We’re back for another slate of CFB DFS with the Week 11 night slate of games! This playbook focuses on the DraftKings contests for the six game night slate. Take note that the Pittsburgh-Georgia Tech game has been cancelled on this slate, so obviously don’t roster anyone from those teams. Everyone else is in play so let’s dive in!

Quarterbacks

Kyle TraskUFARK870035.12
In such an unpredictable college football season, Florida’s QB has arguably been the most consistent for DFS and he’s very deserving of this expensive price tag. Trask has now tossed exactly four TDs in four straight games after throwing for six scores in the opening game. His lights-out play with a 22:3 TD:INT ratio through five games has solidified his spot among the top Heisman contenders as he headlines a high-scoring Gators offense. It might seem like Trask is bound to come back down to Earth at some point, but it’s hard to ignore how good he’s been every single game thus far. Plus, we saw him have success through the air even in tough matchups vs. Texas A&M and Georgia. His ownership should be high in cash games with Florida owning the second-highest team total on the slate facing a below-average Arkansas defense.
Tyler ShoughOREWSU800026.58
A week ago, we didn’t even know who Oregon’s starting QB would be as Tyler Shough and now-backup Anthony Brown shared the dreaded co-starter designation on the depth chart heading into the opening game. Shough ended up starting and he’s officially won the job as Justin Herbert’s replacement after an impressive first start. In last week’s easy win over Stanford, Shough put up 26 DK points with solid passing stats and 85 rushing yards with a rushing score. That running production is certainly something that would make Shough a valuable DFS QB moving forward if he continues the trend. The Ducks have a favorable matchup vs. a Washington State defense that gave up 329 passing yards to Oregon State last week. He represents a great GPP target and is even cash viable on this short slate.
Bailey HockmanNCSTFSU610013.75
NC State’s QB position has been a rollercoaster experience this season but Hockman is now entrenched as the starter with Devin Leary recently undergoing surgery. There’s a ton of upside for the Wolfpack offense as they face a bad Florida State defense that’s allowing a lot of yards through the air and on the ground this year. Hockman’s cheap price tag could return some value in this plus-matchup. He’s coming off a career-best passing performance last week vs. Miami as he put up 28 DK points. He could easily replicate those numbers in a better matchup this weekend - and there’s a small revenge game factor here as Hockman spent his redshirt freshman season at Florida State.
Feleipe FranksARKUF580021.59
Revenge game narrative! It’s not often we get these in college football and this one has some real legs. Franks was Florida’s starting QB at one point last year before ultimately losing the position battle to Kyle Trask. It forced him to transfer in-conference this past offseason and now he gets the golden opportunity of beating his old squad on their home turf. Revenge aside, though, the matchup is actually a very favorable one for Franks. Florida’s pass defense has proven to be shaky this year and opposing QBs have been very DFS-viable against them in high-scoring, back-and-forth games. At sub-6k, Franks looks like the best Super-Flex option in cash games with GPP potential as well.

Also Consider:

  • Matt Corral - Ole Miss ($9,800) - GPP
  • Shane Buechele - SMU ($7,900) - GPP/Cash
  • Graham Mertz - Wisconsin ($7,700) - Cash if active
  • Jordan Travis - Florida State ($5,700) - GPP if active

