Top Guards

Kamar Baldwin - Butler ($7,700 DK / $6,900 FD)

Although Baldwin started the season slow, he’s really stepped up his offensive game since Big East play began. In seven conference games, the senior combo guard is averaging 20.4 points and 32.2 DK points per outing with a 31% usage rate and 36% shots share - both top four marks in the Big East. He just exploded for 31 actual points and 53.5 DK points on Friday night vs. Marquette and although he operated as the lead point guard in that game with Aaron Thompson out - it was just another sign of how good Baldwin can be when his team needs him to be. It’s still up in the air as to whether Thompson will play tonight, but Baldwin will definitely have the ball in his hands a ton on offense regardless. Butler will now face a Georgetown team that likes to play fast and owns the worst defense in the conference - both factors that will help Baldwin’s DFS upside tonight.

Breein Tyree - Mississippi ($6,900 DK / $7,200 FD)

We haven’t suggested playing Tyree on many DFS CBB slates this season, but his price tags are too cheap to pass up right now considering his recent hot streak. Over the last five games, Tyree is averaging 25.4 actual points and 37 DK points with at least 20 points scored and 36 DK points in four of those outings. The Ole Miss senior is performing like he should be priced comfortably in the 7-8k range and he’s definitely a bargain on both sites. During SEC play, Tyree’s 32% usage rate and 37% shots share both lead the conference as he’s been one of the more exciting point guards in the country. Tonight, Tyree and the Mississippi offense will benefit from facing a fast-paced Auburn team that usually plays in high-scoring games for both teams. Plus, he also gets an upgrade from playing at home - where he’s averaging seven more DK points than on the road while shooting much better from the field.

Jordan Goldwire - Duke ($4,900 DK / $5,500 FD)

As long as Wendell Moore remains out for Duke, Jordan Goldwire will continue to be a solid value play with the increase in playing time and role in the Blue Devils’ backcourt. Moore (hand) is getting closer to a return but he’s still expected out for at least tonight’s game. In his absence, Goldwire has now started the past four games and he’s averaging 21.6 DK points and 31 minutes played per game over this span. The junior doesn’t offer much offensive upside, but he’s racking up a ton of steals, rebounds and assists in his extended time on the court to return enough DFS value. We should expect him to play another 30 or more minutes and provide 20 or so DK points yet again tonight as Duke leans on his defense to anchor the backcourt alongside Tre Jones.

Tomas Woldetensae - Virginia ($4,300 DK / $4,500 FD)

We swear we’re not overreacting to one game when we suggest Tomas Woldetensae. The junior had been a very solid value play lately before he exploded for 37 DK points and seven made three-pointers on Sunday. After beginning the season as a regular starter, Woldetensae has now started the past three games despite coming off the bench for the bulk of ACC play. We have to expect him to continue to start and get a ton of playing time after this weekend’s breakout performance. In that outing, he benefited from Kody Stattman sitting out with a concussion - which could certainly be the case again tonight. Virginia will also likely need Woldetensae’s hot three-point shooting against a Florida State defense that allows a ton of opposing points via the deep shot. When these teams met a couple weeks ago, the junior wing went 3-for-4 from three and put up 19.5 DK points in 32 minutes.

Isaiah Wong - Miami FL ($4,200 DK / $3,500 FD)

When Miami’s top two players were ruled out on Saturday, Isaiah Wong became an instant value play and he did not disappoint. The freshman entered the starting rotation for the first time all season with Chris Lykes and Kameron McGusty being late scratches - and he put up 28 DK points with 19 points scored in a season-high 35 minutes. Wong has been the main backup guard to both Lykes and McGusty this year and with both of them out, it’s not surprising to see his offensive usage and production skyrocket. This could very well be the case tonight with Lykes (groin) and McGusty (back) both game-time decisions and Wong probably having an extended role once again. Definitely check tomorrow to see if we get an update on Miami’s injuries, but Wong would be a very good value play if he starts once again considering his DFS salaries on both sites don’t reflect his last game.

David DeJulius - Michigan ($4,000 DK Only)

If you’re playing on DraftKings, David DeJulius is the value play to lock in. The sophomore is expected to start at point guard in place of Zavier Simpson, who’s been suspended for at least tonight’s game for a violation of team rules. Simpson has been Michigan’s main ball-handler and best assist man all season - so his absence is a big one and will ultimately open up a ton of opportunity for DeJulius and others. DeJulius, though, should enter the starting rotation and see a huge increase in playing time as he’s been the top back-up point guard and he owns the team’s second-highest assist rate during conference play (behind Simpson). We’ll probably also see Eli Brooks play some PG - but he’s been very good at the 2-guard position whereas DeJulius is more of a like-for-like substitute for Simpson with Michigan not needing to change their offense as much. Simply plug-and-play on DK in all formats.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Landers Nolley - Virginia Tech ($7,800 DK / $6,500 FD)

