last two games, though, it’s been Devon Williams who’s emerged as QB Tyler Shough’s favorite target. Williams started the season slow, but he’s now put up back-to-back games with 100+ receiving yards and a TD with Shough looking his way often and on deep balls. It’s honestly a mispricing here because no one that’s scored 20+ DK points in two straight games should be below 5k in their next outing. We can also look at Mycah Pittman ($3800) as a value play with reports that he’ll be more involved on offense now that he’s healthy.
K.D. NixonCOLARIZ38006.6
Heading into this season, Nixon was Colorado’s top returning receiver but missed the first few games with an undisclosed injury. He finally made his season debut last week and the Buffs got him involved right away with his four catches on seven targets. Those receptions may have only resulted in 26 yards - but it’s a good sign that QB Sam Noyer looked his way often. With that heavy involvement in his first game back, we should expect even more production tonight - which would make Nixon a massive value at this price tag. He has the pure talent to be priced 3k higher than this and maybe a big performance today will have DK realize that.

Also Consider:

  • Amari Rodgers - Clemson ($6,900) - GPP
  • Kekoa Crawford - California ($6,000) - GPP/Cash
  • Stanley Berryhill III - Arizona ($5,800) - GPP
  • R.J. Sneed - Baylor ($5,300) - Cash
  • Theo Wease - Oklahoma ($5,100) - GPP
  • Jaylon Redd - Oregon ($5,000) - Cash/GPP
  • Makai Polk - California ($4,600) - Cash
  • Brevin Jordan - Miami FL ($4,400) - Cash/GPP