Running Backs

Running Backs
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Kevin HarrisSCARMISS780023.88
In a year without many bellcow backs in the SEC, Harris has been one of the conference’s best RBs who’s performed nearly every week. His eight rushing TDs trails only Alabama’s Najee Harris in the SEC and he’s averaging 95.7 rushing yards and 17 carries per game so far. This South Carolina offense is usually run-heavy with Harris as the headliner and he should see close to 20 touches once again with a good chance at 100+ yards and multiple scores. The Gamecocks will face an Ole Miss rush defense that’s giving up a conference-worst 231 rushing yards per game and 19 total rushing scores through six games. In a game with a 70+ point total and South Carolina as barely two-score underdogs, Harris will have plenty of opportunities to be the slate’s highest-scoring RB. He’s playable in both cash and GPP and is more valuable than usual without many stud backs to choose from.
CJ VerdellOREWSU690024.5
Following back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons as Oregon’s lead back the last two years, Verdell picked up right where he left off in the opener last week. The Ducks’ feature back ran for 105 yards and a score on 20 carries with two receptions for 30 yards added in vs. Stanford. Although Verdell ran for 100+ yards in just three of 13 games a year ago, he’s slated to be the headliner in this 2020 version of the offense after taking a backseat to Justin Herbert and the passing game in 2019. With Oregon breaking in a new QB, expect Verdell to be leaned on much more in every game as one of the best RBs in both the Pac-12 and college football in general. He should see heavy volume in this matchup vs. a Washington State rush defense that was subpar last season and allowed Oregon State’s Jermar Jefferson to have a big game last week. If you need any more reason to lock him into cash games, just look at his stat line vs. WSU last season: 300+ total yards and three TDs.
T.K. WilkersonTLSASMU570013.37
This SMU-Tulsa matchup could go overlooked on a slate with more well-known power conference teams, but there’s some definite value on both ends. Tulsa, for starters, are actually favored over the 19th-ranked Mustangs and their powerful offense so that should tell you something about how potentially high-scoring this game could be. The Golden Hurricane backfield has been a bit unpredictable this season, but Wilkerson appears to be the team’s lead back when healthy. In his last two healthy games, Wilkerson saw 22 and 18 carries with 80+ rushing yards in both - numbers that were well ahead of fellow RB Deneric Prince. Wilkerson should get the most rushing opportunities in Tulsa’s run-heavy offense this week - and that could go a long way in a favorable matchup vs. SMU’s below-average rush defense that’s allowing 189 rushing yards and two rush TDs per game this season. He’s right on the fringe of being cash viable but has a big GPP upside.
Rakeem BoydARKUF490010.12
Boyd has battled a foot injury this season but this is a big discount on a lead back in a high-scoring game. Although Boyd is splitting backfield duties with Trelon Smith, the bulk of carries will go to the former when healthy - which is the case right now. In his last three outings, Boyd has seen 16 or more touches each game and is only a few weeks removed from a 100-yard outing vs. a tough Texas A&M rush defense. His price is down from 6k last week likely because of a subpar 7.4 DK points. Still, though, he got 19 carries in that game vs. Tennessee and the matchup gets better for him. Florida’s defense allows opposing offenses to hang around and we could see another high-volume performance from Boyd at a very attractive price tag. He’s a great GPP play this weekend.
Ricky Person Jr.NCSTFSU460011.63
While NC State runs a split backfield, Person Jr. is the better value compared to Zonovan Knight at $6200. Person’s 85 carries so far actually leads the team and it’s three more attempts than Knight. The duo’s reception totals are also basically the same with Knight (13) barely ahead of Person (11). And in terms of production, Person’s 414 rushing yards and three scores are very comparable to Knight’s 451 yards and four TDs. So the price discrepancy clearly makes one more valuable than the other in a favorable matchup - Florida State’s defense is allowing 200 rushing yards and three rush TDs per game. He’s right on the edge of being cash viable with this matchup and the discount and is definitely in play for GPP’s.

Also Consider:

  • Ulysses Bentley IV - SMU ($6,700) - GPP
  • Zonovan Knight - NC State ($6,200) - Cash/GPP
  • Jerrion Ealy - Ole Miss ($5,900) - GPP/Fringe Cash
  • La’Damian Webb - Florida State ($5,000) - Cash
  • Dameon Pierce - Florida ($5,400) - GPP