  • Samir Doughty - Auburn ($6,700 DK / $6,100 FD)

  • Jamorko Pickett - Georgetown ($6,100 DK / $6,000 FD)

  • Franz Wagner - Michigan ($5,900 DK Only)

  • Nojel Eastern - Purdue ($5,400 DK / $5,500 FD)

  • Thorir Thorbjarnarson - Nebraska ($5,300 DK Only)

Top Forwards

Reggie Perry - Mississippi State ($8,800 DK / $8,000 FD)

Who else rostered Reggie Perry when he busted on Saturday with his 15.5 DK points? It was very surprising to see such a bad game from Mississippi State’s best player considering he had put up 51 DK points in back-to-back outings prior and had been pretty safe for 35+ DK points all season. That poor game will certainly keep Perry’s DFS ownership down tonight with an expensive price tag yet again - but this makes him a very attractive GPP play because of his high upside. Even on the road against a tougher Florida defense, Perry can easily return value and more because of his high usage in the Bulldogs’ offense. Since SEC play began, the 6-foot-10 sophomore owns a 30% usage rate, 30% shots share and a 39% combined rebounding rate - stats that not only lead the team but are also among the top four in the conference. He has the nightly upside to be the best player on the slate at this point and there’s a chance it happens despite his rough outing last time.

Jon Teske - Michigan ($7,800 DK Only)

It’s a shame this Michigan game is only available on the DK slate because Jon Teske has the potential to have a massive performance. For starters, Teske will be needed on offense a lot more with starting point guard Zavier Simpson suspended. During Big Ten play, Teske is second on the team (behind Simpson) in offensive usage (22.5%) and shots share (22.6%) - and those percentages will definitely increase tonight with Simpson out. Plus, the 7-foot-1 senior center is in line for a very favorable matchup against a Nebraska frontcourt that lacks size and is the worst rebounding unit in the conference. Teske hasn’t been a consistent double-double threat like other Big Ten big men - but that’s certainly on the table tonight as Michigan’s likely #1 offensive option on most possessions in a plus-matchup. On DK, he presents a solid cash game floor if he stays out of foul trouble as the Wolverines should feed him a lot in the post.

Marek Dolezaj - Syracuse ($6,600 DK / $6,200 FD)

Syracuse has really turned its season around during conference action and a big reason for the improvement has been the emergence of Marek Dolezaj as one of the more well-rounded big men in the ACC. The 6-foot-10 junior has put up at least 32 DK points in seven of the last nine games and he’s averaging a stat-stuffing 11 points, 8.9 rebounds, four assists and 2.3 blocks/steals per game over that span. He doesn’t usually take a ton of shots in the Orange offense, but he’s heavily involved in every other facet which usually keeps his DFS floor pretty high. His salaries on both sites - especially on FD - are very attractive for a guy that’s been consistently putting up 30+ DK points. He could be in line for a good rebounding game against a Clemson team that does not rebound well on the offensive end.

Jordan Tucker - Butler ($5,400 DK / $5,400 FD)

Tucker has been one of the best bench players in the country all season as he would be a regular starter on most teams but excels in his sixth-man role for a balanced Butler squad. The former Duke transfer entered the starting rotation last game with Aaron Thompson out and, interestingly enough, it actually lowered his usage rate and DFS production in a game dominated by Kamar Baldwin on offense. It’s possible that Thompson sits again tonight - but Tucker is in line for a solid game either way. During Big East play, Tucker is making 50% of his 32 three-point attempts and is by far the best perimeter shooter on the team. Now he’ll get to face a Georgetown defense that allows the most opposing points via the three-pointer in the whole conference Although his salaries have increased, he’s still a solid value who can explode for 30 or more DK points if he’s hitting from deep.

Kobe Brown - Missouri ($4,400 DK / $4,200 FD)

There aren’t a ton of value forwards on this slate, but Kobe Brown is a solid cheap option as he’s seeing extended playing time lately. With Mizzou center Jeremiah Tilmon sidelined over the past month, we’ve seen Brown become one of the main benefactors of his teammate’s absence. The freshman has put up between 15-22 DK points in six of his seven games with Tilmon banged up as he’s gotten more offensive and rebounding opportunities. Brown missed a game recently but he returned to the lineup on Saturday and had 16 DK points in 14 minutes off the bench. We should see him re-enter Missouri’s starting rotation as he started the first 16 games of the season before an illness sidelined him. He should have some rebounding upside tonight as Georgia is the worst defensive rebounding team in the SEC and Brown has been one of the better offensive rebounders for Mizzou during conference play.