Wide Receivers

Wide Receivers
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
Elijah MooreMISSSCAR930032.27
If you have the salary, there’s no better DFS receiver than Elijah Moore with a floor and ceiling that are so much higher than any other WR right now. Just look at his stat line from last game: 14 receptions, 238 receiving yards and three TDs. He’s undoubtedly the top receiving target for QB Matt Corral and this high-scoring Ole Miss offense. Moore has recorded double-digit catches in five of six games and went 100+ in four of those - for an insane per-game average of 10 receptions, 138 yards and a TD. Again, though, he’ll cost you a pretty penny. Because of that expensive price tag, Moore can only be considered a high-upside GPP play if you can find the salary.
Kadarius ToneyUFARK700022.6
If you’ve followed college football or played DFS CFB this season, you know about Kadarius Toney as the ultimate playmaker in Florida’s offense. He’s a touchdown waiting to happen any time he touches the ball and the Gators are not shy to get the ball in his hands - whether it’s as a receiver or rusher. Before his uncharacteristic 11 DK points last game, Toney was averaging a whopping 25.5 DK points per game through the first four outings as he racked up seven total TDs to begin the year. He’s by far the best playmaker for Florida and he could have even more opportunity this week with star TE Kyle Pitts questionable to play. If Pitts ends up sitting (which is likely), then Toney gets a bump in value and he has the ceiling to be the best play on the board for GPP’s.
Treylon BurksARKUF670024.06
Outside a one-catch dud outing, Burks has quietly been one of the best DFS receivers in college football this season with some monster stat lines. If we take out that one bad performance vs. Mississippi State more than a month ago, Burks is averaging seven receptions, 112 receiving yards and a TD per game in his other four outings with at least five grabs, 95 yards and a score in every game. Arkansas is making a clear effort to get him the ball as much as possible as Burks even has eight rushing attempts in the last three games. He’s the clear-cut top receiving target for QB Feleipe Franks and the duo makes for a great pairing in cash or GPP.
Kenny YeboahMISSSCAR630021.6
If you don’t want to pay all the way up for Elijah Moore, then Yeboah is a cheaper way to get exposure to the highest-scoring projected offense on the slate. The tight end’s 22 receptions and 470 receiving yards are both second among Ole Miss’ pass-catchers - trailing only Moore - and his six receiving TDs are tied with Moore for the team lead. The touchdown production certainly helps Yeboah stay valuable for DFS, but it also makes him a bit TD-dependent at this price tag. Still, though, the ceiling is high for anyone in this Rebels offense and Yeboah has caught multiple TDs in two of the last three games. He’s definitely in play for GPP’s as more affordable option than Moore.
Kylen GransonSMUTLSA510012.44
The SMU offense suffered a major blow last month when stud WR Reggie Roberson suffered a season-ending injury. That loss has resulted in a lot more opportunities for the other Mustangs’ pass-catchers with Granson being a definite beneficiary. The SMU tight end exploded for a season-best stat line of six catches, 149 yards and a score last week vs. Temple and he’s seeing plenty of targets from QB Shane Buechele since Roberson’s injury. He should continue that trend this week in a game where SMU will likely have to throw more often in a tougher matchup vs. Tulsa and it’s good rush defense. At this price tag, Granson is a great cash game play for his floor production.
PlayerTeamOpp.DK $DK FPPGFD $FD FPPG
DJ JohnsonOREWSU420016.5
Sometimes DK overreacts to a one-game sample size with expensive pricing - but thankfully, that’s not the case here with DJ Johnson. The tight end came out of nowhere with five catches for 55 yards and a TD in Oregon’s opening game despite being buried on the depth chart. The reason for his high involvement? Well, for starters, the Ducks’ top three tight ends sat out last week with undisclosed injuries - vaulting Johnson into the starting lineup. All three of his teammates are looking doubtful for this week, so Johnson should be in the same role as one of QB Tyler Shough’s favorite targets in the short-to-intermediate passing range. He’s a massive value on this slate and will likely be very popular in cash and GPP for the savings.
Cary AngelineNCSTFSU410010.84
How about another tight end? For one reason or another, college TE’s can be very valuable for DFS and Cary Angeline is yet again a value play this week. Although he’s only totaled 16 receptions and 239 receiving yards through seven games, Angeline has GPP upside every week because of his ability to find the end zone. He leads the team in TD receptions with six and he’s scored in five of seven NC State games so far. Sometimes he’s held to one catch a week, but last time out he put up four grabs for 54 yards and a score - good for 15.4 DK points and a huge bargain at this salary.

Also Consider:

  • Jake Ferguson - Wisconsin ($7,500) - GPP
  • Travell Harris - Washington State ($6,500) - GPP
  • Shi Smith - South Carolina ($6,100) - Cash
  • Jaylon Redd - Oregon ($4,800) - GPP
  • Ontaria Wilson - Florida State ($4,500) - GPP
  • Mike Woods - Arkansas ($4,300) - Cash
  • Devin Carter - NC State ($4,200) - Cash
